I mean 'Red Hood' was literally just Robin in a mask with a couple of guns and he was countering Batman in all of his gadget glory so yeah... Though apparently they think that once you wear the suit once you become indestructible since Kate got hit by a van going at least 60mph and basically just got winded. She was more affected by the limpest kick in the face I've ever seen.

Arguably Ryan would have a pretty understandable reason to hate her for constantly enabling Alice and doing nothing about. Hell, Luke alone also have plenty reasons not to kiss up Kate especially the whole “losing his dead father’s journal because she couldn’t keep “it” in her crotch with an ex”.

Given the timeframe it could be before she arrived or after but this is more of an excuse to give Ryan a reason to have some drama with bat team or be willing to want to kill Alice so Ryan wouldn't just be a random street crime victim but a wonderland gang victim.

That’s how a lot of CW shows are: they’re filled with characters who do nothing expect happen to be there.

Because Luke is actually one of tge more competent characters on the show. The writers just choose not to do anything with him. He's more physically fit than Kate Kane or Ryan. Definitely smarter than them considering he's the one usually doing detective work other than Mary, for some reason. He's the only one if them that knows how to se the batcave computer properly as well as most of the weapons. At least when they aren't having him forget for a gag. And he has a good motivation to become Batwing since whoever set up to have dad killed is still out there. If the writers didn't relegate him to just "Black Nerd" he'd have an interesting story.

I can see this and this could make the show interesting, like, every season a different batwoman, one with more identities checkmarks than the other, with the writers and producers thinking that what they need to increase ratings is making the main character with more identity checks so more people can see themselves in her. (They think it's the only thing that a character needs to be relatable to the audience, being part of their same social minority group)

Based on what happens in the end the kryptonite inflection probably turns Ryan Batwoman into crippled batwoman or as close as they are going to get as in one of the comics she(comic kate) was crippled from a stab to the heart of all places and after the recovery she was limited in actions, I'm guessing combat abilities and stamina. So my guess this batwoman will be whining and/or weaken. Making her a bad replacement batwoman as it doesn't work here since this isn't bruce or comic book kate being determine to continue to fight crime after a serious injury in their established hero career, this is some that got crippled basically in the interview and got hired when they literally have women that could be better at it than her, Sofie and Pennyworth
