He's not jealous of soras keyblade because technically the blade sora weilds was originally meant for riku, but the sword sensed the darkness inside of riku and chose sora instead, and sora riku and kairi all have the ability to wield the keyblade thanks to auqa and the others from the "previous games"
KH - Terrible underwater controls and level design KH CoM - Floating enemies that avoid ground based sleights like Sonic Blade KH II - fixed both problems from the original game but gave us an awful musical based minigame. Also finny fun... FINNY! FUCKING! FUN!
KH2 really doesn't merit a guide, so I hope they don't use one if they play through it. The worlds are a lot more linear, and the game generally holds your hand through it, so it's not like they're gonna get lost. The only thing I'd see them missing are the Growth abilities, but you don't need them to beat the game, just the optional stuff, so it's not the end of the world.
@@baylaust Yeah KH2 while being linear it has everything. From the Journal actively telling you what to do from the latest moment to random NPCs having colored words on what to do "Hey there's this [SOMETHING] in location A".
@@baylaust See, you say that, but if they didn't use a guide, the comments would all be complaining that they didn't make any progress if they stopped for 5 minutes
It’s interesting to watch the Monstro cutscenes if you’ve saved this world for much later in the story. Certain lines and character moments can entirely change.
I think my favourite part of these KH jokes that pop up in the comments, is that most of them are actually completely accurate descriptions of the plot.
Gruk’Nar Orcish War-yer, Sora “no I gave a guy part of my sould. Fit Kairy’s sould in the empty spot. Then got killed and ressurected as the double chosen one.”
@@SapphireDragon357 Eh.... most of the time it's actually not even worth healing them since not only do they revive automatically, but most of the time they just charge directly into the next enemy attack and die again. They basically have the survival instincts of a gnat.
I know now, without a doubt, Kingdom Hearts is always greener in somebody else's lake. You dream about going up there, but that is a big mistake. Just look at the world around you. Right here on the ocean floor. Such wonderful things surround you, what more is you lookin' for?
22:13 First Pat starts saying that good media 'slaps', then Matt reveals his secret vore fetish... The Best Friends are slowly morphing into the McElroy brothers as time goes on...
@@dracomundo1498 get all of them and you get an upgraded Aero. Aeroga is busted because it damages enemies on touch and blocks attacks. Still getting all of them i requires to reach end game story so it is mostly for optional bosses/final boss
The weird thing is that changing into sea creatures in Atlantica (and possibly their costumes in Halloween Town, but you can argue that's a side effect of being in the world itself) is one of the only times Donald's magic is used to that extent (the other instance being Pride Lands in KH2).
Donald has weird levels of magic. Continuous use of body-changing magic for three people? Got that shit down. But he only knows mid range spells and doesn't even know Gravity yet.
Well there was that Disney movie with the Disney kids of the princes and princesses that came out a couple years ago.... Its canonical but i don't count it
1:58 after this reaction I am dying to wait and see how they react to the scene at the start of hollow bastion, if this is anything to go by thats going a big highlight of this playthrough XD
Look I'm just saying brudda, the king has some pretty convincing ideas and supports my views. All I'm saying is hear him out and learn from it that's all.
You have a finite amount of AP for each character which is displayed at the bottom right corner of the abilities menu. If you don't have enough AP to equip an ability then the unavailable abilities will be transparent. You need to level up, equip AP increasing gear or use an AP Up to acquire more AP. For the character select menu, the character at the far right is out of the party, when you click on another character, the two names that pop up are the characters you can swap them with. If Goofy is the farthest then he is not in the party and if you wanted to swap Donal out for him you'd have to select Donald, then select Goofy to swap. Some Heartless have elemental weaknesses you can exploit, I believe Jiminy's Journal explains the strategy on how to beat them in the Heartless section of the journal. The portals you see in the Gummi Ship sections are the warp points that will bring you back to previous Gummi tracks to go to another world manually but you have the Warp Drive so you don't need to use those but you will at least need to go into one of them one more time when two more worlds become available. Also, you can customize your Gummi Ship to have more guns to fire at enemies as well as a boost so speed through the Gummi tracks if you have to travel manually. Go back to the Dalmatian House when you get the chance and want to, the Dalmatians will give you items for returning the puppies and you get a cute scene of the puppies returning home. The puppies will then be in that area so you can see all 101 running around and playing.
I don't think Riku is jealous of Sora's keyblade. Riku has his own, way cooler and stronger, keyblade. I think Riku is bothered because Sora HAS a keyblade and is traveling the worlds with new friends. The very first scene Riku appears in Traverse Town he acts like he needs to protect Sora, as if he is powerless, and then Sora shows off by killing a heartless and Riku realizes Sora doesnt need his help. Theres also the fact that Donald straight up says Riku cant travel with them, FOR WHATEVER REASON. I mean that was pretty fucking cold, and I cant blame Riku for just leaving and going solo. Kinda makes me think that if Donald and Goofy werent around, MAYBE Riku would have joined Sora and they both would have looked for Kairi together.
For all the people freaking out about Twitter guy last episode, I'm pretty sure Phone a Friend guy was right in his initial assumption. Twitter guy likely wasn't referring to Kurt Zisa when he said there was a "cool guy" they would want to see, but rather the Arab pallete swap of Grand Wizard Wakka that appears after beating Jafar, but only BEFORE leaving the world. You can see him in the picture I found linked below: imgur.com/lHuIkh9
Matt you’re doing great sweetie, don’t listen to the haters giving sound advice regarding Scan You’re just playing the game in a totally unnecessary difficulty. Total SBFP move
@darklordster I mean, in their defense as frustrating as can be seeing all those mistakes due to lack of attention, they're playing the game but are also filling the empty spaces with fun little conversations for us the viewer, they could just shut up focus and play in silence but that would suck too so...bottom line: I don't fucking know
I'm kind of a noob when it comes to Kingdom Hearts lore but I think how it works is that if your evil of hateful enough then you'll be swallowed by darkness and become a heartless. You can be totally evil and not be a heartless but it's being TOO evil that you gotta be careful of.
It's the force, heartless are sith. Become to overwhelmed by any emotion and you can access the dark side of the force/powers of darkness, but if you draw from it too much or have it forcefully injected into you it devours your heart and a heartless forms around it, your body and soul disappearing.
the whole thing is that heartless are drawn to darkness in people and the more you interact with them the more likely you are to lose your heart but if you're a big enough bad ass you can keep them at bay.
You're basically right. Darkness is a force of the universe, same as light. Both have always existed, both always WILL exist. Just like light can be used as a weapon, so too can darkness. If you become too entrenched in that darkness, however, it will inevitably consume you, endgame being either the Heartless killing you, becoming one yourself, or both.
@@seanmartin355 I kinda wish they'd play the original Yakuza 1 instead and riff on its infamous English dub. Weird KH-related fact: Detective Date was voiced by Goofy's VA in that dub.
@@gaminggoddess85 Pat wouldn't do the original yakuza because he says the gameplay is bad compared to the sequels and told people to get kiwami instead
“Wow, we sure are saving up a ton of Munny from cutting costs from somewhere... imagine how many potions we can buy when we finally get back to the shop!”
I can't believe how much less stressed I feel watching Matt play, now that he understands the core gameplay loop of jumping, countering, and quick cure. Now the rest of this LP should be smooth sai- Oh fuck, Atlantica..... I fucking hate this world.
Yo, was listening to you guys' concern over Maleficent's use of the word "darkness". All I have to say is...you guys are going to have a great time with this game series' dialogue.
I've NEVER seen anyone play an RPG, get a traversal ability, exclaim there is a ton of treasure they can get, and then COMPLETELY IGNORE ALL THE TREASURE. What the actual fuck Matt?
14:57 The entire fandom can back up that objection; we've all contemplated the particular conditions of Crazy Talk's power to distinguish genuine belief in untruths and acts of lying (which Crazy Talk doesn't work against).
No woolie, you can block to deflect as well, and the tech points you get from deflections help level you up quicker as well. But most importantly, theres a scan to help see your damage output
Trying to salvage the last "new" sbfp episodes, as much as I'm enjoying this. It's painful to know it will never be completed and I won't see any notifications for new episodes posted again. One can always hope some day In the future the guys will work things out.
Friendly reminder that all of this is technically Donald's fault. If he'd just let Riku come with them to search for Mickey, none of this would have happened.
So back before I had a PS2, learning that this section existed and you got to play as a mer-version of Sora made me really want to play it. And I really enjoyed it... shame about Aquatica in 2 though
