All he needs now is a button that allows him take what little XP Pat has. He needs it, man! You can upgrade your new shot-phaser when you get it next level, Pat!
I want an actual episode or movie of Star Trek to be like this. Where Kirk and Spock just wander around back and forth like idiots, jumping and dodge rolling for no reason. While the rest of the crew act like this is completely normal.
this game is not even listed on speedrun.com so if Matt and Pat did a live stream of them playing the whole game in one sitting no matter how long it took they have the World Record
@Funny Valentine 2020 I've never heard them mention it, but I'd figure it's just because there aren't enough wrestling games left to fill out another whole month, which makes sense. But also they're big cowards.
Now I don't know anything about Star Trek, but "Paint targets for an airstrike" doesn't sound like something that should ever be said in the setting ever.
They actually fire a single photon torpedo at the Decepticons in the first issue of the Transformers/Star Trek comic. Clear skies though, the Enterprise can clearly lock onto what it's aiming at, and one torpedo injures Soundwave and causes the Decepticons to scatter. THREE TORPEDOES for a few Gorn seems pretty insane, especially if you assume Kelvin ships are by default armed better than ToS ships.
I think we can call this overlay since when aiming you character is always above this usually prevent camera clipping... but make silly things like this
So I noticed that at 22:53 if you watch the Gorn closely it seems like the model stays in place while the ship moves which makes the enemy model slip around and then suddenly it just disappears into thin air. Very surprised Matt didn’t laugh at that.
I laughed so much when Pat was shouting the air strike mechanic going "no that's a stupid idea, those proton torpedoes are like nukes!". I'm just like "look Pat; they clearly wanted them to work more like star wars torpedoes" because again it would cooler to have more "battle scenes" than just more "should we use the nukes or not?" scenes. That being said I do forget if they were treated like nukes in the new movies. I also forget if they were even used in the new movies.
No one saw that lizard glitch out when he gets onto the ship? He runs but just blips out of existence. I do agree, if I was walking with my junk out there's no way I'd travel to space.
Remember when the crew was going to land on a nice planet for Shore Leave, and then McCoy saw the white rabbit from Alice In Wonderland run in to a hedge saying "My paws and whiskers!, I'll be late"!
At the meeting room of a certain game company: Guy 1: So should we make a game based on the new Star Trek movies, but, like, make it a third person shooter with ragdoll animations? Guy 2: That is most illogical. Guy 1: Great! productions starts now. Guy 3: I bet I can sucker the actors into lending their voices too!
Kinda surprised they didn't make a joke about the best way to deal with Gorn was for Kiek to sleep with one of them then list all the possible weirder things Kirk has slept with.
Pre-video prediction: these two chuckle-heads will spend about five minutes of this video giggling while playing with stupid glitches instead of playing the actual game, and I will be grateful for it.
I honestly felt like I had been watching this for atleast 40 minutes. I moused down to the timeslider... only 23 minutes in... _"Ohh... it's setting in"_
I just watched Star Trek Beyond in preparation for this lets play since Pat mentioned on the podcast that he would talk about it. HOLY SHIT gravity makes no sense in that movie. Whenever the enterprise is in a space battle and they're trying to maneuver and they're banking everyone on the ship is just rolling around on the ground and falling all over themselves and it makes no goddamn sense. A ship with artificial gravity banking IN SPACE wouldn't affect anyone inside the ship. The artificial gravity that isn't relative to anything except the inside of the ship, there's no "up" or "down" in space.
@@Samm815 Oh no, they're travelling through subspace, which isn't really "our" universe. Physics is different in there; it all makes sense. The gravity thing makes sense too. Now teleportation is where I draw the line; completely unrealistic.
For some reason I keep thinking that Pat is Kirk and that Matt is Spock. I also love that the Vulcan Lady Captain Dark Elf’s crew died in the last part, and not two fucks were given.
I lost my fucking shit when Spock got grabbed by the Gorn and they said Pat: Matt! Matt: That's not my screen. Pat: OH. and Spock just got fucking thrown off the ship lmfao 🤣🤣🤣
Remember that time troi got turned into a romulan? cuz I do, as in, I went to netflix and picked a random episode right after watching the episode where they talked about how many times people got transformed and it was the episode where troi got turned into a romulan. it was a weird experience.
*Walks into Gamestop* Me: "One copy of Star Trek please." Edit: I just want to say thanks to everyone who liked my comment. This is the first time a comment of mine has gotten so many likes. :)
Am I the only one who keeps thinking Matt's playing as Spock and Pat's playing Kirk, and keep getting confused by the fact that it's the other way around?
I'm saddened they didnt notice the Gorn spazzing out once he jumps back on his ship. You saw that cutscene twice and didnt notice? Oh well everything is falling apart, it's just the new normal.
That Dr. Curt Connors monster sure did a good job of throwing Kock (Spirk?) safely away from its giant sharp teeth that it could have easily used to bite his head off.
Well Pat, they clearly used the same Torpedoes from that Voyager episode, Alliances where they launch two at that shuttle in a CITY, and it barely out performs a hand grenade.
