Black and white thinking -- seeing people and situations as ALL good or completely contemptible -- is a common trait of Complex PTSD. As you heal your childhood trauma, you'll be able to see more nuance, and tolerate ordinary human shortcomings in yourself and others. At the same time, you'll be able to detect unacceptable behavior, and more confidently set boundaries.

"Relationships where one person dominates." That's it, isn't it? In a nutshell, the entire relationship is about that one person treating you like your whole purpose in life is to kiss their feet and do what they tell you. Any time you say No to anything, you threaten their feelings of superiority over you, and they'd totally rather lose you than consistently treat you with kindness and respect. We can definitely heal from these people, we just gotta get away from them first . . .

I see the glimmer of light and I’m so excited! Not to be taken for granted but I told my better half if he doesn’t want to proceed differently then I can’t do this anymore and I’m so OK with it 🙏💛

I’ve decided I need to see a CPTSD therapist to start my journey to healing of which I’ve never felt worthy of because I was not believed when I finally got the nerve to tell my family. To this day my mother thinks I telling wild stories! She would be wrong about that!😳😭

@@CrappyChildhoodFairy You're fantastic! Your videos are a wonderful supplement to therapy. In fact, my therapist was excited that I told her about you and she has recommended your videos to her clients. I have an incredible therapist who specifically focuses on helping people recover from trauma. We've worked together for 8 years and it's been worth every penny and every second of my time. There were days when getting out of bed was an accomplishment. And there were times when I said out loud to myself, "I'm exhausted. I can't do this anymore. God, please just take me home and free me from this torment." But He strengthened me, and I never gave up. My therapist told me that she's never had a client before who fought this hard for her freedom and refused to give up. I'm not saying that out of arrogance. I'm saying it because I want to encourage everyone who reads this: You CAN do it. You WILL make it through. You ARE stronger than you think. You ARE worth fighting for. Never, ever give up! The healing and freedom you will experience...oh my friends, it's worth all the agony, tears, and hard work. I'm only in the early stages of living more as a healed person rather than a broken one, but it's the best thing I've ever experienced. Persevere, beautiful souls! And thank you, Fairy, for your role in our process. God bless you for it. ❤️

I look forward to losing my b&w thinking ... but no one ever discusses that it's a coping mechanism as we feel things so deeply ... it's a way to ease the pain of rejection, abandonment, any trigger that could throw us into a more intense state of dysregulation ... or maybe it's just me

I still think that most of my relatives (except for three people) should be cut out of my life. My real family consists of those 3 and my friends. One of my frenemies that I gently called out on her blind spot in her criticism no longer wanted to talk to me. As they say the trash took itself out.
