@@jonetshkin I love this community. No one ever denies that claim of John as being the goat. We all know what he's accomplished in his prime. The man literally has done things no other arm wrestler could dream of doing. Yes devon, todd, cyplenkov, etc., etc., are strong and have gone the distance and have done amazing things. They are amazing in their own respect. Not knocking those pullers. But john brzenk is the man. hes got nothing to prove anymore. e Everything else is just for fun and a joy to watch.
A 57 year old athlete doing a regular job , growing an awesome youtube channel , still proving why he is considered the GOAT of his sports . There may never be another athlete who can build such a legacy . Respect .
The FACT that John rarely got elbow fouls throughout his career is one of the only reason why he's The GOAT, He's always calm and controlled with no flying elbow
John Brzenk is the GOAT. Please people he don't need any advice on how to be better. Your watching a 57 year old legend doing what he was born to do. Doing it against men half his age. Enjoy this while it last. For me I see this as a farewell tour. Doesn't matter if he wins ten straight matches or even lose and struggle. John Brzenk legacy is already solidify.
Maybe even the official way has its advantages. I like that doing it there is always respectful. Well, there was nothing to complain about in this game about respect either.
Ikr right I've only really been into armwrestling since the start of cov, but I've watched a lot of the older matches and just from a purely RU-vid viewing experience, this is one if the best matches I've seen.
@@countofst.germain6417 not much fumbling around with the set up and straps, and we got to see some nice grinding armwrestling and not just flash pins.
Couldn't be more wrong. Dmitriy is one of the strongest 220/242 guys in North America. That's not just my opinion; it's in the rankings. Arm wrestling ability isn't dictated by RU-vid subscriptions.
It's a credit to Brzenk (or at least his bookers) that he's taking on opponents like Kachan who are not social media stars but are considered to be among the strongest around his bodyweight by those who know
@@1960taylor The guy above you literally said that its NOT about social media presence but the rankings. So because you havent heard of him does NOT implicate he is a nobody and his performance vs John showed that.
Simply WOW.... a lesser arm wrestler would've been toast when their hand was compromised as yours was here, but that insane side pressure is yet another Tool of the GOAT. What a display..... And that Dmitry is the real deal too. Great video John.👍👍💪💪
Have not been a fan of arm wrestling for long at all, I learned about John following Devon Larratt but after discovering his history and prestige in this sport coupled with the fact that he is still so dominant at the age of 57 while being an otherwise ordinary guy with an ordinary job, it really is inspiring stuff. My hats off to you sir.
It was really his hand that was insane I think John’s back pressure was better which was one of the things that helped him pull him across the table when he red lined. I could be wrong
Mr. Brzank, I'm as impressed with your sportsmanship and humility as I am with your once in a generation ability. As an older athlete I know how hard it is to train as we age, and yet you look fantastic, and perform at your best. Truly amazing. I know its not all talent. You have the heart of a lion! Well done!!
I'd like your comment, but then your no.' of likes - 57' - would no longer match his age :D. He has 4 decades of dominance, so I guess that's more than a generation. It is kinda crazy to think of what it takes to achieve this...it is not just genetics. I think his other great asset is fearlessness. He is not afraid of losing.
John I'm gonna say it again, you are my hero. I hope you rise to the top once again to remind everyone you are still here! Much respect to you brother! 👏🏾
Holy shit had to pause 1:38 to say JOHN BRZENK IS THE MAN!!! damn that was awesome even with Dmitri pulling his shoulder back before the ready go John stops every hit and the dominates with the press!🤙💯💪🏼
@@quiet216 Robbie could have beaten Dmitry that day if he played his cards right. It was very close and Robbie made a couple mistakes as well as a couple calls not going his way. John however, doesn’t make mistakes. Dmitry had the upper hand each round, but John was flawless in his decisions and approach.
Incredible adjustment! Lots of pullers would throw in the towell when losing their hand position. It reminded me of one of your matches with Taras Ivakin.
Sir John Brzenk, your the reason why i love armwrestling. Those micro expressions on your face when your about to turn the tables ✨🖤 Love from half way across the world, Pakistan
I just got goosebumps everywhere! I don't know how else to say it. John is the GOAT of Armwrestling, every king and pheasant of Armwrestling unanimously agree on that. BUT John might also be the GOAT of any sport known to mankind! He defies humanity and human potential. If God, Jesus, Zeus, Hercules or whoever is an Armwrestler, it would be JOHN BRZENK! Thank you John for being an inspiration to me ever since I heard about you as a kid thanks to Sly's 1987 OTT. ❤️ You are the very definition of GOATness! n.b. Why can't they knight him? 🤔 He deserves to be called 'Sir John Brzenk'. 😉💯🔥
This was great John! I hope you will keep pushing yourself, but at the same time I don't want you to over do coming out of retirement. Thank you for all the effort into the channel because I know it's outside of your wheel house!
thats insane! so happy you're still pushing armwrestling as a sport and inspire the younger athletes who probably haven't known that much of you until now!! Greetings from Germany!
It was such a great armwrestling war, they both should get some sportmanship/ fairplay award, no tricks like Devon does, no draining opponent at the setup, no fighting about some small but not quite fair advantage at the setup, just giving the opponent straight hand and wrist for the start, great respect for each other, very fair starts - pure fight, pure armwrestling - that is what that sport should be, that's what we all want to see it. I'd like to see Dmitry against all of the north Americas and worlds top in his weigh class. Great match! Congratulations for both of them for showing what that great sport of armwrestling should be about!
Love that soundtrack John. This was a fine example of armwrestling genius in my humble opinion. Well done to Dmitry, he is going to go a long way in the sport. Would not be easy to move the steel hand of the great man. You, however are looking good John mate. Is obvious you have that old fire in the belly once again. Look out armwrestling world!!!
I have been watching this sport for 15 years, and when John Brzenk armwrestles it's nothing like any other, there is something magical about the movements, force direction etc that you simply can't see in any other match.
This is one of the most inspirational videos I've seen in a long time. The video quality, the music, the camera angles with the crowd in the background are all perfect. That and it's my #1 favorite athlete.
The perfect storm lives on. Excellent performance from Dmitiry, he is coming along very healthily. This was an incredible match and a great experience for him. He pulled legend today. It's always the best to see you John. God be on your health and security of the body. You're my idol. Blessings from Ohio.
Amazing! When I think how would want to live in my 50's John comes in to my mind. Spending day at work and riding Harley around scenic views after. Fly on competition for a weekend meet old friends.
Amazing performance! Just a thought (and probably a very unpopular one), maybe look into some low intensity steady state cardio? about 20-30 min 2x/week ...it should/will help you recover much faster both in between pulls/rounds and on your rest days. And obviously the health benefits that come along with it :)
