Oth Wisconsin jails or atleast this one in particular seems good compared to other places - one of the few that still carries the rows of bunk beds. Pods like that are just a massive party 24/7

Actually, prison is dismally hard work. You miss a meal (of that institutional food (powdered eggs and milk, etc) and you have to work, only you get pennies on the dollar compared to a regular income, for crap at a canteen. No, look it up. He doesnt get to sit in his cell and read all day.. and many state prisons are very violent, dirty, stagnant to putrid air. This isn't Denmark/

@@shaheedharun445 No. Jail food is delicious, and meal plans are put together by a state registered dietician for balance, nutrition, and proper calories/carbs/proteins. It provides ample diets for everyone, including vegetarian options as well as kosher/low sodium, and halal. Have a nice day.

It’s actually something common in people that watch too many movies and get too emotionally invested in shows and movies. When they experience real life events where they should feel sad, they don’t really feel that sad emotion as strongly as if they were watching a movie.

She knew what he did and kept talking to him for months and months, all the way up to a month before trial. We know she knew from simple deduction that her mother was a personal witness of him coming out of the woods after dumping the torso, and also because she volunteered the river screenshot after she learned about the remains found on the news. She lawyered up within a week after his arrest. Her lawyer requested that, even if not true, she'd be publicly cleared of being a suspect. However you want to spin it, she knew he chopped up his parents and talked to him like nothing happened and all was well, like he was in jail for running a red light or something. For months.

they've been especially Cat's mother Dulce, but Chandler always blocks them with " I can't talk about my case through the phone, because my lawyer said so".

Kat is an embarrassment to all humans over the age of 8 years old. I hope she’s grown up because she really was a pathetic girl.

Yeah it's kind of crazy isn't it? Cats talking about she's too scared to go outside because of strangers but she's talkin to a man he'd just murdered and dismembered his parents. while I totally get what you mean, this was probably intentional for a different reason than him being an @sshole, not that he isn't, of course he's one of the most terrible people on this planet, but I don't think that's why he was silent on that matter. He was exceptionally deep in this sh!t already, but apologizing can and will often be twisted into an admission of wrongdoing and/or guilt which would be worse for him no matter how bad it is now (short of him having already confessed, and even then it would make the dismissal of that confession more difficult), that's why your lawyers will always advise you to NEVER ever discuss anything even remotely pertaining to the case at hand. Obviously there was barely a way out for him, but I'd wager that any hope of his lawyers pulling off a miracle and establishing a semblance of reasonable doubt would likely have been hindered by him having apologized or said something like it, since that would be the closest thing to an admission of guilt he has said (as far as I can tell, I've watched all of the available interrogations and footage but maybe I missed something)

He cheated on her the entire time too. My heart breaks for that poor girl. I can’t begin to imagine the trust issues she’s going to have and the trauma she’s endured over this horrific tragedy. It was after he was arrested, in jail waiting for his trial to begin. At this point in time, she did not know about the evidence against him, as it was not made public until the trial. She was also fed nothing but lies by Chandler, which she believed, because who on earth would assume that the spouse or partner they love is capable of doing the insane things Chandler did? I watched the story unfold in real time, and even I can hardly believe it. He's like, cartoonish levels of evil. Even without the evidence in the murder case, over time she saw his true colors and ended it. The man she loved didn't exist, Ave it must have been heartbreaking for her. Chandler acted the role of the perfect boyfriend, and a mild-mannered, humble, disabled man. In jail, his mask slipped and he exposed who he really is: an arrogant, lazy, professional victim who whines incessantly and thinks mild inconveniences= the whole world is against him (fuggin' really, dude 🙄). He only cares about himself, and will say or do anything to get what he wants. Cat is definitely naive, but weshe's only 20 here and Chandler was her first and only serious boyfriend in her entire life. We're all dumb and overly trusting when we were that young. But she isn't a bad person, and she's absolutely not a murderer.

My gut says otherwise, & I’ve actually come to the opposite conclusion. I believe Chandler is not guilty of these heinous crimes he was charged with. It just doesn’t make any sense. There’s no motive, Chandler had no criminal history whatsoever. He was enrolled in college (wasn’t attending his current classes at the time, but enrolled in college nonetheless). There was no forensic evidence directly linking Chandler to the crimes. Only testimonies of neighbors/ police officers who clearly had a bias against Chandler from the beginning. The biggest piece of testimonial evidence? …. 2 lesbian women, “parents” of Chandlers girlfriend. Who participated in this sinful and very wrong same-sex relationship, which is not only against the Bible & Gods will, it is psychologically damaging to children who grow up in these households. And to be completely honest… I find it absolutely disgusting. I don’t know why there sworn testimonies would be allowed in a court of law, where participants are required to swear on the Bible.

As well as why would he have search history about the crimes BEFORE any evidence was brought to light to the public about it? I believe he committed the murders, then when cag caught him at their spot, he confessed to cat and told her some bogus story about how it was self defense or he sold her a bill of good abouts starting a new life with the insurance money, then she went along with helping the clean up, and that cat was a hostile witness in court as she agreed to testify against chandler in exchange for immunity from the prosecution team, just a theory but there is way too much involvement in the clean up from cat for me to believe that she unintentionally helped him, as well as it being odd that EVERYONE else was highly skeptical of chandler

Your father sounds like a good man who made a big mistake or poor decision. I always question this as well how selfish people in prison are who stay with their girlfriends / wives. Most men on the outside would not wait for a woman in prison for years. But also people like Tex Watson who killed multiple people was on death row converted to life, and still married to a random woman in prison, and had three or four kids with her. How selfish is that? Really bugs me. The guy in CO who killed his wife and kids, Chris Watts. I have no doubt he's probably met a few women on the outside who he's having a relationship with while in prison. Of course the other person's choice, but they look at him as a celebrity. Sad.

Watching the trial the topic of whether or not Cat was still believing him or had figured it out by then was polarizing! I wasn’t convinced that she had figured it out by that time. I’d love to hear when she finally catches on. She just seems really emotionally immature and naive. And it seems like he had her conditioned. That really caught me of guard. During her interrogation, she said multiple time what a great cook he is. Now, sure, all the prison foods sounded disgusting, but I was giving him a pass because he didn't exactly have much to work with, but then one of his famous recipes is "mix frozen beans with canned soup, put store-bought fried onions on top and bake." That alone pushed me a fair way back towards believing she's just delusional.

Before she found out the truth in the discovery from the prosecution. “Deny until you die” was his game plan. Probably even lied to his own defense team. Which explains why they couldn’t help him much at trial. He gave them nothing to work with, so he got zero defense.

The evidence against him was overwhelming, but his attorneys were the worst I have ever watched, out of some really incompetent public defenders. He deserved a long sentence, but I believe in parole, except for the very worst. Unfortunately in our world today there are many who are much worse. If his defence attorneys had done their job, they probably could have won him an opportunity for parole by pulling apart the perfect middle-class family and delving into resulting mental health issues. Keep in mind it would have been a chance for parole, not guaranteed parole, and not until after at least thirty or forty years. Even Ezra McCandless got an opportunity for parole after fifty years. She is arguably just as twisted.

Believe it or not, I think she doesn't know that. Interestingly, she said she didn't meet yet with the DA. In trial prosecutor Brown asked her if until she met with them if she knew Bart and Krista was dead. Under oath she said no. In Sept calls Dulce said 'I'm worried about Cathryn when it all comes out". I suspect Dulce shielded her in misguided idea it would hurt her too much, but letting her carry on a relationship, albeit via phone and text, with that maniac was far worse, I believe. But so far Cat never asks about the parents, so she is in denial, not allowing herself to face the obvious facts until she had no choice. God knows how she cried when she came to terms with what Hubby was capable of. At some point she had to also realize she might have been the next disappearing person had Hubby gotten away with it. Of course he is the worse murderer in terms of leaving evidence in this age of advanced forensics and digital technology I've ever heard of.

This is how most 20-30 year olds talk especially with their partners.. extremely typical honestly.. also yeah it's cute and silly and light but that doesn't mean they don't have other thoughts and feelings but right now they are kinda keeping it light because they can't talk about stuff while he's waiting for trial..

You may be right, but I think the fantasy was hers, he just wanted someone to send stuff for as long as possible. He knew he was getting convicted and all the talk was to keep the stamps and snacks coming. I suspect even Cat harbored doubts about ever seeing him free again, but wouldn't allow herself to face that future, not while she was still in love with the monster.
