Consultant Sells Bride A Dress That ISN'T Available In Her SIZE | Say Yes To The Dress: Big Bliss 

If I was a plus size bride I wouldn't waste a second or a dollar on Kleinfelds. I would buy a ticket and head over to the UK and see Gok or Jo and Al.

Just did a quick search... Prior to coming on the show in 2011, the bride had already lost 30 pounds as a result of weight loss surgery . Apparently she went on to lose another 70 pounds prior to the wedding. Believe it or not, I found one tiny little wedding pic, and I think she actually wore the dress she chose (altered, of course).

This girl needs Jo &Al not Kleinfelds!

If they found her a decent dress in a style that really flattered her and that she absolutely loved, she wouldn’t feel confused. It doesn’t say much for a renowned store if they don’t carry plus size gowns that are modern and not like some left overs from the 70’s and 80’s !

What a lovely and generous friend to pay for the dress! And yes I agree that Kleinfeld is rubbish in providing the experience and selection of dresses that all plus-sized brides should enjoy, regardless of size. Jo & Al are amazing ... and they run a small boutique in the UK. Kleinfelds like to boast the have "the largest selection of wedding dresses in the world." If that is true, then extra shame on them. The average dress size of women in the US is somewhere between 16 and 18 (taking into account that retailers keep on changing the numbers on garments so that women 'feel better'). Most women are far away from 4 or 6. Kleinfelds should really be mortified at their failure to get it so wrong for plus-sized brides. Every bride wants to feel special, not only on the day, but through the entire experience of getting engaged and doing all of the preparation. The brides and their loved ones walking through a bridal boutique, should only have a very positive experience.

She did lose the weight. She lost over 100 pounds. They had to practically rebuild her dress but alterations got it done in time for her wedding

Kristy is just beautiful and it is a shame she doesn't see that. I think she has so much going for her and I truly hope she will be able to catch sight of what the rest of the world sees in her.

Add a plus size bride, I wish she had found something different. I simply went to David’s bridal and they have a great selection and the lady that helped me was so understanding and sweet. I still love my dress.

I'm literally her 😭😭😭😭 I'm afraid to go shopping cause I know I'm big. Dress shopping involves a shop attendant when I'm used to hiding in the dressing room and figuring it out myself, but wedding dress shopping there's someone right over your shoulder.

The strapless roushed dress really looked best on her. I wish they’d showed her what the strapless dress might look like with delicate straps added, since she still had straps in mind.

I'm so happy that this bride was able to find a dress that she really loved but that could have been a really devastating moment if the staff was not as professional because that could have really shook the rides confidence for a mistake like that but again this is and you go there because the staff is the best of the best and no matter what they will make it work for anybody! Congratulations! 💐

I love all the comments mentioning how every plus-sized bride should go to Jo and Al's in the UK. They are great but they are across the Atlantic ocean! Not every woman is going to hop on a plane for a wedding dress when there are plenty of bridal shops that cater to plus-sized brides right here in the US.

She should have gone to the bridal store (Curvaceous Couture) for plus size brides in Maryland. They once had a show on TLC.

This was a beautiful choice. What a stressful situation, though. The consultant knows her stuff and knowing she'd have a plus sized bride as a client she should have looked into those kinds of things before the appointment. I do think that all the consultants need to attend a training about catering to plus size brides, tall brides, brides who might have apple shapes or brides who want different coloured dresses/looks. I think/hope that many designers are including larger sizes in their dress range.

Well... The Honorary Brides Made is paying 5K for a dress that doesn't currently fit the bride. That does not include all the alterations, etc. Lemony Snicket's! What a series of unfortunate events. Was there a follow-up to this? Was she able to get into the dress for her wedding? Did she lose the weight? Were the alterations made. Did the sales person lose her job for making such a huge mistake in such a prestigious salon??? This place just does not cater to plus sized brides. Their dresses are not flattering to the full sized figure. I think the plus sized brides would be better off to have their dress custom made and could do it for a lot less. I sure hope the beautiful bride wound up with a very happy day and Best Wishes to her.

Strapless gowns are best for smaller-chested women or women who are not plus-sized. The fact is, if you're plus-sized it's very likely that your "girls" are going to be on the larger side as well, so if you choose a strapless gown, in order to keep the girls in their place, you have to go with a tight strapless bra which effectively pushes your girls up to your neck making you look larger. It's just not flattering, and you're gonna spend the entire wedding uncomfortable and then your self-esteem issues kick in and you wonder if the people are just being polite when they say something nice about how you look. If you're plus-sized, try something more classic than something you've seen on smaller brides just because THEY fit the strapless option. This is in no way meant to be offensive to anyone, and without a doubt, go with what makes you feel comfortable. This was meant only as a thinking-outside-the-box suggestion.

I don’t see this dress on this beautiful Bride-she doesn’t look comfortable or happy or bridal-I can’t believe they didn’t offer her more choices but maybe that was in her price range-she needed Jo and Al either way I wish her and her groom all the best and she is beautiful ❤🥂

This is a bride for keeps. She didn’t fret or bawl because the dress didn’t come in her current size and decided to use it as a motivation to achieve her weight loss goal. We should be supportive of the change she wants to make for herself instead of focusing on a “oversight” that the consultant made.

Once again klienfelds has zero ability to even talk to a bride who's not a size 2-6 let alone get her into a dress that fits. How is it possible that a dress store this large only goes up to 28?!

Are you still so narrow minded in this day & age to think that ALL heavy females are heavy due to eating? Surprise! ITS NOT!!!! I can't imagine why the bridal gown designers aren't making more dresses for normal sized women, who people refer to as plus size. Average woman in the USA is a 14-16, so a plus size would be double.

Kleinfields is a business. Quotas have to be made. It’s also a TV show. I find the Assistant most attentive to the girls that come in that have unlimited budget. I believe that they don’t cater to plus size girls.

They need to get plus size dresses like the ones at Curvey Brides.

That was a hard episode to watch. Other tv shows specializing in big brides do it right every time, but this consultant is not cheerful like those British consultants. She did not seem happy to be helping. I hope the bride did lose her weight and I hope she looked wonderful!

If she loved the dress and only comes in 28 size, why wouldn’t you try to lose a little weight to get into the dress on your big day. Plus, you would be healthier and feel better with your self.

5k is a very decent budget . She just need to go to a different bridal shop that carter more toward plus size women .

If I can recall, she lost a lot of weight when she came back for her fitting.

She needs to go to Curvey Brides in the UK..these designs are awful and don't flatter her at all, specifically on her back! None of these designs are flattering at all!

I liked the one with straps. I am so over the strapless look. Everyone has strapless dresses. She looked great in both but I do like the one with straps more.

You should have took her to those two women that deal strictly with plus-size klinefelter's very good but I don't think that they're very highly when it comes to bigger women

Klienfeld's show is all about drama, if it isn't the entourage it's the dress size. I could swear they made up this drama script. Gok show and Jo & Al show are better, more credible and relatable.

I didn't like the first two, it made her back look terrible. The top of the 3 Rd strapless where she didn't like the skirt, kerchief style looked best from behind.

I don't understand the store have in house designers why they don't have a plus size collection 😕 shame on them.
