Isn’t it amazing… when police and EMS arrive.. can’t remember her name, her family, where she lives, where she came from, what happened. Yet, remembers Jason’s name, how to spell it, and where he lives. Was all a game to get him back.
If she could have suppressed her need for attention for a few days and not thrown Jason’s name out as soon as humanly possible, they likely wouldn’t have even known to look for Alex for a few days. Her need for attention is why they were able to find Alex with the crime scene still intact.
Looks like the defense had a talk with their client: perhaps sound a little more self-assured in her answers instead of a withering weed the previous hearing. That's very Amber Heard. It makes her look fake. Even if it doesn't, the damage has already been done 😂
@@Claudia-lq3nsBut she couldn’t do it right. What she showed was her rage. Her violent rage behind her eyes. Like most sociopaths they have no awareness of how others perceive them and they only mimic. If her lawyers told her to be more self assured, she interpreted that as their advising her to be herself. Filled with fury at the audacity of this man ripping off her masks 🎭
Her mannerisms are just continuous snootiness/snottiness. There is no break. She subtly rolls her eyes and scoffs with her body language after every single question asked of her by the State.
The Dunning Kruger Effect. Smart people never assume they’re smart and dumb people often do. Ezra isn’t dumb but she wasted what intelligence she had on manipulating everyone around her 24/7. Jason though - yowza - dude is as dense as they come and unaware of it.
She essentially mirrored back his own philosophy. Which takes some degree of intelligence. She knew he’d take it hook, line, and sinker at the expense of his own demise.
Poor Alex - while Ezra was putting on a very bad performance he was alone, bleeding to death. She took his phone - that's cold! I'm glad she wont have the oportunity to hurt anyone else. Xx
I was so horrified when I learned he bled to death slowly, its amazing he survived being stabbed and slashed in so many vital places, and so cruel. When she said she stabbed him in the head first Id hoped that meant he went quickly and many of the other wounds were overkill. I can't imagine how confused, hurt, and afraid he must have been, being attacked by the psycho he was in love with seemingly out of nowhere, and left to die slowly in the frigid woods.
Very interesting (and disturbing) that she goes emotionally overboard when the police show up. I can't believe it was the defense that played the dash cam.
I think the defense team is as delusional as she is. They honestly thought that her theatrics would sell the story that she was attacked and had to fight for her life. That's this cam is the proof of that. They fail to see that we can hear her and know that is fake. Knowing the verdict outcome, so did the jury! Defense threw everything, including the kitchen sink, in hopes something would stick! Lol
She doesnt know these basic words like, whilst, albeit, altruistic, etc but pretending to be this deep thinker reading philosophical literature 🙄 so embarrassing
Not only reading his private journals into public record, but, also twisting his words to form their own narrative in an attempt to justify his murder.
This is disgusting and obscene. Ridiculous. This attorney is a disgrace. What is this? I understand that defending a client is the purpose, but his murderer is allowed to read and interpret his words? Disgraceful.
@@9babyblu I guess I could imagine relevant portions being read by a licensed psychiatrist, but not the suspect with her own interpretation. That’s crazy. I have to imagine different states and jurisdictions have different regulations about this kind of thing.
Can’t stand how their entire defense is to read his personal journals and tell everyone what he meant by his writings and then Ezra tells everyone what he said behind closed doors
And her birthday! Even I don’t believe her hysteria! And with being able to remember all of that, hard to believe she can’t remember that she just brutally killed somebody
I seriously believe when he supposedly cut his wrist she did it & acted so sorry & convinced him to not tell jason or police that day she did it& bribed him they can try & talk to work on things,so he forgave her for cutting his wrist.she was very manipulative and loved the attention from these men, especially Jason, keeping him reeled in,hurting him by breaking up & then reeling him back in saying she still loves him..she loved them chasing her, wanting her.she used these men, played them against each other.
This has nothing to do with your comment or this video, but I just got to let you know that I love your profile pic lol. What a good looking dog! He reminds me of a German Shepherd mix that I used to have when I was a kid
Wow little miss gentle is getting mighty hostile on the stand. Those daggers 🗡️ thrown at prosecutor during her redirect & recross really showed the jury the truth behind her theater. The hatred & Violence behind those eyes is palpable. Poor Alex. The last thing he saw. The defendants unmitigated rage.
Put together - by her defense team. The girl probably never touched a pink piece of clothing until she murdered someone and needed to look girly, 'weak' and innocent.
Pretend all she wants, while reading Alex's journals, she mispronounces multiple words and seems to struggle to explain her actions with any sort of clarity.
That is so embarrassing for the defence to object to the state putting the instagram message into context. Oh no, we wouldn't want the jury to know the truth. The defence make themselves look so bad.
That’s such bad form for the public defender to start objecting before the prosecutor even asks a question. That PD is annoying. 😤 “When you were in the house with Alex for 45 mins did you punch him in the face?” “No.” No she didn’t punch him in the face, but she did brutally stab him to death, in the back, the head and in his genitalia!! Unbelievable! That this stupid lawyer had the gaul to ask such an asinine question.
Yeah, defense counsel is really going all in on this 'blame the victim' for his writings tactic. Given how clearly less intelligent the defendant is than Alex who wrote those words, does counsel think anyone would want to hear her simpering non explications? Also the effing fake crying trying to wind herself up into a trance and pretending not to know her name in the cruiser video.... I guess she's stalling for time, but it's just awful. I can only imagine being on the jury... Not testifying might not have swung anyone, but ffs testifying was a huge mistake
@@comemorningfilmsnarcissists tend to have a hard time passing up the chance to talk about themselves. And judging on what everyone who knows her has stated or alluded to, she loves attention. She couldn't pass up this chance to be in the spotlight.
I think she missed her calling g as an actress. Love how she looks to her lawyer when she doesn't want to answer a question waiting for her to object. This poor man's family sat through her lies and bs!
During the recording from sipples house, all I can think about while she’s getting all this help and assistance for her superficial wounds… he’s out there in the cold and he’s 🩸ing out possibly with enough time to think and figure this is the end for him. When these people could’ve easily been sent his way for the help he desperately needed. I can’t imagine being his family watching this video and knowing that while she doing whatever you can even call this act. I’m so sorry for his family. No matter what he did or didn’t do, she didn’t have to let him 🩸out like that at the very least. Jeez. So crazy
Exactly. Why didn't cops due more field investigation? Follow her footprints to the car. Cops dropped the ball on saving his life by allowing her to snow them. I mean she had no injuries. Pathetic crying
@@multimadness6835 Disagree totally. Cops actually did an amazing job finding him when they did. Nobody could have ever figured this one out faster. They didn't even know where she came from or even know abut Alex initially. Cops don't have your benefit of hindsight.
@multimadness6835 I agree about its sad he was dying and she's getting all this help for nothing. But by this point he was dead. His jugular was hit. He could live shortly but I think she waited til he was dead to even leave. And if she didn't he was probably dead by the time she got to the house
Even worse, the mud road where Alex was found is directly in the middle of the first dashcam. While we hear her wailing act over a few scratches, we may be seeing where Alex might have still been alive, been slowly dying at that exact moment across the field. Absolutely chilling study in extremes. I'm glad she was so stupid and can't hurt anyone else.
That is youth. Alex's Journal entries show a learning curve. You can go through relationships where you may fall hard, however, the other person doesnt feel the same? Likewise, someone falls hard for you, and those feelings just aren't reciprocated? You cannot force love. Nor should you settle for less. Love doesnt hurt or make you sad and is not supposed to make a person obsessive. There are no Trust issues or Anxieties when the Love is real. Two people who truly love each other just know. And don't question it or have that "GUT" feeling letting them know something is amiss? Grow up first and live alone for awhile learning the responsibilities of being an adult and paying bills. Be alone long enough to like who you are, love yourself enough to not give a shite what others think or be embarrassed to wear a bathing suit in public no matter what your body looks like! That's when you know you're Okay! Know what you want in life and theres no time limit or hurry in accomplishing your goals? Never try to change someone or expect someone to change for you? Your Good Name is more Precious than Gold! Never loose your Curiosity to learn? Never give up your faith in Mankinds goodness and the capacity to love? Never take yourself too seriously and keep your sense of humor. Pick your battles wisely. Not everything has to be a War? Don't gather alot of STUFF? Ignore stupid things others say about you? Always leave individuals with their dignity and self respect intact. Be kind and forgiving to others forgetting trandgressions. Not necessarily. I'm in a very healthy and communicative relationship that will undoubtedly last at least several years. But I do have anxieties from time to time. Everyone does. It's just about whether you can address them maturely.
Alex seemed like a decent bloke, but my god those journal entries are among the most pretentious obnoxious material I've heard. Most of it was entirely irrelevant to the murder too so I have never been so grateful for the ability to skip and fast forward. Also why would the defense want that dash cam footage played 🤣That is some of the most horrendous fake ugly cry I've ever heard.
I don't agree about the journals only bc he's applying actual philosophy to his life so what do you expect 🤷🏻 (I write this as a person who tried all I could to get out of applied philosophical writing in college), but I'm 100% with you on the dash cam. It's shockingly transparent. I've never been so *annoyed* by a murderer before
Yeah I don't want to speak ill of the dead, but honestly every single person in this situation (the psycho and all of her men) sounded unbearably pretentious and cringe from the various texts and writings read during the trial.
I wonder if she refused pain medication/valium/etc because she was afraid she'd be to relaxed and wouldn't be able to keep up her charade of not knowing what happened. She's truly disgusting yet she planned this all so poorly. She couldn't possibly have believed she could fool law enforcement or medical staff. I don't think she did this "out of the blue" either, so that must mean she's just a moron.
Yeah I was thinking she wanted to keep her “whits” about her and that she didn’t want the medicine to be the reason she was so emotional for lack of better terminology. She didn’t know how to incorporate the appropriate response with those in mind as well. If she even thought that in depth about it. Idk but I agree and was thinking similarly in regard to the medications. Even if she didn’t hurt from the actual attack, probably wasn’t feeling too good of shape after running in the cold with no shoe to that lovely old gentleman’s house.
@@TheMary0831 idk man I know a lot of substance users who can keep their stories straight on way more than just a little bit of pain meds. Not sure what the protocol is in wisco but when I was an emt the paramedics could give a small dose of morphine but nothing extreme
The paramedics literally say I DONT SEE ANY CUTS OR ANY THING.. NO BLEEDING.. so she is full of shit saying he punctured her by her crotch and had all these cuts
Genius game plan.. when the cops show up just overwhelm, discourage, and drawn them out with whimpering fake sob while only ever muttering “oh I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know”… that’s really convincing trashass
The dashcam footage was especially chilling when I realized the cam was pointed directly across the field at the mud road exactly where the car and Alex' body were found. Little miss actress keening and wailing about her superficial scratches in the audio at the same moment Alex was possibly still clinging to life and treatable in the video. The evidence was irrefutable, her performance was transparent, and I'm grateful she was caught this time. Like Jason foreshadowed, this may have saved the next person.
I'm not advocating for Ezra, but dang. Bruce Rivers, the Criminal Lawyer, who has a YT Channel was right. Lawyer up. Don't say anything. Stop self snitching. She should have done that in beginning when she was getting interrogated. She probably would have gotten a decent plea deal instead of being sentence to 50 years before getting parole. Her lawyer didn't do her any favors either. I don't know who's idea it was for her testify, but this was a disaster. Alex Murdaugh though he could talk his way out of prison too. Anyway, she's where she deserves to be.
Is the lawyer getting more paid if they win a case? Or it doesn't matter? Maybe they didn't care if they win or loose an wanted her to testify to get more publicity. To get to be known and ve famous.
No tears at all while you’re listening to a recording aka reliving the moment you were finally safe after being “brutally attacked” and having to take a life in self defense? 🙄🙄🙄
these people are a reflection of society, we wouldn't know anything about them if this murder had not occurred, meaning there are many people like them everywhere, perhaps you unwittingly know people like this

It sickens me how she thinks she knows exactly what Alex was talking about in his journals. I never even met him and i translate the writings totally differently. Does anyone know where you can read all his journal/essay entries? Her fake crying in that dash cam is annoying. She keeps saying she is scared because she knows she killed him. I think, if they didnt find Alex as soon as they did, she would have made up a story about someone attacking them both. The one armed man!
This psycho. The most ignorant of people always seem to be the most assured of themselves. The ego in this one is strong. My heart hurts for his family, to have sit there and listen to his killer, interpret his most inner thoughts, as if she’s creditable at all to do so. And no, she didn’t go punch him in the face, lady, she did in fact stab him over and over again.
Wow- this woman must have put on a good act. She found a group of intellectuals who invited her in and she ( probably being unpopular in school) thought she found the jackpot of superior minds in a social group, and they actually fell for her master manipulations. It had to have been her art they appreciated, it could not have been her intelligence, though I can see her arrogantly thinking she’s smart or at least thinks she’s really good at faking it, obviously , when she can’t even recognize the words albeit and altruistic.
They're a pretty vulnerable, sensitive bunch, desperate for approval themselves. All she ever had to do was flatter and listen, enthusiastically nod her head and squeal over their artsy efforts. Easy as can be. She had no job, no school, no place else to be, and plenty of time and attention to feed them. And they ate it up.
Have you seen her art? It's rubbish. They're unfortunately foolish to fall for her, but I can't say a thing having fallen for manipulative idiots myself. Fortunately, not murderous ones, although I wouldn't doubt an ex of mine has murdered someone by now haha.
Oh god, how do you remember your ex boyfriend’s name to a spelling and nothing else? Such a ploy for Jason to come running to her tragedy. And make it all okay. Just like he did with John Hanson.
Did Ezra believe tears, hyperventilating and a rape accusation would magically cancel out the slaying of Alex? She tried in vain to play the damsel in distress to justify a murder, you took a life now yours is in forfeit to a penitentiary. I don’t even see what there was to gain for her in doing this? A bit less teasing at work, I don’t get it.
I really don't know what the defense is doing other than blurring lines that really only indirectly apply to the murder. Her "trauma" is immaterial. She's a borderline personality with aspects of sociopathy perhaps, which may have some bearing as to why she did the crime. 'But it's obvious she did the murder, and I don't really care too much about her motivation.
Ezra acts so intellectually superior to everyone else. Yet, she can’t even pronounce words like “albeit” and various other words she doesn’t know. She used Alex’s journals when he was alive to better manipulate him. She loves having that mentally ill Alex being madly in love with her. She knew this and exploited it. Even breaking up with him, telling him “I don’t ever want to see you again. Leave me alone.” Then she would show up at h Work to string him along
@@Sharon_L_Wdefinitely narcissistic and psychotic traits in there but histrionic as well... borderline essentially means someone who borders different personality disorders and she fits the criteria well from what I've seen
@@lanahaxer borderline personality is it’s own well defined disorder.. so it means more than being literally on the border of different disorders. (my mum has it)
@@Sharon_L_W no I know that it is its own disorder. I was just referencing that the name was given initially because of that. But from what I've seen, its hard to pin point exactly which personality disorder she has because she has traits of multiple which is common in all of them but very very common with BPD
How can anybody think she would have gotten away with this ? she was her own worst witness...I couldnt stand her during her testimony.... it was terrible
Most of these killers have personality disorders, and a key component of all personality disorders is narcissism and the inability to understand how normal people think or feel. She thought her horrendous sad little girl act would be enough, and isn't self aware enough to realize she's smiling and getting pissy in all of the wrong moments. Also, you'd be shocked how many people actually think that if they can just convince the police/courts that they were scared or in a really bad place when they kill someone that they'll just be told to not do it again and let go.
@@SaVanityVan Well said. I would not be shocked as I watch a lot of true crime and interrogations - my God - you are spot on. Especially young folks nowadays, as they are taught that their feelings trump everything else. Even the DUI police cam footage shows this. Plow into 4 cars because they're drunk, then they scream at the cops when arrested "I didn't do anything wrong!" - the delusion is incredible. What works on family and friends does not work in a courtroom. These psychos find that out too late.
I love that this trial has turned into a Latin appreciation class. The phrase 'dilige et quod vis fac' actually means 'love God and do what you will'. I wonder if ANY of it was really about Ezra?
She said that he always signed off his messages with that but then when the prosecution showed her all the text and asked of it was stated anywhere in them it wasn’t. She is full of bs and I hate that she tried to turn Alex’s writing into something there weren’t
The fact that she said it was French during cross killed me… and then her attorney pronounces it in a French accent lmao. Prosecutor tried to correct the record when he talked about it by saying “my Latin isn’t very good, but…”
I can't believe people think her reaction in this makes the situation believable...it's the opposite. She's as bad an actress as Amber Heard. They should be friends
Well he wasn't planning on having his effing diaries read to the world anymore than he did to be stabbed by this walking, fronting personality disorder.
I doubt very much Alex wrote those journals with the intention that they would be published and read out on a series of RU-vid videos. They were *private musings* after all.
Oh gag me w a spoon, this would be genius, stumbled over “albeit!, & altruistic”? 🙄..What a total waste of valuable court time, allowing her (Ezra) to ramble on feigning intelligence!…
I’ve watched and listened to many recordings in this case and these LEOs and Emergency Responders have all been caring and supportive and I appreciate their hard work. I don’t know when they suspected Ezra lies but I haven’t found any signs until they told her they found the car.
That police dashcam where you can hear her... that's such a fake ass cry! I can't believe I hear concern for her in their voice like they believe her... fml I bet they felt furious after the full picture came to open!
During the dash cam video footage she no doubt is crying like that because she just finished butchering Alex! The realization is probably hitting her of what she just did.
I can not understand Ezra's ramblings in her writings. Ezra reminds me so much of Jodie Arias. Her interviews are interesting to watch. It was a premeditated first degree murder case.
Wow the defense is doing some HEAVY leading on that redirect!!! I guess they have to go above and beyond to compensate for their client’s stupidity. Her effort to cosplay as an intellectual is just pathetically transparent and unconvincing. Her reading comprehension and literary interpretation could be bested by a 9th grader, I can’t believe her lawyers are leaning so hard on her claims about his writing, especially when she can literally barely read it aloud.
Hmm..how is it that she states that she is very familiar with this one referring to "Giving Space", but then 30 seconds later asks her attorney "The name of the passage, "What was that again"?" AND THEN SHE GOES ON TO EXPLAIN THE TITLE THAT SHE COULDN'T REMEMBER TWO SECONDS AGO!!! smh
The defendant couldn't have written some of what she read out in court due to the fact she didn't know how to pronounce some of the words eg "albeit" and "altruistic." Neither did she understand the difference between the past tense and past participle of the word "give". When she should have written or say "given" as the past participle, she wrote "gave". She probably killed Alex because Alex treated her more like one of his undergraduates than say his girlfriend. She probably hated him correcting her written and spoken English........???
Does anyone know if the hair found in the car was ever checked to see if it was cut rather then pulled out. I wouldn’t put it past her if she used the knife to bits of hair

@@saltcitysunshine Yep. And seriously? There are plenty of cases of children stabbing adults to death. It's not like it's never been done, a small person stabbing a larger person. Notice the defense doesn't seem to note Alex's size. I am guessing he was not a big man.
@@TheMary0831 Agreed. I would submit Nancy seaman and Melanie McGuire as examples of tiny ladies who did a heck of a lot more than just stabbing. Both of their defenses included “but I’m so little”. i’ve never heard such a fake cry in all my life.. for god sake.. 🙄 why did the defense even bother trying to use that dashcam footage at all? OMG look at her face when they’re playing it!!! playing the victim! shame!!! and never said a word to the officers or EMT’s about Alex laying dead in a field.
I think when she left the car Alex was still alive and she knew it. So she did the fake memory loss to give him time to bleed to death. She carefully took his phone. She said he was on the coat when she left but he was found halfway into the car. I think he was trying to reach his phone to call for help. If she had managed to kill him dead there would have been no need for the memory loss and she would have gone straight to the sexual assault story. That was her original plan and it went a little wrong when he would not die to order.
Like... I know I'm a gut but the fake crying sounds like she's doing horse impressions around the 35 minute mark. Obviously that accident *really* traumatised her 😅 Edit: I also think I've fallen in love with the prosocuter's snark.. 😙👌
Yes especially the look at the jury when answering questions and her vanitý. She seems to have narcissitic personallity disorder. She seemed to love the attention.
I don’t know about Alex.. I haven’t watched much of this trial other than her testimony. Her version of Alex is probably lies. All I can say is you’re right about your comment and she is one biga** weirdo!!
It wasn’t literal, so I feel he used the word for dramatic effect and to sound more intelligent and abstract. Wankery really. Good word to use metaphorically once but repeated over and over, it gets old and loses impact. Ezra grinning as she reminisces about how joyfully intrigued she was when they met and discussed ‘cannibalism’ is what makes it disturbing.. and she tells us this oblivious to how nuts she sounds 😂
Anyone can interpret anything written to be about them if it fits the narrative when the other party isn’t there to dispute it! I don’t believe any of this was about her, she just chose the passages she needed to try and get her out of the situation she found herself in
