It can be difficult to heal your attachment wounds. These attachment wounds often start very young. To heal your attachment wounds can be tricky, deep, and subtle. One potential cause of attachment wounds is to grieve your childhood pets. The two most common attachment styles are anxious attachment and avoidant attachment.

I have watched many of your videos over many difficult years. Thank you for your help. I am still struggling to feel my emotions. I cried when my cat died, but was unable to cry when my Dad died. I miss them both very much.

This was impeccable timing for me. My one cat Jake, who is 11 years old, is going through health problems right now and we’re not sure if he’s going to be okay or not. The situation has been reminding me of my childhood cat TT who passed away a few years ago. She was my very first love. The situation that’s been happening with Jake is reminding me of TT. I’ve been thinking about her lately, about how much I truly loved her. Thank you for posting this. Much love.

Dear Noah, can you make a video about letting go of regret (about not protecting yourself from people in the past and for giving a chance to people who weren't good for you). Also about letting go of anger, how to stop being upset because of the memories and the regret that you also gave your time and so many things to people who didn't deserve it

I was adopted, and the Family that adopted me was terrible at showing love and affection. I begged for a Dog, and was never allowed a Dog or Cat. They let me have the occasional Goldfish, one time I got a Lizard. Obviously those pets don’t compare to a Dog. This video made me very sad. Of course as an Adult, I have had Dogs. They are wonderful! I was such a high anxiety and lonely child. My adopted Parents worked a lot and their biological Son (much older than me) would abuse me when they weren’t around (which was often). Dogs give so much! Go hug your Dog, kiss and spoil your Dog(s).

Noah was wondering if you'd make a video on how we can judge ourselves for feeling grief. You've made a lot of lovely videos on letting go of grief, but I've noticed in myself only today that I have basically been shaming myself for expressing any sort of grief, unconsciously writing it off as "self pity", "feeling sorry for myself" etc, and it's made it difficult to really tap into the grief and feel it in order to process it. As a child I'd cry in front of others, and I'd get reactions of mocking laughter, or judgement, people saying "dude, are you really crying?" I know you made a video on it being okay to feel emotions as a man, but I thought maybe you would be interested in covering this topic. Take care Noah.

Do you think it could be applied to more abstract things as well, like places or homes? Iv been constantly moving in my childhood and later i felt like it made me very lonely as i never really had time to grow my roots and connect with ppl.

Absolutely. For example, in my healing journey, I had to grieve every friend I ever lost. Whether that was because they moved away, went to a different school, or just stopped wanting to hang out with me. This can happen with houses, towns, and anything else.

Hey Noah, I have a follow up question on your video about how to stop obsessing over someone, I notice my inner child craves connection but I’m not sure how to give it. Just hearing that they want connection is very vague as their are many forms of connection ,so what I do is I ask them about their day, how they feel, and stuff and it does work but I feel something missing.
@NoahElkrief
@NoahElkrief 2 года назад
My guess is what they really want is touch and to be seen deeper than their actions/emotions/behavior.

Hey Noah I have a question Can you offer some unique perspective on my unique situation ? On my video I talk about how I am a caregiver (28F) for my parents (father 82 with Parkinsons & Dementia and mother 68 with MS). I started to care for my parents before I was even 18 years old. There are lots of feelings that arise from these circumstances of having elderly parents that I discuss. Would appreciate you taking a look and seeing how you approach this mentally and emotionally. 🙏🇧🇷

Was Cleo a black cat? I'm just curious because I was given a little black cat stuffed animal last year and when I asked what her name should be she told me Cleo. So that is really intriguing to me.

I doesn't seem to fit the scope of your channel, but I'd love to know what you believe is the context for this human experience. Would you ever consider making a video on your metaphysical understanding of why we are here, why the suffering, what's the goal? :)
@NoahElkrief

While I may have experiences or openings of deeper truths, if I share them with people who don't have the direct experience of it, then they can only choose to believe me or not. I don't really like either of those options. I prefer to help people make discoveries for themselves. At this moment, I don't have enough access to be able to help others to make these types of discoveries. When I do have that capability, I will try to guide people to see these types of answers. :)
