Your friend was grateful for you stepping in to help her have a voice. I am grateful that you shared the story. My "friend" has been dancing in my face with fruit, and she said my diet was dumb because I have to be selective with what I eat for Thanksgiving. So, she made plans to go out of town for thanksgiving instead of being with my family and me for the holiday. She wasn't even going to tell me. I found out through a casual conversation we were having. It hurt my feelings and had me feeling like I had made a mistake. Honestly, I didn't know how to navigate the situation. Another friend of mine said if she really was a friend and respected my journey, she wouldn't feel that behavior was ok. It was the hardest pill to swallow. After seeing that video and talking to my friend, I realized how important it is to distance myself from that behavior. It can undo everything I worked for on this journey to weight loss. I am so grateful that you posted it. You helped me navigate through a tough situation. Every experience that you share can be a valuable tool for someone else, even with the backlash. People will always be quick to judge without watching to understand they watch to respond. It's easier to read hate instead of love. It's wrong, but it's true. Whatever God puts on your heart to do, do it with peace in your heart. I'm sending you lots of love and care. You are a huge inspiration to me. My bypass surgery is at the beginning of next year. I made it this far because of you.

I found your channel when I was considering wls. I wasn't sure I deserved it. I didn't think that I could possibly be worthy of such a helpful tool when I couldn't lose weight on my own. YOU MADE ME SEE DIFFERENT!! My surgery is December 8th and I've binged your content multiple times and showed it to multiple people. I didn't see your deleted video (been depressed and not cruising social media as much), but please don't allow people to chase you away. From what I understand, you did EXACTLY what you should have done. I wouldn't have done anything else. This world needs more people who care because they care. Period. Thank you for being you.

Kelsi you have been such a huge inspiration and source of information to me even before I had my own surgery. Please don’t allow a few trolls to ruin the intention you started this channel with. People will say horrible things even if you were doing the most wonderful things in this world. I know that you are hurt because you know the intention with which you put up that video. You also know the background of the story and you don’t need to explain any further as you have said if you don’t agree with something said you can disagree respectfully without having to break down another person. It speaks to their character as a person and you don’t need subscribers like that on your channel anyway. Take the break you need to process this but don’t let peoples opinions of you that don’t even know you matter. You are a wonderful person and I love your content and the sharing of your journey. You did the right thing. Dont let anyone dim your light. People need to learn how to speak to each other. Hiding behind a keyboard and saying nasty hurtful things is insnaely wrong.

I think that people need to realize that they are only experts on their own lives...just because they go to the internet with their opinion doesn't make them an expert it just means they have an opinion. No one had the right to hurt someone else over an opinion. Those of us who have had WLS know exactly how hard it is and how important it is to be honest with ourselves. Keep going, keep sharing...some of us need to know we aren't alone.

Kelsi, I had gastric bypass surgery in June and your videos really helped me navigate through the journey. You are a beautiful & kind person, don't give up your passion because of some unhappy souls hiding behind their computers.

What is weight loss or money without peace of mind. Always Do whatever you need to do to preserve your peace. I started my journey with you (kinda) our surgeries were a month apart. I look forward to your content, but take care of you first. There are many people with mental health issues that have access to dangerous tools like the internet. You can’t rationalize with irrational people, You’ll just end up mentally where they are. I hope you are able to see your valued on RU-vid more than your hated.

I don’t understand people! While we disagreed a bit, we had a civil discussion. You were honest and respectful and I just love you! And everything you have said, I found to be true. Kelsi, I'm sorry. I hope your time doesn't come to an end. You have helped me so much. People can really be mean. You had your wls about 6 weeks before me at close to the same weight I was. When you stalled, I'd stall a few weeks later. I was moved that you'd share about being stuck and going to your doctor. I know this to me doesn't feel like a stall. It's been to long. So for someone else to be asking the same questions as me. Thank you. I'm sorry I missed the video you are discussing. You do you. I support you whatever you do. Hatred is never needed. Thank you for just being you. You have been supportive to this woman who rarely talks online and has no friends who have had wls.

I do not know what’s going on nor did I see the video but all I have to say is if anybody is rude or negative that is a THEM PROBLEM. Not a YOU PROBLEM. My biggest flaw is not being confident enough and caring too much about what other people think. Know that you are helping so many people make the decision to do surgery or not. You’re making it known that everybody’s journey is different and this is NOT A FIX ALL. Girl keep posting. Screw ‘em all.

Oh Kelsi! I am so sorry people in this world feel like what they have to say always needs to be heard. I hate that you feel so sad. I can completely understand your reasoning for wanting to stop sharing. All I can say is that , I appreciate you for who you are. And I thank you more than words can say for sharing your VSG story. You are one of the content creators in this universe whom helped me make the decision to get my surgery. I am sorry that you have had issues with your journey but it’s an amazing journey you have. People all have issues. Some more mental than others. Yes , sometimes it’s best not to listen to nasty/hurtful words but we are human and we have feelings. From my little side of the internet, I’d say, if this isn’t going to make you feel happy anymore than the best thing to do is to walk away. Know that you have helped so many people with the information and experience you have shared than any medical professional I’ve known. Stay strong dear Kelsi!! You have an amazing soul! I totally understand how hurtful words can be. But to some degree when you put yourself out here to share information you have to understand that everyone is not going to feel the way you do, and some people don't have the common sense to just stop watching the video or move on. How does the saying goes hurt people hurt people. I know its easier said than done but delete and block all the bullshit that isn't worth reading. You are a amazing person and I really look forward to watching your videos. We had surgery around the same time we both got cats around the same time GIRL we are FRIENDS !!! Dust yourself off and come back. Also I spoke with my Doctor about the Adipex pills and she stated that it is not uncommon for WLS patients to need another boost to help them when they are a year or more out. Girl again do you and and if you need a break take it but don't let people that holds no weight in your life make decisions for you. Wishing you the best......

Kelsi keep your head up! You know what your intentions were, all you were trying to do was show support and sometimes when we love and care about our friends/families/co-workers etc..they may not want to receive it. Sometimes we have to let go and allow people to have their own journey, all we can do is provide support if they want it. At the end of the day Vanessa has to make that choice for herself, you are being a true friend. Don't allow the bullies make you feel like you were wrong in that situation. One thing I’ve learned from having a YT channel is people are weird. The things they say on here they would never say in real life to your face. It’s easy to bully online. These people will legit have you second guessing yourself. Stand on your morals and behind what you did because it was the right thing! Periodt. Don’t let these crazies get in the way of your coin.

I don’t know what happened, I’m lost. But I have started taking Contrave so I’m def not against diet pills. I love when people share their honest journey. I learn a lot. Hopefully, you keep going. I just started my channel and if people aren’t complimenting me imma delete the comment. 😊

You are loved my Dear, hurt people, hurt people. It doesn't make it right Love. You have the biggest heart and been an inspiration to me and many others. I had start my journey in January 2021 and had my VSG August 2021. I haven't followed all your videos, but I do duck in ever now and then. You truly ought to go into your prayer closet and do what is best for you, asking for your steps to be ordered and clarity. You're a brave soul to have created such a platform and expose the vulnerability of who you are to all of us, not many like I are strong enough to do so.
