That's the thing i like about Louis. He doesn't patronize you. He sees you as a human being with a brain that thinks. If you don't get him, it's not his fault, it's yours.

I don’t get why Joe is acting like Louie got cancelled for being too edgy. He had a lefty act when he was famous and then he got in trouble for jacking off in front of people. No one ever said he wasn’t funny or that his jokes went too far.

I consider myself leftist, so tired of even hearing the word woke, from either side. I saw him live in his latest tour, it was a bit harder to get a crowd to join from work this time, the women were still very much stand offish for the you know reason. Still one of the best comedians around today, even more so now that Norm is gone.

Racism, sexism, homophobia -we needed to correct a bit- and some woke folks are over correcting, absolutely. But thats the nature of cultures pendulum. Just saying, because my skin crawls when ppl just categorically denounce “wokeness”, like that’s the real problem we’re facing today. It’s always fine to cap on the idiots, but blanket shitting on “wokeness” puts you on the other side of the pendulum. Maybe we are, kinda sorta, heading to a place where humor might lose a little oomph, in some ways. kinda like how getting over our hang ups about sex, kinda makes sex somewhat less exciting.. At 1:37 I nooticed Louis had to clarify _"The faggot thing"_ with the context of the joke, _"Today's straight men are faggots..."_ because out of context it sounds bad. Comics may be considered 'brave', but they are actually very cautious about providing a context that is socially acceptable. It's like walking a tightrope while threading a needle.

for me, Comedy is always about poking fun at the absurdity of life. The late George Carlin was the master, who didn't really tell "jokes", he did it through dialogue. Some do it via one liner's, normally at the expense of a particular group, which upsets those who believe we are all equal. Truth is, we aren't.

Name a better comedic genius. Louie writes , directs, edits his own work. He literally books the venues himself, buys the camera equipment and does it all within his system. Horace and Pete was a masterpiece. He is super direct with his audience through his website and makes it easy to acquire his work. He’s constantly been the best offensive comedian for the past 10 years. He doesn’t care about the political agendas and does it all by his liking. The show Louie was perfect. The greatest comedian to ever live. Norm and Patrice are on the same level, except they weren’t as talented and versatile as Louie.

I'm happy woke culture was a thing it did get us to become a little more sensitive to the others, but I'm also happy that it's fading away now that we can go back to laughing at each other.

I agree with Louie that the best defense against the Cancel Clowns is to keep doing exactly what you're doing, but I think it's also vitally important to ridicule them into submission, publicly if possible. They need to be repeatedly taught that their opinion is not the only one that matters, and that they are only allowed to control what they consume - not what others consume.
