These videos are literally a lifesaver for us with major anxiety. I avoid certain machines and exercise’s because I don’t want to be fumbling with how to use the machine. 🥺
I asked someone to help me and they were no help I was soooo embarrassed so I left 😭😭 I saw so many strings and equipment. I couldn’t figure it out. This was so helpful thank you!
I know this comment is old but wtf, did this person refuse to help? In my experience, most people in the gym are pretty chill when you approach them. Hope you figured out how to use the cable machine!
Your videos are really so helpful, I sometimes watch them right in the gym to make sure that I'm doing everything correctly; so thank you for that "pro"-feeling when I just casually hit the machine and adjust it like I've been doing that for years 😅❤️
oh man thank you SO much for this, I had no idea you could adjust the height! Makes so much sense now! Also that blue set is absolutely gorgeous you look fab xx
now i will finally be able to train legs with the cable machine as well, hah I was convinced there is no 'cable machine for legs' at my gym, but they are all leg machines if I want them to :'D
Im literally in awe of how much help there is on youtube i even had anxiety about having an induction i rather look up these videos first so i know a lil something. I feel way more confident now. Thank you hun ❤❤❤
I’ve only used the cable machine once in my gym life because I was feeling a bit ballsy that day. I only did a tricep pull down because I didn’t know I could adjust the height x) Now I know lol.
Thank you so much for this. I was freaking out yesterday because I have really bad social anxiety and I didn’t want to ask anyone where I could find or how to use this machine so I just looked like a weirdo looking around confused the whole time lol. Really appreciate this!
Girllllll. I've been able to use you and other fitness influencers as coaches! You've taught me how to use equipment and I've been able to make my own beginner workout plan!!
You are the best , seriously we don’t wana see the fancy different kind of videos , all we need to learn is the basics . Naomi you have saved me so much from gym anxiety . Being a Sagittarius I hate looking like a beginner at the gym lol .. I lost touch with gym and rejoined 4 years after and almost lost my confidence and forgot to use equipment. My gym is very nice and also ppl coming in are mostly self dependent so there are very less or no trainers on the floor to guide as mostly ppl coming in are independent and do their own thing . Best part is my gym has life fitness equipments too and you are the only person I give credit to (apart from myself ) to hit the gym daily . Lots of love to you … you are the best fitness influencer
Thank you so much, I tried the cable machine about a week ago but I wasn’t feeling sure if I was adjusting it right. Thank you for clearing up my doubts. Great video & easy to understand. Love your outfit btw 💕
This video has helped me so much . Lastnight was my first time finally doing cable machine workouts all thanks to this video and your tips. I had WAYYY more confidence and wasn’t as shy as before. Thank you SO MUCH for this🙏🏽❤️
thanks for the video this helps a ton! omg reading the comments, I can't believe soooo many people are intimidated by gym machines like me! I even feel intimidated when someone is using the machine I wanna use and that I have to wait for it..... I dunno what to do with myself while I wait for them to finish. and you know how people say that you don't needa feel shy coz nobody cares or looks at what you're doing? wrong! Everytime in between sets while I take my rest, I see EVERYONE is looking at what everyone else is doing.
Thanks man love this video ☺️ no body else bothered to upload a video like this on youtube so shy people like us had a problem with it but this video did helped a lot!
Hi I am a guy and I came across this video to show my wife. But I am hooked on your video. You have such a nice way of explaining things. I felt so at ease with your video. Plus I love the way you just speeded up the videos at the bit where you were literally doing the exercise. I thought the guy behind you was moving just a bit too fast😁 I also watched your tutorial right to the very end because that is how much I liked your video. I'll be liking and subscribing. Bye4now...Squeezyhugz🤗and...Muchos gracias as the say in Azerbaijan 😁😁😁
I’m gonna try this today!!! Can’t wait been watching people workout with the cables and always wanted to try it just don’t really know how!!! Lmao.. yay!
I get so insecure using the attachments. This video made me feel more comfortable but I never know where they leave the different attachments?! Like where do I find the one I need?🤦🏻♀️😭
I love your videos, I am so glad I found your channel! I definitely feel more confident in the gym every time I try a new machine. I'd love to see you explaining hot to perform the upright row, I am mostly concerned about body placement, to me it seems like you could get easily hurt while performing it.
Another great video!! Thank you so much Naomi. I was wondering if you have a complete workout video using exclusively (or mostly) the cable machine. I'd love to give it a try!
not trying to be rude or anything but how much do you weigh and how tall are you? just asking so i get a general idea on how many lbs i should use when exercising
hannah choi 5’3”, ~130lbs, there’s no right or wrong amount of weight to use when you’re lifting! Everyone will use different weights-strength knows no size. 💪🏼 I know girls who are 5’ and 100lbs who can deadlift over 3x their body weight and dudes who are buff af but can’t even deadlift their own body weight. Start at the lightest weight, and once you can do 12-15 reps comfortably with proper form, then increase the weight. Again, there’s no right or wrong weight to use. 🙌🏼
they are available at the gym :) usually there will be a big box where all the attachments are and you can just grab them. sometimes they just lie around the cable machine when people don't put them back in the box lol
Thank you very much :) I seriously needed this since I didnt know how this machine works and I already have a routine with defined exercises where I have to use this one. In some weeks I'll be going to the gym for the first time. Just one last question, do you have to ask to someone to get the attachments or they're put in a rack or something?
Often times, they’re just lying around, sometimes they’re in a bucket/storage container or on an attachment rack-you just kinda gotta go fishing around for them! If there’s an attachment on the floor near someone, just ask them if they’re using it, and if not, it’s all yours! 🙌🏼
I also have a question if you are 4’8” and can’t reach the cable adjuster but can change the attachment should I stand on a dumbbell or a stack of plates because I really can’t reach lol
I just bought a cable machine for my house. Best investment ever. Although mine doesn’t come with the fixed weights. It takes 1” and 2” Olympic weights. Was my first machine I added to my home gym. I added a preacher curl bench as well.
Hi can you do a video on how to set up the cable machine for the exercise that goes across the body. I don't know what it's called but you pull from above the shoulder across the body working the abs. Thanks
Hello. Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial. On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people. While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there. Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there. I've been in the process of change for a while now and I have made some decent changes but don't you just hate it when people can't let go of your past mistakes. I saw your profile and it intrigued me. I wanted to learn more about who you are and what type of path you would like on in life. Can we talk?
I am a beginner. I've just been observing people from distance on how they are using machines while I'm doing on free weights, but that's not helpful. This video is helpful, thanks
