I used to be able to do this when I was younger and now trying I didn't have the strength to lift my upper body up anymore, this definitely helped, thanks!

Thank you for this video ! I have done a perfect wheel from the first try on, it was a very easy pose for me. (Well, i started yoga with 25 and had done many sports before, ballet etc., it helps. And like every child i used to to wheels often in my first decade.) Then, i didn't yoga on a regular basis but even after 3 years or 10 years breaks the wheel remane a very natural and easy pose for me. Now, i think i didn't do yoga for 5 years and wanted to start again, and like allways to start without issues ... but ... the difference is that i am in my 50es now ! I can do most poses BUT the wheel became absolutely impossible. I can't lift my head even only 1 millimeter ! (Sorry for my bad english) NOTHING ! It's like my body is 400 kg ! (I'm slim) So i will give it a try and start with blocks, thank you !

Omg this felt so good! Excellent cues! I haven’t been able to get into a wheel for a long time cause my chest is tight from my hunching over my computer at work. I have NEVER had a wheel this stretched before! Thank you!

Great tips. This is one of the hardest exercises for me. I find cobra and other back extension really easy and nice. But this I struggle with.I will get those yoga blocks:) I think the restriction is my shoulders and arms and wrists. I can straighten my arms with the blocks. Its when I try and put my hands flat on the floor my elbows want to flare out to the sides and its hard to straighten my arms. This can be my challenge. Thanks so much for your tips. x

thank you for your vídeo.. i used to do this posture some years ago as hand stand, pincha .. (im yoga teacher too) but for some reason i lost those postures.. and i m trying your tutorial but i cant take my head out the floor .. i already thought it is something inside my mind.. not sure.. i m trying and if you have some advice to give me it will be a bless and i will be truly glad to you. I can not go pass my head. I feel like if I lift any higher my back is going to break. So how do I improve

Same, bur i think, when you try it 3 times a week, with the effort in the right direction, your muscles will become stronger (even when your head remane on the floor) and then one day (it can be after 4 trys or 20 trys), you will lift your head a few millimetres. And then your body will understand, that it is possible and you will lift every time a little bit higher.
