I started Hamelin at the end of February, and I was also interested in TA. After trying both, I’m still doing my Hamelin rotation and my abs are showing… like excuse? For reference, I’m 38 and I’ve had two kids. I did CrossFit all throughout my 20’s and I NEVER had visible abs. I completely relate to your comment about feeling good, positive energy whilst doing his workouts. I can’t quite put my finger on it. I like his cues and I love his little golf clap at the end of his videos. Xx

I just had a consult with Hamelin and have been doing his classes for the past three days. My body feels so much better than it did while I was doing another method - much less bloating, inflammation and no pain now! I love Hamelin’s workouts and actually look forward to them (whereas I also had to psych myself up to do the other method’s workouts 😫😭😂). Hamelin definitely has good vibes and is a kind, humble, and generous soul. Sooo happy to have found his method! 🙏🏽💗 Can’t wait to get my customized rotation in two weeks! 🥳

I still haven’t done the consult yet, but I’ve dropped 13 pounds with Hamelin so far. Inch Loss is my jam! I’ve been listening to his instructions when he provides them (deep videos especially). He knows his stuff for sure. I would trust his judgment. I have specific requirements for my workouts to address issues, so I’ll likely ask for a highly structured plan when I have my consultation. For bloating, my nutritionist recommended me to load up on the potassium (Greens, citrus foods) for about 7-10 days before my period. I just got through my period with minimal PMS symptoms this time around, so I’m going to try consuming more potassium to counter my sodium intake.

I could never do Tracy Anderson consistently but I have been loving the Hamelin method so thank you for introducing me to him. With regards to bloating, I started menopause early and recently was having bloating issues. The only thing that fixed it for me was eating 2 kiwis and taking 500mg of magnesium daily. That combination works amazingly well. I take the life-extension magnesium. Also, I find jumping on the trampoline is the best way to get your lymphatic system pumping.

I was reading a post in TA’s IG where she explained you have push knee out for contraction benefit then a commenter said there’s an explanation on each exercise on her website? I did the trial and all I did is rollover without knowing which muscles should the exercise target. I did crossfit before and loved the emphasis on the form to avoid injury and see the gain specially on the booty.

Love the advice to save workouts and notes. I have an older smart tv. It's so slow... It just took me 20 minutes to find Thighmatics 2 on YT. I know I won't stay with the program if content is hard to find. So, I'l try your approach. During my consult Hamelin said he hoped to have new content with better lighting and filming released this June/July. Really looking forward to it. I read The Mind Gut Connection by EMeran Mayer when it was released. Great info, but since it's been awhile I'll definitely check out your recs. Thanks, Rachel!

Lol you’re awesome. “I’m always at at 5.5 irritability level” 😂😂😂😂 I’m maybe at a 6 most days so you’re a good inspiration 😊. This was one of your more hilarious commentaries - pictures of varieties of bloat. I’m dealing with something weird with the gut. Maybe it’s because I stopped bouncing 😭I am going to look into getting one. It really was helpful I think. This inspired me to get into the Model workout which I never started really.

Rachel, regarding bloat I just want to say I've been dealing with gut issues for about a year. I've been hearing about a certain product backed by science on a few different podcasts and I went and bought it and I can't even tell you the difference it made. All hormones are made in the gut, so it's dealing with issues it will manifest in hormonal imbalance and it made sense. Its a spore based probiotic that I've been taking. Apparently it has a higher survivability in the gut and its the best for those with SIBO, IBS, etc. which is the the basis for symptoms like bloating. Anyways, just wanted to share what's been working for me. Ive literallly never felt better. Hope it helps!

Re: bloat....I struggle too. There are great RU-vid videos regarding ACV and Activated Charcoal by Dr Berg and others. I put ACV in my water every morning and evening. I've gotten used to the taste, helps with bloat and blood sugar to boot. Same, with Charcoal has been a staple for literally years. Big fan of both.

Things that help me with bloat… Castor oil packs (life saving) 1tsp ACV in 4 oz water roughly 10-30min before meals ( no bloat after meals) Sipping milk thistle & peppermint tea after meals to support liver and bile flow = better digestion Digestive enzymes with meals Working with naturopathic dr on root causes of gut, digestive, hormonal imbalances Thanks for sharing your ham experience. Thank you for your inspiring videos. I love alternating my workouts between TA and HDM, it's my well-being formula. That said, I took your advice for T-Tapp and did a few workouts. I see similarities in the approach with HDM, I will finish IL 22 and in the so-called cardio part, we do the same movements at the same pace. Is this a characteristic of IL 22? In any case, it's very effective.

I'm really interested in giving Hamelin a try as I'm looking to change things up with my workout routine, however, I'm having a lot of trouble even finding out how to get started. I first went to his website and even the "Web Shop" page is confusing because I don't know where to start. Do I need to purchase each course of the Model Workout separately? I see he has a lot of free stuff on RU-vid/Vimeo, but I'd prefer a schedule to stick to -- is that an option? You mentioned the Facebook group which sounds amazing and a great tool to have when starting a new workout plan, but it looks like it's been deleted. (??) The 3 week rotation might be the answer, but again, I can't find that listed anywhere. Help! :)

Hi Rachel!! You look amazing! Have you had your thyroid checked? I had the same bloating symptoms and I got my thyroid tested and come to find out I had an under active thyroid which was causing my bloat! Ado, I love TTapp!! Have you tried Callanetics? Another amazing TTapp/like workout! Lastly, I have been doing TAM since 11/21. Love it! But I am curious about Hamelin because of your videos! I love how slim I am with TAM but I would like more time without the bulk. Would you say you’re still slim with Hamelin like with TAM? Thank you so much for your great videos!!
@RundownwithRachel
@RundownwithRachel Год назад
Jaime!!! Thank you so so much for the thyroid and Callanetic tips - I am going to look into both!!! In some ways I find I am slimmer with HAM. Mainly my legs. I’m dealing with arm and back fat though and not sure if it’s Hamelin or whatever bloating thing I’m dealing with. Sounds weird but I notice I retain water there. The great thing is you can try many of his exercises via RU-vid. If you like the slimming feeling may be worth trying inch loss and/or cardio tone. Cardio tone is a great dance cardio that doesn’t make me extra hungry like Tracy’s does. At this time, the model workouts are not available on RU-vid or Vimeo (from what I’ve found) otherwise I would recommend that one, too.

Regarding some Lymphatic tips that might help: Rebounder trampoline ( I think you do this already), Yoga flows with emphasis on detox which includes a lot of twisting poses, and Teeter chair or Inversion table puts you upside down is supposed to be good for bloating digestion. Those are my go to remedies. I don’t mess around with pills or supplements, my experience is they make things worse. In fact, if you just suddenly started to have bloating….did you add anything new to your daily routine? New supplement or vitamin? Could be causing bloating maybe. You are so similar to me, I’m probably about 10 years ahead. You are about 33 yrs old maybe? I’m 43 yrs old. The bloating, the scalp issues, the food sensitivities, I’ve had them all. Complicated issues with no easy answer unfortunately. For me, Citrus is my biggest trigger, but I also have idiopathic dermagraphic urticaria as well. Dairy is another one my skin hates. I don’t drink alcohol, you might try cutting that out since it’s a toxin. I was going to try one of those food sensitivities tests years ago but I heard they have a lot of false positives. Went to many doctors over the course of about 6 years of bizarre symptoms and got no answers. Except Urticaria ( no root cause can be found ) and anxiety. Oh and maybe Perimenopause symptoms from fluctuations in hormones. 🤷🏻‍♀️
@RundownwithRachel

You are so helpful, thank you!!!! I am getting back into the rebounder and am very excited about it. Now that you ask the question about what’s changed - I wonder how much stress plays into bloat! It does impact hormones so that could very well be a driver for me!

Ok everyone is different but I just didn’t enjoy Hamelin workouts, I like verbal cueing. Same with TAM I respond better with verbal cuing and her vibe is so dismal no smiles or sparkle on camera. I did a couple Issac Boots Torched classes and attended an in person class while in Palm Beach. Talk about a happy camper positive vibe! I loved his format great workout and I’d do this subscription if I wasn’t so hooked on Bar Method. His IG classes are daily usually 30 minutes. Have you tried it or viewed one? PS I think Issac is very uplifting he does a lot of charity work. Next winter you should go to Palm Beach and take his class at the Colony.
@walkworkoutridebike
@walkworkoutridebike Год назад
The difference is. Hamelin gives the necessary cues. Everything you need to know. He does in fact give verbal cueing. What he doesn’t do, is entertain, he does not put on a show, and I think that’s the difference between someone like him and Isaac. I did some of Isaac’s workouts, during covid when he was live streaming on IG. Yes, he’s very like-able to many; non-stop vocal, very “extra” and super flamboyant. That appeals to many. But Hamelin’s more quiet, humble demeanor speaks volumes. I find his teaching and leading style to be precise, professional and effective. It’s just different styles and that’s the awesome part about all of this. We have choices.
