Is Thiamine Deficiency Destroying Your Digestive Health? Why B1 Is ESSENTIAL For Gut Function

In the presentation, I explain why vitamin B1 (thiamine) is absolutely essential for a healthy gut. This deficiency often gets overlooked, and it is likely a LOT more common than many believe.
Thiamine is necessary for the health of the autonomic nervous system, which is responsible for:
1. Gut motility
2. Stomach acid, bile, and digestive enzyme secretion
3. Preventing/modulating gut permeability
A deficiency in this key nutrient can lead to all of the symptoms associated with individual gut-related disorder including IBS and SIBO.

This saved my life. I was referred to this by a friend. I took 100mg thiamine hcl and became extremely fatigued/tired, but I kept up with it daily and in just a few days I had 0 intestinal pain. Usually I brace myself for massive cramping and discomfort throughout the day especially after eating. Every meal brings fear because of the torture I endured after eating, Along with a host of other issues. I felt like death many times especially after coffee or tea. The feeling I would always describe as a deficiency feeling but I had no idea what was actual wrong. This saved my life. I lost 10 years of my life to this. I had constant fight or flight and rarely ever left my home. Anytime I left home I was in a rush to get back and could never enjoy anything. It all now makes sense what happened to me. 10 years of suffering later and I was given another chance at life. Thank you so much

It's the first step in energy production in the cell. The cell has specialised function, if it can't get the energy it needs to go beyond the threshold for simply survival and then further for repair, then it won't get any better. Edit - I now think I had oxalate dumping symptoms which were relieved not by the benfo but by turmeric(high oxalate) milk that I had the same night as the 600mg Benfotiamine. I had the same problems a few months later when on carnivore diet(no oxalates) and the benfo didn't do anything but two squares of dark chocolate resulted in the pain disappearing. If its in a box, leave it on the shelf. Does it have a paragraph of ingredients? Shelf. Buy produce and meat and spices. Use healthy oils like olive, not canola and soy. Learn to make it yourself. Turns out, fast food is just not any faster unless you mean the path to death. I only wish I adopted this diet this sooner. I'm sure my B1 and probably all vitamin absorption improved after being no sugar for a few months. I just felt... 'improved' Yes and I went from obese to normal. Very enlightening. I have thiamine deficiency and chronic gut/health problems. My FMD just helped me uncover this. I see him next week to talk about the results. Slow motility since I was a child and chronic gut/health problems for decades now. I may be getting some answers finally. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the great info!

@@mattholley3642 Hey mate. My health and body is truly transforming. I am 70 years on this planet and relative to most guys my age am holding up pretty good. However I have had over recent years a decline in overall health. At the time of researching thiamin I decided that I was going to start investing in Supernutrition. So apart from thiamin I have been taking many super supplements. So I can't say that it was because of Thiamin that I am feeling so well I have reversed a lot of my health issues and I am feeling probably the best for about 10 years. I am living with HIV and have been taking medication that keeps me hiv "undetectable". The big problem is that the medication has fucked up my general health and well being. Most of those around be think I look 20-30 years younger, which is flattering but personally I know that my health has been deteriorating. The decision to go SuperSup was the best decision I could have made. Thiamiin I'm sure is contributing to my success story. Only issue now is the cost of the Supersups. All good investments to live a healthy vibrant life. Thank you for your interest. Your post really helped understand the significance of Thiamin supplementing. I will continue to include in my regime. Many thanks. Andrew

I think you just saved my mother's life! Thank you so much Elliot. You are a God's sent! She has had a high-white rice diet her entire life and has been dealing with these exact symptoms for a couple of years now with each passing day getting worse. She had gone to see mutliple physicians having done many GI tests, but they were all just left scratching their heads only prescribing PPI drugs. I had a gut feeling her condition had to do with nutrition. You've explained everything so perfectly. I'm now going to order TTFD and Mg glycinate along with a Bcomplex vitamin to administer asap. Then get her onto keto-carnivore (fatty fish, liver & egg yolks heavy) to get as much nutrients as she can possibly get and keep down
@CaliforniaPickin

White rice causes this. Only eat brown or wild rice with the hull.
@JYAN2852
@JYAN2852 3 года назад
@@CaliforniaPickin Upon further research after I found that what you stated was accurate. But she does not like the taste and texture of brown rice. It not only has the highest amount of arsenic among all rices, but there is also lectins in the husk. She refuses to give up rice as part of her daily meals, so I switched her over to unwashed parboiled rice which does contain some thiamine in it. At least with periodic thiamine & magnesium supplementation I know now how to prevent beriberi

Interesting commentary on how we think can affect microbiome. We also know that in the plant world, the exudates from plant roots can stimulate and feed different bacteria in the soil - there is a symbiotic relationship between plants and microbes in the soil and the plant provide different signals to the microbes to provide different materials to plant roots depending on plant needs.

wow, very good, in great detail, which is definitely appropriate, showing a lot, if not all , aspects, thank you!. Symptoms may be even more mysterious if they come and go, if you are borderline deficient, and just dependent on what you eat you find yourself above or below the range your body would need. Caring about the vegetative nervous system, the mind body integration, and the mobile soil culture we are carrying around is now recognized of being of great importance, down to the level of biochemical mechanisms... Very very important, thank you

Handsdown this is most informative video I've ever seen on healthcare of the literally hundreds of thousands I've watched since 2008. You should do more videos on various other B-Vitamins like B2(Riboflavin), B-5(Panthothenic Acid), B-7(Biotin), B-8 (Inositol), B-10(4-Aminibenzoic Acid), Also, on B4, B8, B11, B13 upto B17 and B20. Also, a video on how B-6 and Bv(type of the same vitamins) Bw(another type of Biotin), Bx (which is a mix of pABA and Panthothenic acid) Dude, you're a rockstar. I had this video in my watch later since a long long time somewhere around 7000+ rank in watch later section), RU-vid threw me your video as a suggestion and I am amazed with the plethora of information you put forth with Data to back it up. Subbed. Best wishes from India 🇮🇳

You should also stay away from B complexes that has B6 (Pyridoxine hydrochloride which is the synthetic inactive form) and not B6 P5P (Pyridoxin-5-Phosphate which is the natural active form). If you’re supplementing with the synthetic B6 it actually competes with your body’s natural active B6 creating a deficiency and worsening of symptoms. B6 deficiency symptoms are a lot like B1, B12 and folate such as peripheral neuropathy, brain fog, anxiety etc.

I started low oxalate diet and only carb I eat was white rice. What happend is I had strange symptoms, but one of then was irregular heat beats and muscle burn out and weaknes. So, started to get more magnesium but symptoms got even worst! But I now know why. I was thiamine deficient because of low diatery thiamine plus white rice that deplete thiamine even more and thiamine needs magnesium to get fully activated. I also feel cold all the time. So, I ate some pork today and some beef liver, no rice. My body temperature goes up and I have more energy. Will see how will go long term. Again, God bless you ELIOT, you are true life saver!!!
