Thank u guys for all ur how to videos on the car repairs! I have the the Bluetooth scanner and love it! Never has it failed once and tells me what I need to know like the feature that it gives links to buy the part from a website.Great job gentleman and keep it up 👍🏼

Does this MAF sensor have a IAT sensor on it as well ? Cause I replaced the MAF sensor on my 2011 1.8 Honda Civic coupe and it's still giving me an IAT sensor code. NEED HELP ASAP!!!!

Chris's face at @1:58 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Hillarious. Quick question, i got a p0102 code. "Mass or Volume Air Flow A Circuit Low" I replaced mine but It might be a dud as the code is still on. At the same time , the alternator went blank so I have to replace that now before I could do any driving (in Hope's the code goes away?). 2009 Civic LX

P0171 also could mean less fuel (injector issue, pump issue), or a leak in the air tubing... Why do you go ahead and replace the MAF immediately? Is there any reason to that?

The MAF is just one thing that could cause the codes talked about in the video yes. this is set up to be a instructional video on how to replace the MAF more so then how to remedy the codes.

What is the correct maf reading at idle on this enging (R18). I'm currently working on a 2009 civic with an R18 and manual trans. At idle with the engine warm, the maf is reading as low as 1.6 grams/second. (It's also at about -10% on the long term fuel trim, but one thing at a time) So what should the MAF reading be, at idle?

I've got the same issue. 1.7 g/s at idle and my LTFT is around -7%. I'm getting ready to smoke test to check for leaks.

You replaced the unit, instead of just cleaning it? Does that mean that it was beyond fixing?

It would always be a better option to replace the whole sensor in any case if there was a issue!

@@LemurMonitors Yes, but you did not even know if the MAF was wrong. I know that the USA way is not to worry about wasting anything (life, polluting the environment, etc), but I think a training video should say this upfront: "Our time is precious, so instead of looking for the real issue, we just replace everything,. Also, at some time it will go bad anyway..." And then it is clear. On the positive side, if someone is looking for a MAF replacement, great video! PS: Subscribed to your channel. So I am critical, but I acknowledge your work.

Your video could be better ??? How to use the Bluedriver to check whether MAF sensor is bad. The replacing it or cleaning(important steps such as don't install it right away and start the car. Wait 30 to 60min) the sensor....
