Molly Brown’s life finishes in this final installment of The REAL Molly Brown. Episode one explored her life before Titanic and rise from rags to riches. Part two covered the real story of Molly’s Titanic survival. Part three told of her actions on Carpathia and efforts to help survivors. In this episode we discuss her life after, including her work for suffrage, American workers, politics and her efforts in World War I. Thanks to the Denver Public Library and the Library of Congress for the bulk of the images in this episode and the fabulous biography of Margaret Brown written by Kristen Iverson has been a valuable source for the information presented here.

Some people come to this earth fighting for so many that for whatever reason can't fight themselves. This was her from to to bottom! Amazing lady

She really was, the real Maggie is SO much more amazing and interesting than the fictional one everyone is familiar with. I was so ticked off that James Cameron’s Titanic movie made it look like she backed down and let Hichens win without a fight. She threatened to throw HIM overboard not the other way around. Maggie was bad ass and a tireless philanthropist. I am in awe of her accomplishments given the era in which she lived. Thanks for watching!

@@MMorbid I agree I was very ticked off at that as well. She put him in his place, It was a disgrace to her memory and who she was and what she stood for. Thank you again, and making sure the record was set straight! 😊

Interesting topic. I’ll go to my library to see what else I can read about it. Thanks.

She’s such an interesting lady. I believe she was very unique for the time she lived. She was very independent and strong willed from the books I’ve read on her.

I love Margaret, I wish I had done even a fraction of the good things she did with her life, and she did it in a time when women had no power. It sounds like she was stubborn as a mule though! Whether that was a good trait or bad I’m not sure! Lol If you haven’t I recommend the videos on Pearl White, the silent film actress. I saw a lot of similarities in them in terms of personality and drive. Thanks for watching!
