Still have my EXOVCDS sticker on my toolbox! Doing my MK7 waterpump in a few days and wish I could follow one of your videos on the job. Wishing you the best mein Kommandant!
@@EXOVCDSUpdate: You wouldn't be proud of me. I f'ed up the union. I omitted to "nudge" the pump towards the oil cooler to ensure the union was seated well. Instead I was rewarded with a rain of coolant and "Check Low Coolant" Alert. Now that it works i'm going to Oktoberfest like it's 1999.
01 TDI golf, no check engine like, with key on or start, wont communicate with obd tester port, engine fires right up, no boost. Runs, can get around but lacks power. Any idea what to check. ECU bad? wiring grounds? thanks
How long have you had the car? When did this start happening? Which obd scan tool are you using? Can you scan / communicate with other modules? ECM could be bad, but not sure at this point.
I have had the car 5 years or so, and driven it maybe two or three years with it like that. There never was any boost. It is autel scanner, simple but works good, works on my other tdi car. Never a check engine light, and wont connect to port but powers on and thinks then says connection failed or something. @@EXOVCDS
@user-lq5jn5sz1w Check if the turbo vacuum pod gets vacuum when the engine is at idle. Minimum 17"Hg. If yes, does the actuator rod move from fully released to fully applied and back to fully released when the engine is started & shut off? You will need a second person to start the engine and shut it off while you look at the actuator rod.
@@EXOVCDS Check the turbo actuator vac? at the turbo. ok. I will check, I think I manually actuated it with vac tester. So at idle it should be open and with 17hg vac? And when engine off, it should closed?
