Thank you, this is a very interesting and thorough explanation, I have heard about photopolymer paper but not the gel you use!

Did you try an exacto knive to fix problems like lines to thin for stamping or that the eye in the "e" closed up?

no, if I need to I will do another print. I'm not happy with my precision with a blade!

awesome, video....any advice on getting bubbles out of the resin...the bubbles drive me crazy...thanks
@createinspain
@createinspain 7 лет назад
The way you store the resin can make a difference. Once a bit has been used from the kg bottle, I transfer it to a large black, flip lid shampoo bottle. This allows me to store it upside down (I prop it up in a spray can top). This decreases the amount of air that can get into it when dispensing. Don't squeeze the bottle too hard to get it out when pouring and pour in lines from one side to the other in a gentle back and forth manner. If you get bubbles a little gentle heat from a hair drier or heat tool can help get rid of them, sometimes with the aid of a pin. I find fewer issues with bubbles when the room is warmer.

Hi. I have tried the stamp making today. I have an UV lamp, tracing paper, ng7 liquid and in some reason couldn’t do it. In some reason at the end I had a big piece of hardish gel and no stamp on it. I have an inkjet printer. This should be a problem? Thank you

createinspain.blogspot.com Go to that page and use the contact form and I can email you for more details. From what you have said, your stamp has been over cured. i recommend that you start off with a SMALL stamp until you know what you are doing or you will go through all the NG7 and not get anywhere!

Hi Sondra, was just wondering if you have tried these sheets? Look forward to seeing what you think. So much easier than the liquid I am thinking.
@createinspain
@createinspain 6 лет назад
What sheets? The UV ones? They are principally used for making industry stamps and I have not used them. Also very pricy to get here.

I so appreciate all of your videos. I seem to still be stuck on printing the negatives. I've tried tracing paper and it was a smeary mess. Seems like the tracing paper I have may have some sort of finish on it that causes the inkjet ink to smear. Any tips? I tried the same settings on my Canon i70 inkjet and still had trouble. Thanks!

I am using a LASER printer, my Canon won't print on it either! I have a cheap Samsung laser printer. If you can't print things yourself, maybe you can take some tracing paper to a print shop and ask them to print for you? I've tried printing on Over Head Printer Film and couldn't get my inkjet to print well on that either. If you have any transparent vegetable paper, you may find that works on your inkjet - it leads to a slightly longer curing time as it blocks a bit more UV light.

@@createinspain The tracing paper was not opaque enough in my Brother laser printer. I'll keep trying different settings and mediums. I may call a print shop too.

@@veramats On my printer I have a few settings I can change, one for quality and another for darkness of print, check to see if you have too! I then set it up as a custom setting so that I can easily know I have it set correctly for that purpose.

@@createinspain I tried printing the tracing paper in the laser printer and the toner just comes right off and doesn't stick to the tracing paper at all. I'm going to try to see if a local printer business can print for me. I'm just not able to get anything dark enough at home. I'd rather not buy another printer. :)

Oh yeah I meant to ask you if you have ever used imagepacs ...they are crystal clear
@createinspain

No, too expensive!
@reginaeaster
@reginaeaster 7 лет назад
createinspain yes I am finding that out. I recentlyrics switched over to using the pouches cause I actually have a business making Stamps but oh my I take 5 steps up to go 10 back with the exposure times...I actually have a more professional machine but lately have been wasting so much materials with the pouches. you have to be sooooo careful when scrubbing the plates clean. so thinking about going back to the old way BUT gotta get these bubbles under control .

well that’s clever and cheap 😮 i used expensive special inkjet negative film. 10 sheets cost me 13.25£ plus shipping of course cause i do’nt even live in england 😀 well... thank you for that tip

Merlin - Sorry I didn't get there sooner! Would you believe I had tried pretty much every paper I could get my hands on. What did it in the end was near success with tissue paper - but it wasn't heavy enough to hold enough ink. I didn't have any tracing paper, but when I saw some while out shopping, I decided it wouldn't hurt to try that too!
@Navitrolla
@Navitrolla 7 лет назад
I actually knew about the tracing paper before but i never tried cause i got all kind of information that it’s not reccomented and would’nt work and what ever. And i was not really sure what the tracing paper means 😀😀 now i looked up and what do you know - it’s the same paper i never tried.
@createinspain
@createinspain 7 лет назад
Merlin - I do wonder if misinformation is put out by various businesses who want to make money from selling outrageously expensive materials! As you can see, it works - or at least it does with my method, obviously I don't have the imagepac kit to try it with that. However, the cost of those sachets compared to the bottles.....and now that the method is clean, I see no reason to. The only real difference though is whatever type of plastic those sachets are made of and possibly a different thickness of glass, that affect the timing.

createinspain yea... allthough the negative film is really good, it’s A4 format, so i have to print whole sheet full of different images and projects. otherwise i’ll loose the film cause it’s almost impossible to print on some little peace of film. how did you print on the tracing paper? it is so thin. did you feed it to the printer with a regular printing paper?
@NessysSanctuary
@NessysSanctuary 7 лет назад
i think they are made of food sealer material there are different thicknesses it looks like the thinner plastic

Madhatters - the VX55 is pretty much the same - slightly firmer and slightly dearer.

good news. i will get my colop polymer from another estonian seller because i wrote to colop again and told that the first seller asked too high price and probably they gave my contacts to another seller who contacted me and asked about my wishes and eventually told that the polymer is 29€+shipping and after 3kg and more it will be 25€ per 1kg. so thats perfectly good deal i guess
@createinspain
@createinspain 7 лет назад
Merlin, good news indeed! Hopefully, you will be stamp making very soon! I have also managed to print negatives on an old laser printer, just by using normal paper setting, best quality and dark colour setting. Not quite as good as the inkjet but cheaper to run! Let me know when your gel arrives - you may find the label is not what you expect. When I know exactly what it is I may be able to give you fairly accurate timings.
@Navitrolla
@Navitrolla 7 лет назад
The polymer will be that new one they have - VX55 i beliebe. Maybe i should ask the seller whats the difference
@createinspain
@createinspain 7 лет назад
Merlin, most likely they won't know! I do wonder if they just brand them differently for different countries or markets.
@Navitrolla
@Navitrolla 7 лет назад
Well... as long it’s clear and sticky polymer, i’ll be happy. Beacuse i actually can make a small business out of it so i deffinutely need a photopolymer which sticks to the acrylic block. If i find out whats the difference between VX55 and i55HV then i’ll let you know. Also i saw a video where one india guy made negative out of butter paper 😀 and used it with all the professional equipment.

I get 3 1 kg bottles at a time. When I first contacted them, there was no rep for Spain that I could find. I rang the UK and told them that I design my own stamps and wanted to source it here. They told me they had a new rep and gave me contact details, but he ignored me. I went back to them and said I wanted 3 bottles but the guy isn't answering his emails. They contacted him and the next thing I knew, he turned up on my doorstep! My spanish is not brilliant but he had a catalogue and I showed him what I wanted. He went away having said he would get it, then I heard nothing. Eventually hubby spoke to someone in the UK and I think they put the order through to him - although payment is a bit weird in that he had to set up an account. Now though, it is (he says) simply a matter of sending in a new order when I need it. When I looked at the latest lot I got at Christmas, I asked hubby if he had ordered the same type - he said he had, but this is definitely different - the times are much shorter and the result is even better - it is firmer and not so sticky once finished. I suspect it all comes from the same place in Mumbai or somewhere and re labelled! I think that it is only being persistent that will work! The strange thing is, I looked at the spanish catalogue on line today and the NG7 that I now have, isn't even listed.......but hubby bought it at the end of last year!
