Well this came completely out of nowhere.
The Quake 2 remaster is everything we could have hoped it would be, and more. I remember playing this on the OG PlayStation. It looked great for a PSone game, but the controls were terrible.
This remaster adds so many QoL improvements. It has full crossplay multiplayer and coop. In this video I go over my settings and steam input profile.

I have played some of Quake 2 and liked it before the remaster, but it improves the game so much I think it may have made me like it more than the first game. This could also be recency bias. It’s also great to see it handle mixed inputs well, but that’s expected out of a Nightdive port.

You've largely turned Quake 2 into a walking simulator for these guys lol. And they even had trouble with that. 😅

I tried your settings and everything is so incredibly sensitive! I think imma have to tone some of this down till I get the hang of it ha.

make sure that your in-game mouse sense isnt set too high.

Both Doom and Duke3D have amazing community-made engines called GZDoom and Raze engine, with lots of QoL features. I actually have videos of both those projects on my channel.
