Heck, there are plenty of full-time+ hard-working people who still can't afford enough food for themselves or their children. It's so f-ed up that people can literally end up with starvation wage, and have to choose between paying for rent, necessary medicine, or food. Really, food and shelter should be basic rights, not seen as just incentives to work. It makes me sick that some people can drop $6,000 usd on a single meal and own multiple homes, while others suffer.

I just want to stab them and tell them they could just chose not to bleed.

I think you're thinking of snakes, which can inbreed due to not having much genetic diversity to begin with (like, the difference between sibling snakes and unrelated snakes is nigh nonexistent), but those're reptiles (iirc), not mammals. I don't recall any mammals who have anything similar to that going on - the only safe inbreeding for mammals is if you're doing genetic testing at every step to ensure you're not pairing bad genetics together.

You hit perimenopause and menopause, where periods get less frequent or stop completely, but you are still able to revert back some steps for some time until everything set into the new status quo after a few years.

Not SUPER related but I haven't been to a gynecologist in over a year because in 2020 I stopped taking birth control without her consent and every time I went back she told me to get back on it. And no matter what problem I came in with she went "this wouldn't happen if you were on the pill" and I'm just there like.. ma'am I've had 3 suicide attempts while on the pill, it clearly wasn't a "no problem" run. I don't have a boyfriend, I don't hook up with people and when I do I use protection, blood clots and vein disease run in my family. I'm the last person on the planet you need to get back on them. Not even gonna mention the risky behavior being on the pill allows you to do in mentally unstable times. I'm much better off actually having to use condoms, thank you. I'm doing a paper for class on steamboats, specifically the Sultana. The old steam engine boilers had a safety valve to release excess steam. Some engineers would actually force it closed so the engine would get more power. Lot of steam engines exploded too.

A good rule to live by: Only remove or disable something once you fully understand why it was installed in the first place. Not everyone follows it...

If the lights kept going out then it should be obvious that there's a problem that needs to be checked out.

The edit is hilarious, but then I remembered that people do genuinely believe these shows are real. I had two coworkers who would rewatch clips behind me of various shows and they would get so riled up it made me really appreciate that maybe some of my suffering in life is because I'm not dumb enough to live blissfully. The one clip I remember were these girls having an all out bitch slapping brawl because the guy invited his wife to meet him at a restaurant while taking his girlfriend with him to dinner at the same restaurant? Getting angry and picking sides between the women. And then I realized the people in that show were making money living out a preteen's deepest, most dramatic story writing skills and that I need to find a better job.

I got this a lot. I'm Autistic and not sociable at all and I love to read. Don't know how many times I'd be eating a meal in public and reading and someone tries to make conversation by asking what I'm reading. I'd show them the cover briefly without saying a word and then go back to reading. 95% of the time anyone asking that question doesn't actually care what you're reading and I'm not going to waste precious braincells and social stress to give them a summary of the plot. If you're one of the 5% that does know the book I'm reading and are actually interested in the characters and world and want to fan splash about it, then I might be drawn into the conversation; otherwise leave me alone. I don't get lonely.

It is true a good majority of us have repeatedly commit the same mistakes in some cases, but when it comes to official elections and such I feel there's significantly more at play than simply our own decisions. (Take for instance in the case of the USA, electoral colleges... because apparently people are "too stupid" or uneducated to know what they want even if they do.) Don't get me wrong, I share your frustrations about representatives and I do think there are way too many willfully stupid people as seen in the recent years, but I think there may be less than we may get the impression of to begin with.

I got a Microwave only on the late 1990s and since I installed that, the breaker for the kitchen used to go off every other or third time I used the microwave. I’m so sorry. Losing a pet (I hate to call them that!) is very rough. I lost my dog last February, so I understand. They’re family. We love them like they are our children.

yeah, it's not true at all. You're absolutely entitled to your decision on when and with whom to engage in sexual activities. Bodily autonomy means just that! some have twisted it to say that if you're a free woman you can, should and will sleep with every man you encounter but it's not the case. It simply means that you get to decide, so good for you for sticking to what you believe in.
