LOVE YOUR VIDEOS.... definitely make it easy to understand.... I found a deal on one that I still can't believe.... 1993 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4x4....paid a grand total of $600. Has Barely been drivin considering the age. Under 120,000 miles! The original pedals still look new and the steering still feels factory tight.... Somehow the owner fouled out the knock sensor and it was stuck in limp mode. They the the trans was shot so it sat parked in front of their garage for a year or so then the cats were cut off and it sat another 2 years before I happened across it and talked him into selling. Worst thing I can say about it was the 40+ mile drive with no cats and stuck in limp mode was loud as FK 😅.....fixed the sensor and str8 piped it crunk right up and drove like nothing was ever wrong with it....put one take of high boost pickle juice in it to clean it out (after dumping and flushing the tank of course) and OMG I'm IN ❤️‼️ plan on doing this mod next week..... 🎅🏻🌲MERRY CHRISTMAS 2 MEEEEE🌲⛄‼️

What can be done on the 2WD hardbody trucks to lift it it’s still on the factory 14s and 195/75/14 want to go 265/70/16s I’m getting as factory takeoffs from my new Tacoma can I crank the torsion bars up front do I need to replace the shocks due to the lift? In the rear the leafs are under the axle so do I need to get them over the axle and replace shocks or is there a way to lift the rear with like shackles or something?? I haven’t been able to find anything on it only on 4WD D21
@PathmakerProductions
@PathmakerProductions Год назад
Those tires should fit without lifting much, they're smaller than the stock 4x4 tires. You can still crank the torsion bars, they look a bit different when you're under there than the 4x4 ones but they work the same way. You're not likely going to get enough crank out of the torsion bars to need longer shocks. Easiest way to raise the rear a bit is to make longer shackles. Simple to make from a few pieces of 2" flatbar with some holes drilled in them.

Box end wrench to grab one side, the other end of the bolt I usually cant fit a wrench on so I end up jamming a flat head screwdriver in between the bolt head and the arm until it binds up and holds it good enough to loosen. It takes a bit of fiddling.

I never count, probably 4 but it all depends on how far yours have been cranked already and how far they've sagged. Its hard to keep track unless you mark them out, also the two sides can sag differently, so I typically pop the anchors off, twist it down as far as I can while still being able to get the nut on the adjustment bolt and then cranking it back up from there.

@@PathmakerProductionsI’m also not sure what kits would actually be compatible with my 90’ wd21. Does it need to be a kit specifically designed for the wd21?
@PathmakerProductions
@PathmakerProductions Месяц назад
No need to compress springs, if you jack up the rear and let the axle fully droop the springs just drop right out. Back in the day I ran a 3" suspension lift from 4x4parts.com and they are great guys and sell good parts and their kit will come with everything you need. I'd recommend against going with the kit that comes with the Rancho shocks as they're very stiff and handle terribly, I've been much happier with my bilstein 5125s over the years. Yes you'll need a WD21 kit as a D21 lift will be the same for the front but the d21 pickups have leaf springs in the rear not coil springs so the rear won't be compatible. Stay away from Calmini (quick google search will explain a lot) and Rough Country (really cheap parts). No special tools needed, just hand tools and a jack, I did my 3" suspension lift in my parents driveway back in 2002 with nothing more than a socket set and a jack and no knowledge.

Hello from Russia, I have one question. Who don`t you have 21 beavers yet with such a frame. I have a Nissan Terrano WBYD21/ The same Pathinder At the moment. I am Carrying out a body restoration and frame replacement. Because the is rotten. And in fact, it is not safe to move with such a rotten paradise. Since it can simply fall apart under load. Yes I write with the help of a translation, + I started learning English from scratch I don`t understand a lot of things yet, verbs etc. So do not judge strictly for writing mistakes. And if there is a video about the restoration of the machine, you can throw a link it would be interesting to watch. By the way, i`m putting the front springs from TLC 80 On the raer axle.

Hi Welcome, I'm not sure who is doing restoration videos on Nissan Pathfinders. I do videos about them but my upgrades are all about doing the cheapest possible things to get out in the forest to show that you don't need to spend a lot of money to go 4x4ing! They are very simple to work on, I recommend finding a second one to buy so you can take the parts off of it and put them on your first Nissan, thats the easiest way to restore them for cheap!
