Just started watching replay. I suspect Chad will not accept any responsibility in the unaliving of his wife and two children. I suspect he will throw all blame on Lori. That won’t go well for Loro’s appeal or his case actually.

@@vixtex Yep true. But it is clear that Alex was following orders from Lori and he can’t defend himself now as he is 6 feet under. Lori won’t accuse Chad, but i bet he won’t hesitate to blame Lori like the chinless loser he appears to be. It’s going to be an interesting trial.

Absolutely Peter….as someone that has followed this case since the kids were missing, please continue to cover this case. I do believe there will be cameras in the courtroom. (His attorney is a bit of a showman as well) so I’m not surprised they want cameras! Lol

I work in media law. My partner and associate file motions to intervene on behalf of large media companies and the importance of media at trial. There definitely are 2 sides to every coin. I believe live broadcast of court trials is conducive to regulating trial conduct, promoting judicial transparency and justice, and protecting the public's right to know and the media's freedom of expression.

Yes pleas cover the chad daybell case and i dont think the judge will allow cameras just because of all the issues idaho is having with the media reporting on things idaho specifically does not want the media to report or focus on

I really hope Judge Boyce allows cameras in Daybell’s trial. Prior is way more feisty than Vallow’s attorneys and I think he will ask some of the witnesses that the state has gone way too soft on the hard questions we all want answered. Judge Boyce was fairly new to the district court level when these cases first came onto the radar. Since then he’s gotten one super high profile trial under his belt. He’s had a baptism by fire and I think he’s gotten a lot more confidence in himself. I think he might just be ready to allow cameras at Chad’s trial.

I’m a nerd who appreciates you covering status hearings, so thanks for this video! I think the judge may allow cameras with restrictions (eg: not showing the defendant unless he’s testifying). Hopefully the media has learned their lesson after Lori’s trial went audio-only and will abide by court orders.

Trials are public. It's the 21st century. With proper rules and penalties for media companies that don't follow them, cameras should be allowed. Cameras should be allowed in federal court as well.

I think Prior wants cameras in the court room because I think hes hoping the prosecutors are gona slip up big time and he can use it in a bigtime appeal.. plus he seems to like the limelight of holding prosecutors accountable for any mistake

I would like to let you know of my interest in your covering this case. Your expertise in explaining what everything means is so helpful. In addition, I would hope the judge would let cameras in if the defendant wishes it so, but in the end, isn't it the judges decision? Can't imagine how inconvenient it must be having cameras in court, but it certainly is helpful for a lot of us to see trials in action.
