Remove qualified immunity. The Appellate court would cease to exist as their jurisdiction only to rule on previously ruled cases. The reason why this misconduct is going down obviously that the prosecutor and the judge are used to working with public defenders, who are all government agents working against the defendant. Most public defenders would not have raised to the roof.

I was wondering why this judge is doing what he's doing. Is it just because he's tired of this trial and wants to get over it?! Everyone is watching, everyone is talking about this and this judge will have to live with his reputation and the bad image he's creating from his own actions!

The whole concept was, from the beginning, to have a single trial for everybody so that they could have guilty verdicts for accused people even when they had nothing to do with that particular charge. Exactly what I have been saying. They could have murder half of the people who died in Atlanta since 2015, but the Det. & DA's office should have been on their job way back then and this court system and handled it all then. But now that they throw that good ol GA RICO out to catch all to get someone they certainly should follow the law completely to make sure if they get any convections they will stick. This clown show is going straight to appeals and coming back or thrown out completely at this rate
@ESPHMacD
@ESPHMacD 10 дней назад
Especially a trial this long with this many defendants... If they all did it, full on guilty, then you only want to have to do a trial like this once. ESPECIALLY when the witnesses could be the kind to need immunity agreements or are worried about retaliation, you think they're gonna want to do this all again, with the defendants knowing all the shit that they'll testify to? You should want to make sure this trial is so above board, completely beyond reproach as far as what you can control, so that this only happens once. At this rate they're risking it being locked behind prejudice and then they can't even try them all again. Watching this trial is a shameful view of a corrupt portion of our justice system.

Because it's his court, and those are things he's entitled to do as judge. But don't worry, there are balances to this power. This is what appeals courts are for. The caveat is that you CAN'T appeal on things you didn't fight for DURING the trial - the appeals court will say "you should have brought this up in the trial in the first place - that's your own fault." That means that even though this judge will dismiss it and deny it, Steele still HAS TO bring this motion to *this* judge at least once before the appeals court will even look at it. By having this judge deny the motions, Steele has opened the legal doorway to be able to have another court address this judge's behavior.

Knowing full well that there were millionaires waiting, and millions watching, Judge Glanville and the DA’s office decided to hold a “secret” meeting that lasted for 3 hours. When asked obvious questions about the “secret” meeting, the judge tried to penalize the defense. This is not an outlier. The judge and the state were too comfortable in their wrongness. They even have special hand signals to communicate knowing that they’re being recorded. This is systemic and I bet that it would be incredibly hard to find a judge in that building that didn’t do the same. The jail isn’t full of people who have never been indicted because of a little corruption. Fulton County is corrupt from the top down.

@@guzak2643 Absolutely! There is a guy named Ceddy Nash who covers this case. A couple of weeks ago he started one of his videos with this exchange between the judge and one of the prosecutors. It reminded me of the signals we’d make when I was little and playing baseball. They was major to me so I kept asking and commenting about it. I said that that was too smooth to have been a one time thing. He found more. The judge and the state are communicating in court in front of cameras. There’s no way that this just started. It’s alarming that ALL lawyers aren’t talking about it. Ceddy did a live on the Saturday before Father’s Day with two other lawyers. I brought it up and they seemed were alarmed as well. They discussed it in detail. Otherwise, I have seen no other channel mention it. Maybe it’s an industry secret or something?

I couldn’t believe the judge and the state were using sign language. The ADA has shown video and pictures of the defendants using “hand signs” and they are doing the same thing. It could be coincidence but at this point, I’d believe ADA Hylton is General Shug Knights niece….goood….NESS

It makes me uncomfortable, too, but I understand where Peter is coming from and his dad always handles it with such grace - you can tell he's accustomed to dealing with curt legal professionals lol (Also, I know different families have different dynamics; what's uncomfortable for one family might be totally normal for another.)

Did the Attorney for the witness Kayla Bumpas break any rules/laws by disclosing the ex parte meeting? Why is the judge holding a hearing to "find out" how the defence found out about the meeting. Are they not allowed to know?
@Leah.Something
@Leah.Something 10 дней назад
The ex parte meeting itself - without waiver from the defendants and their counsel (all of them) and without immediate complete disclosure of the meeting - is unlawful, so Kayla Bumpas is protecting her bar license by not becoming party to it. Same with Steel. Good on them.

This judge has gone through law school, passed the bar, been a lawyer, probably spent many evenings suffering through discovery of his cases, then campaigned to become a judge, and finally gotten to the wear the black robe. How sad that he's willing to throw all of that away! His life's work, all the time spent away from family, the stress, the time, the achievements, his reputation, his family's reputation and pride. All of that could and probably will go down the drain because of what he's done. What a fool! Incomprehensible... 🤦

It's quite boring reads as though she has copied definitions from the dictionary or a glossary of law terms interspersed with complaints. It also reads as though she is trying to talk to people following the case in many parts as she knows we are following the case. There are a few valid points like ability to have a fair trial now the case is well known and wanting to meet lawyers in person so that her phone calls are not overheard in jail.

What would happen if ALL the defense lawyer refuse to continue with the trial the way Adam's did. We all seen the fear in the judge when Adams refused to continue. So he holds them all in contempt then the Supreme Court would have no choice. The trial has been over for a while Steel, Adam's and Shardt are trying this case to the public in hopes that it looks so bad they will get an immediate Appeal. The judge is just dragging out the case so the defendants will do YEARS IN JAIL whether found guilty or innocent!
