Lol bit late here, but I modified a few ps5 controllers and I ordered the "origins of chaos" shell for another build. I obviously need to pay more attention when ordering parts because it was this style shell and I didn't even realize it. When I recieved it I was honestly confused and thought I ordered a shell for a different controller, but at the same time it looked like a ps5 controller shell. Hence why I looked up this video. Just finished it with a rise 4 back buttons kit and it turned out amazing! Another benefit of removing the trim piece is you don't have to buy another one to match the theme of the build if the black one doesn't go with it. May not seem like a big deal but they charge like 16 bucks for them, and when you want to do a completely custom build all the little "detail" parts like that add up ridiculously quickly. I'm honestly a huge fan and kinda wish I knew these were a thing when I did my other controllers!

Honestly I don't think it's that delicate, I just finished mine and pretty much yanked it off but everything seems to be working fine

Thank you bro! For the matte finish of the PS5 controller front shell, we found the soft touch or matte finish on the pattern series of it is fade or scratch easily, that's why we use the glossy. We are working on a new production method, trying to solve this problem.

@@nolifey It's not going smoothly frankly. Most soft-touch surface consumer electronics have the same problem except for deep colors like black or grey. 😥

We never tried but I assume they can't.

The Galactic Purple back buttons kit match the original purple of PS5 controller, but the color may be slightly different because we notice even the original purple PS5 controller have color difference in different batch.

your touchpad cable may loose, check both ends of the connections

We are working on LED kit, Clicky kit and 4 back buttons kit for the Edge, please stay tuned. The normal face clicky kit is not work on the Edge.

Your battery connection may got some issue, reopen it and reconnect the battery cable

I used a cheap hair dryer, like $10. All you need is a thing that makes the glue melt.
