“Poor Mary Elizabeth. Her bangs are devastated.” “So I put in my bumpit and I came to the graveyard.” “What about her McChicken? She hasn’t eaten for days.”🤣 😂😂😂😂 Watch “Malignant” ASAP.
@@LiirThropp2687 Agreed. Some of my faves that come to mind: “These stringy bangs are stressed.” “What are you gonna do? That sweater set ain’t gonna save you.” I know what you did last summer “This apron is still stalking her through the bricka-branches.” The Texas Chain Saw Massacre “Who owns the AirBnB? Is it that long titty golem?” Barbarian “Not Joni Mitchell!” Hereditary “And here you are hangin out like booboo the fool in this bush?!” Halloween
@@shakycam3 The Hereditary one made me bust out laughing. 😂 She was absolutely devastated by that movie and then the credits started playing that song. Too funny.
@twsarahh I think the first 2 are Slasher Films, but this one really starts the Camp, and it DOESNT DISSAPOINT! It played like a comedy in the theatre🤭.
Fun Fact: The blonde girl who died in the tanning bed was played by the same actress who was the little girl on the tricycle who was killed by Pennywise in the beginning of the 1990 version of Stephen King's "It".
Fun Fact 1: The production had a fair deal of money saved to where they had re-shot alternate scenes. These scenes were used in a dvd feature called Change Their Fates. This feature allowed the viewer to change parts of the movie. Ex: Right before the Vision, there was a coin toss where they called Heads in the main film. But if you picked for them to call Tails. It would change to where Wendy and co never even got on the roller-coaster which would have got them off Death's Plan.
The other was Ash and Ash’s alternate fate where Ashlyn got out of the tanning bed and was hit by the shelf, but woke up to free Ashley but the glass broke and they were both electrocuted while holding hands
It has always bothered me that the two girls who were yes, vapid and self involved but kind and well meaning get the worst deaths of the series and the complete pervert Frankie gets a gorey but instant death.
James A. Janisse from Dead Meat said he noticed a trend in horror movies between death and gender- men die more than women but their deaths are quick while women get the more drawn out deaths.
One of the best from the early 2000s!! That tanning bed scene is so iconic!! And I love that they make the popular girls Ashley and Ashlyn likable. Them feeling bad for Wendy after losing her boyfriend & best friend and even inviting her with them to try and cheer her up. It makes what happens to them even worse!!!
Fun fact: when this came out on DVD, it came with an interactive version called Choose their fate. It's just alternate deaths and outcomes. And in one of the scenes, We find out that Kimberly and Burke from the last film died via a broken wood chipper.
@@flippaclipanimations1933true but technically Kimberly and Burke are the only survivors because that part isn’t canon to the original film because we don’t see it in the theatrical version
No matter how much people insist their death isn't canon, to me it is. Just seems so cruel that everyone (specially Alex, Clear and Molly) died and only them both survived. Also, why did Kimberly survive and never tell anyone the rules of surviving? How would she not know the events of 3 and 4?
The way i just gasped when i saw this notification. It was like a scene from a movie, my fork clattered against my plate as i dropped it and i scrambled for my phone. 😭😭 Missed you gurll!!!! 💛
THE FACT YOU KNEW HUNTER FROM QUEER AS FOLK WAS IN THIS AS THE ROLLER COASTER ATTENDANT. No one else remembers that show so that made me smile haha. Great reaction as always
I agree, this is the prettiest FD (and the one that made many, many people afraid of tanning beds). It has a very crisp, vibrant, almost candy-coated at times look to it that carries over from the initial opening sequence / kill. As if the trauma of it is burned into the screen. Anyways, looking gorg as ever, Alanda!
Alanda, words cannot describe how much I adore that you know who Alexz Johnson is. I was obsessed with Instant Star when it was out and have all of Alexz Johnson's music. I have seen so many people react to this movie and no one knows who she is, so you just made my whole day.
I have to ask if people also remember her from So Weird. Because I was Team Fi all the way an did not give Annie the chance she deserved. But looking back she killed that role as well.
This movie scared me so much, every time I go to a theme park with a REALLY HIGH UP roller coaster, I pass while my friends get on. I’m like NOOOOOPE!!! It is a movie that has engrained itself into my mind forever. Hopefully you weren’t too traumatized by the opening premonition.
I learned from this movie: • The cast members on the roller coaster had to ride it 26 times on the same night in order to shoot the film's main premonition scene. •References to presidential assassinations include the name of the town and high school (McKinley), and the names of the subway stations (Booth and Oswald). The map in the subway shows Ruby Drive, 63rd, and Hidell stations. Oswald used the name "Alek J. Hidell" and was killed by Jack Ruby. Additionally, Abraham Lincoln's assassination is mentioned in the film. •The forklift that assists in Erin's death is called Unit 081. •Ashley and Ashlyn have "Ash" as shortened versions of their name. They both burn to death in tanning beds. The name of the salon is "Phoenix Tanning Salon". • The ending was reshot, reportedly because of unfavorable reactions at preview screenings. This also happened with the previous two films in the series. •Tony Todd provides the voice of the devil above the entrance to the roller coaster. He also provides the speaker's voice saying, "This is the end of the line" in the subway towards the end of the film. • Most of the roller coaster footage was filmed on the "Corkscrew" at Playland, part of the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver, British Columbia. The actual ride is much tamer and slower (only contains a double corkscrew inversion) compared to "Devil's Flight", which contains multiple vertical loops and multiple corkscrew sections. In order to achieve such a roller coaster, CGI was applied to the roller coaster set, which contained a hydraulic setup that mimic the actual roller coaster. • Ashley Tisdale auditioned for the role of Erin but lost. Vanessa Hudgens auditioned for the role of Julie, but lost to Amanda Crew. •In Japan, the film is renamed "Final Deadcoaster". • Ian's last name, the high school's name, and the town's name of McKinley all refer to President William McKinley, who was assassinated. •While in line at the drive-thru, a Hice Pale Ale truck backs into Kevin's car, which traps both he and Wendy in the car. The same Hice Pale Ale truck is also seen in Final Destination 2 (2003). • Alexz Johnson(Erin) is a Disney Star for her being the 3rd Season Protagonist in “So Weird”. Ryan Merriman (Kevin) is a Disney star for his movies “Smart House” , “The Luck of the Irish”, and “A Ring of Endless Light” Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Wendy) is a Disney star for. “Sky High” • After the roller coaster disaster, Ian is seen complaining to Erin about his last name also being the town's name (McKinley, Pennsylvania). He also write "Ian" over the school's name, which is also McKinley. Coincidentally, the sign that crushes him also has "McKinley" written on it, only this time, Ian is below his own surname.
The order that the characters were introduced part isn't true bc Frankie Cheeks was introduced after Lewis but he died right before. Also Julie and her friend were introduced before Ian and Erin but they die after.
@@rsvrsv92it’s actually referring to the picture clues because technically Frankie was introduced before Lewis in the background when Kevin took that picture of the camel. It’s more on the line of background introductions rather than actual voice introductions. It’s weird but that’s what i read
was the original movie it just ending after Ian dies and screen goes white? or do you mean train hitting Wendy was the ending (and her waking up from premonition was the reshoot)
I never clicked so damn fast. It feels like forever since you did a final destination reaction. This one by far is one of the best ones out of the franchise and one of my favorites. 3 and 5 are PEAK CINEMA!!! I'm stoked to see your face expressions and how tense you'll be during the brutal death scenes 😂
I've never understood the disagreement about who's sitting where. Anyone who's ever ridden a roller coaster knows that the back row is the scariest position. You get pulled down the hills because of gravity and you get lots more g force because the front of the coaster whips the back into turns/loops/drops
I’m screaming silently as my husband and toddler are sleeping oooooh the excitement 😁😁😁😁 the amount of times me and my sister still randomly sing “waste my time” instant star was iconic and does not receive enough love lol
I bet death was happy to get rid of everyone because they had to work overtime. Mary was saving people left and right I would be tired too.(Also they just released the trailer for the third movie in the X trilogy Maxxxine and give Mia and Oscar)
Starting my Thursday off RIGHT! Thank you Alanda! I'd love to see you watch some 80s/90s thrillers, like Fatal Attraction or Hand That Rocks the Cradle! Your perspectives would bring me LIFE
This has to be one of my favorite movies of all time. I remember when it first came out and I saw it when I was 6 years old. I had no business watching this at that age 😅
You are one of the best reactors on RU-vid! You always edit so that the plot and dialogue makes sense, and your commentary is witty and funny, without ever disturbing the pace nor the story! Would love to see a reaction from you on Ghost (1990) with Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. Think it could be right up your ally!
I like how In each of the pictures it shows the death and small subtle hints to what contributes to the deaths and how they will look when they die. Jason’s picture shows the roller coaster behind him flying fast and off the track. Carrie’s picture with the stuffed animals looked like she was holding on to the shoulder restraints and the lights in the background look like she was on a fast ride. Ashley and Ashlyn’s picture looked like they were on fire and the palm tree prize they win at the carnival resembles the palm tree that knocks the shelf down and traps them. When Ian is pointing the gun at Erin and she covers her face from the flash, the nail gun literally kills her with her hand to her face. Kevin had that squished bright face look as he was suppose to die by the grill explosion but since Wendy intervened, he dies with the same expression on the subway. Julie’s picture has the horse and Perry in the picture has the American flag behind her like it was going through her. Wendy’s picture shows 2 ways she would’ve died. First was the McKinley shirt showing that she was gonna die being crushed by the McKinley sign but because Ian blocked her, he took her spot. 2 is the dark background like in the tunnels showing she would die alone since Jason went first and her shirt has the McKinley decal with the orange line as the train with the M looking like the front of the subway and the blurred face was the speed of the train. I love watching for stuff. Hopefully it won’t take long to watch the rest
A few alternate scenes included in the "Choose Your Fate" edition on the DVD: One of the girls actually manages to get out of the tanning bed and tries to save the other but when she grabs the other's hand, they both get electrocuted to death. When Mary Elizabeth and Ryan Merriman go to warn Texas Battle about his fate, his head immediately gets crushed by the weights when they walk in instead of the longer scene with him Frankie Cheeks lives but he gets whiplash and threatens to sue. You eventually see him again getting arrested for something perverted. A text comes on the screen after that says "Was Frankie worth saving?" And you choose Yes or No At the end when goth kid catches up with Mary and Ryan at the 4th of July party, part of the thing that crushes him smashes his whole body instead of half of him and the survivors walk away and the camera opens by itself and flashes to a black screen and the credits roll
Yassssss. ONE OF THE BEST BIRTHDAY WEEK GIFTS...My best friend in my head POSTED LOVE YOU ....WISH YOU POSITIVE LIGHT AN BLESSINGS & CAN'T WAIT UNTIL the next paranormal activity
Few things bring my heart more joy like new Alanda Parker! And this Final Destination run feels oddly LONG overdue! I'm surprised this franchise hasn't been featured before, but WHO CARES?? It's solid gold, and I'm here for it!!! Thank you again, Alanda!
The fact that you mentioned Hunter from QAF! I love that show so much. It first aired when I was 12 and I watched the entire thing with my uncle as the episodes came out. I still have the dvd collection. And watch it almost every year. Also, I really love your reactions.
Watching this on DVD was awesome with the Choose Their Fate feature. Love the Instant Star shoutout btw lol. I was so excited to see her in this back then. 💕
the fact you talked about Alexz Johnson and instant star (and also hayley williams, who's my favorite singer) made me so so happy. anyway, i'll keep watching the reaction
I just commented the same thing! That show seems like a fever dream because I don't think anyone in the U.S. even knows it existed. I have all of her songs in rotation too! Jude Harrison fans rise up.
To add on to some fun facts in the comments, Cory Monteith also had a cameo towards the end as one of the guys Julie and her friends are talking to when Kevin tries to warn them they’re next.
Alanda serving entertainment, as usual. Can't wait for your reaction to FD4 and, specially, FD5! I kinda wish Wendy never got in that rollercoaster but had her vision nonetheless. It'd be quite tragic seeing her desperately trying to save everybody, while her life was never really in danger, just to lose all of them in the end. Imagine living with that kind of survivor's guilt for the rest of your life...
