That speaks volumes - they completely broke him. And to think he was seperated from his siblings after being rescued because of the accusations Ruby and Jodi made. They are nothing but evil and I pray that he is able to recover mentally from this 😢

What makes it so much worse is knowing that he already tried to escape once and that failed attempt resulted in them increasing the torture. That must have been looming over his head the entire time he was fleeing to that neighbor's house. But at the same time he had to know he was dying or at least in such physical and mental pain that he risked it to save himself and his sister. The whole thing makes me sick. No child should have to suffer that or be put in a situation where they have to make such desperate choices. Especially not because of a person who should have protected them.

It’s even scarier IF the family is supporting Ruby bc they don’t think what she did was that bad (bc THEY did it as well: generationally etc). So unwell. But we do know that abuse IS cyclical.

I don't think her sisters are aware of what she actually did. I don't think they knew of detailed charges. Once they know, they may different.

Ruby was smiling at Beau, her brother. Julie did smile at her as she was leaving, but neither of the parents acknowledged her. I believe they may have been there for the children and not Ruby. Bonnie and Ellie were not there.

If they are supporting her I doubt it's because they don’t think what she did was that bad because they did it as well. The family has issues but I can't see them thinking that holding a child's head underwater, smothering them with your hands and starving them is not that bad. Maybe the other horrific things she did to her children but not attempted murder.

Also to make sure nothing else comes up. Because we all know there is way worse yet to be uncovered.

She must hate her children to be able to do what she did. She is definitely only sorry she got caught, not for what she did.

It’s crazy how Kevin got off with everything and knowingly leaving his children in an abusive household, but still chose to leave his children and waiting until this all happened and it could’ve all been prevented if he only had taken them out of that household

Don’t think they are there to support her. They want to know what’s going on. Her sisters that have RU-vid channels have clearly said they don’t want anything to do with her. Ruby has lied and caused many problems in the family over the years.

@@greysfreak1992yes I agree they need to get RID of all of them. We need laws to protect children and no photos on the internet until they’re 18 years old to consent themselves. I get so much pushback from family because I won’t post pictures of my child and I don’t have the right to. But people see dollar signs in the family channel space they don’t see their child as a human just monetary gain.

The sisters are manipulative af. They have no problem speaking out and defending THEMSELEVES for selfish reasons and then in the same breath say they won’t be talking about it. @@christined4842He didn’t just bail and become a dead beat dad, he knew how crazy Jody was and her program, how much things were escalating (by his own admission) and left because he was following Jody’s advice/program. He was fully indoctrinated in it, there is a big difference. Only someone completely lacking intellect would buy his whole sob story about about being alienated, having no involvement and just the victim. One single phone call for a wellness check would have saved these kids from months of torture.

Don't forget Jody's involvement. They're all guilty, including her sisters for not reporting the abuse (if they knew, and i think they did). Poor babies. God bless them.

Literally multiple sisters with kids and none of them stepped up to help. I can't imagine! I'd step in immediately and fight. We all know at least 2 sister have a ton of money so court fees is nothing to them.

Yep and bc it’s their “religious beliefs” etc My mother abused me. If I ever even looked at my child wrong my mom came to their defense. That’s how you know the entire family has not changed and shares similar beliefs.

My mother and father abused me and they too would say “ I experienced much worse. What do you expect me to do?” Um.. Not continue the cycle of abuse? If it was that bad for them, why continue it? I cant imagine hurting my children the way most of these “parents” do. They see these kids as money tickets. First, way back when, kids would work in mines and factory’s. Yeah, tiktok and RU-vid isn’t “that bad” but you can make it worse. Especially when predators are online.

I had never heard of them or some others before DCP. In this case, I'm interested in seeing justice come forth. Other than that reason for watching some of these videos about this family, I wouldn't have known who any of those people were behind her, or their reasons for being there. I was actually watching her and her attorney, and Josh, not those behind them. Especially in high profile cases like this, there are all kinds of people there to observe the process, located in different areas of the courtroom, and they're not all there to support the defendant. It's not like a wedding where everyone in support of a particular side typically sits directly behind them. This time the family was located there, but that's not always the case. A reasonable conclusion about the family's stance on all this cannot be made based solely on "everything you can see" in the very limited court video footage shown here.

No. I think they were afraid if it went to trial her childhood would be brought up and that they discussed with her how it could damage the entire family and the ones living on youtoube revenue would lose alot. They probably told her if she took the plea they'd come to the court dates. This is what I think. It's saving themselves. All of them.

Do you remember that Canadian Karla something who took a plea deal after murdering several young teenage girls excluding her little sister in exchange for testifying against her husband. She got away with serial murder. She got like only 12 years or something. And actually raised children after she got out.

If there wasn’t a plea, the children would be asked to testify per Emily D Baker on RU-vid. As much as Ruby deserves everything coming to her, making the children go through in detail what happened to them in front of court will not help them. They need therapy and help in moving past this. And hopefully ruby never has access to her children again.

@@louwinters508yep and they let her change her name, have three kids and she volunteers in their school. Canada is just as f***ed when it comes to the law. Even in self defence we can get criminally charged for defending ourselves.

There will be no jury just sentencing

if they did promise her that and didn’t include it in this plea then it’s contempt.

They also take into account the harm she did to the kids. Even without a criminal record she can still get a harsher sentence because of the emotional damage done to the children but I believe it’ll be light 7 years isn’t enough but I won’t be surprised 💔

I just have a feeling her taking a plea she won’t get more than a year. Jodi may get 5-8 years but I don’t see Ruby getting more than 2. The purpose of the guilty plea is to get reduced sentencing, also taking into account Jodi’s past and proof of Jodi doing this before, rubys expensive lawyer, the detailed abuse she claimed on her plea in her own words, they’ll apply time served and deduct some of the charges even more when sentencing if they can prove the charges that stuck were weighing more on Jodi’s guilt than rubys. I hate it but I unfortunately have some exp and I’ve been in court cases as a kid where a proved child rapist only received 5 years. So idk. I hope I’m wrong but I know the system: it doesn’t care about kids unfortunately. Esp in the fine and sometimes invisible lines of “religious discipline” in Utah.

Honestly, this case can go either way. There’s no way to predict for sure one way or another. I hope the publicity of this case plays a role in the judge making an example out of her. Sick and twisted monster deserves to be effed up in prison and disgraced and excommunicated from her family and socials. I’m particularly worried about the 2 middle daughters that didn’t get the severity of this abusive treatment. They appear to be brainwashed and believe ruby is innocent and Ruby definitely has her claws sunken in to manipulate them further. I can see them attempting to visit Ruby in prison once they are of age.

And so many followed the Connexions crap. I wonder what those people are thinking. Some of those children have surely been abused as well. It's so sad.

You haven't seen anything yet. Please check out the recent trial of Shonda Van Der Ark, who was found guilty of abuse and murder of her 15 yr old autistic son. So much torture, deprived of food and water, ice baths, just a horrible situation. These women seem to get a thrill out of enforcing pain on their children.
