At first glance, I think it's a good idea even if it's just for damages, imagine having to replace the whole unit because the controls were broken

They connect to a battery holder that communicates to the main unit wirelessly. It's big but they weren't able to copy Nintendo exactly 😅 . My young kids use the switch in the car using a head rest holder so this OneXplayer 2 would fit great for Steam/Xbox game pass games and roblod on long road trips. My kids have already taken over my SteamDeck, GPD devices and OneXplayer Mini Pro. I have some extra RTX 3070s lying around from crypto mining so I can connect an eGPU to the USB 4 for at home. The controller would then be used a lot but yes, why not just use an Xbox controller...I think for the car it's one less massive controller x 2 to bring along in my opinon

@@FollowMe4REP No? This is a Windows PC. Its form factor allows it to take up less space than a laptop and still easily be converted to a full-fledged gaming setup if needed. Windows is not used only for gaming. What does your last sentence even mean?

I use my Rokid Air glasses with the OneXplayer Mini Pro. Are you using something similar? I also have a one handed mouse wheel that works awesome while using the glasses.

Hori Split Pad Pro fixes the ergonomics issue. I can't play with joycons unless I use my Zen Grip. Unfortunately for these other handhelds, there's nothing available to change the ergonomics.

I recently spent £1100 on a new laptop that can run unity. This is absolute trash.

No company can steal nintendo's idea and become successful over it no matter how much better graphics it has, at the end of the day, it's not Nintendo. Non of these consoles are selling. It's good to do your own thing instead of copying someone else. What works for one company mite work for others

@@redcrimson1028 I disagree. I think the Steam Deck and, possibly, the upcoming Asus Rog Ally are both definitively better handhelds than the Switch, thanks to emulation obviously. Their downside is their price obviously, but other than that, they’re better.

They've changed the design because the angle of the stick orientation causes problems. OneNet are still working on a more vertical middle attachment and looking to release it in June.

It costs so much because it's literally a computer... The switch is running on like an 8 year old tablet processor...

@@sparkypack yes, I got a steam deck and I've had so many issues with it. Sometimes the thing powers off and displays nothing for hours.

@@sparkypack basically this, the performace though is terrible, on newer games and even older ones like spidernan , firespoken the deck cannot cut it, you need to put it on low with fsr on 30fps and at that point it looks a bit worse than one of the various korean mobile gatcha games. Also the fan noise, terrible.

This thing, the Steam Deck, Rog Ally isn't competition to Nintendo at all, it's a copycat! A wanna be switch and that's why non of these handhelds are successful. If thr mote powerful steam deck flopped and failed to compete against the switch, what makes u think this will succeed? The only thing these wannabe handhelds has proved to me ist that Nintendo has the best idea and everybody wants a piece of the pie. Everybody wants to be a switch but nobody wants to be a switch! Get it ? Lol

I’ll stick with my switch and steam deck one thing I love about the deck is the constant updates and support for they system as the Ally and all these other like systems the company pumps out the device and that’s it on their end and you’re normally left to fix it yourself hope the community does or Microsoft makes a patch in windows but asus ain’t doing anything they’re moving on to their next device

@@RaxonXVI I've already got a Steam Deck but don't use it much. More keen on the Ally as it's Windows based.

@@RaxonXVI I won't. But as it is using Windows rather than Linux and a custom OS, it shouldnt really need much support. It's (apparently) going to cheap enough that its certaintly worth a punt. I'll just sell it if it's no good.

@@cjlister8508 I’d imagine it’ll be just like the other windows gaming handhelds just a little cheaper (not cheap enough tho imo so it’s really not gonna make a dent in the market) so if you like those you’ll probably like this but for the most part I dont (I’ve had a couple before) just a huge waste of money from my experience they’re not well optimized really (especially compared to something like the steam deck) and there’s no support at all (just general updates from windows and that’s it nothing dedicated to make that device better just one size fits all updates for windows itself) but you do you just really research into it and make sure it’s what you want because how it launches will be how it is till it breaks down years from now (depending on how well you take care of it you know) but the deck gets custom updates because valve can focus on it because it’s just the one device as windows has to be generic for hundreds of thousands of different system setups

And they all will fail inevitably. I mean like the main selling point of switch was never the portability. Portability is a nice feature but with switch it's more about versatility rather than portability and that's where every other switch competitor will come up short. I know no other console that is this versatile : It can be docked and played on TV, you could play with motion controls, you can play in handheld mode, you can play in tabletop mode with friends, you can link them together easily, you can create your own mini arcade machine, you can turn it into a digital pinball machine, you can play arcade in tate mode. a lot of people have switches alongside their ps5, xbox and or gaming pcs. None of these portable gaming pcs are this versatile and fun, it's just your computer in a smaller form factor.

this one looks like the one ALIENWARE was going to release. Showed it on e3 many years ago. Never got released. Knowing ALIENWARE it would of been way more money.
