Oh yay, it's my comprehensive plus sizes lolita doc! For anyone wondering, I try update it every month (ish) and was contributed to by my comm, so if any links are dead or you have anything to add, please LMK :)

Lolibrary is super helpful for me as a plus-sized person because they include the measurements for each size of releases! It's super useful when shopping for secondhand pieces online, I can look them up and see if they'll fit my measurements before buying.

I remember when I first started wearing lolita, everything I knew came from either livejournal or the fyeahlolita blog. It would be nice to know who wrote the lolita youtubers database, going by the names on there it looks like there's been a lot more great channels started since it was probably last updated!

Everytime you feature Dollbe, I get so happy. I own like, 10 of her dresses by this point because they all fit so well. Sure the inside isn't lined but they're really comfortable and fit me 'off the rack' without having to request a custom sizing.

I have been a member of the brazilian lolita community since 2006-2007 and we were so active online in the 2010's, but over time we kind of started building friendships in smaller groups (based on other interests aside from lolita) and I noticed we had less and less online activity. However, we are having a National Meeting this year (first one after the pandemic) and I'm still deciding either to go or not. This video made me excited to meet new lolitas again! Thank you so much for this! ♥

A little while back I decided that I was going to make a scrapbook of all of my Lolita dresses and lolivarary has been a huge help 😄

In my experience, lolita discord is extremely active! I'm in like, 7 different lolita discord servers and it my main way of interacting with it online! There's a general lolita server ( which I left because it was too active and stressed me out) the lolita mentoring server, the sewing collective, BAK, lolibrary, a couple of RU-vidr's servers and 2 local comms lol. Some of them do take a while to give ppl access because the mods are busy and have to vet everyone

What a coinkydink, I was actually working on a Lolita 101 panel with my comm for a local con and this has been actually really useful! Because sometimes it gets so tiring regurgitating the same info over and over, especially to normies who want to know what tf we're doing in the middle of a meet

Omg, just used my Wii fit yesterday! Glad to know I'm not the only one loving it~

Now, I feel really old because before I stumbled upon the LiveJournal community, I used to be on a BBS-type website called LolitaSnap which was a very active and very international community where you could post your coords and have them rated by your peers , kind of like dating sites of old, but it also had a forum and a FAQs section, and another one called Himitsu Nihon Niwa which was a more private community consisting mainly of American expats living in Japan and partaking in meetings and events in Harajuku and stuff. And then, after a while, I discovered a local community on LJ and I am still friends with a lot of people I met through there almost 20 years ago, now. That's pretty amazing now that I look at it, that I'm still into the fashion after all these years; some of my friends have branched out into other styles, some have joined the kimono wearing club my sister is part of because she's studied in Japan and is now a shamisen teacher trying to promote Japanese culture in Québec; some friends have left the fashion for a while, but came back to it. I guess you could say I'm a lifestyle-loli because I have dragged my son along to meets and he's also still friends with a lot of people we met through my local community and I have to admit I used him as an "ouji accessory " at times. Nowadays, he's all grown up and not into Lolita, but he introduced the style to one of his former girlfriends and he enjoys having customized clothing and fashion even though it clashes with his other, more "typical male" interests and I think meeting all these new type of people made him more broadminded and accepting of people's individuality and differences to grow in that environment in comparison to if I'd just made him stay in my little country hometown. I hope we will also transmit those values to his sons, now that he has two of his own. Is Granny Lolita a thing? Maybe I should look into developing that substyle, now! :P But all in all, thank you for taking the time to look up all these resources and sharing them with us, it's always useful to stay updated because a lot of changes is always going on in the fashion and not all of us have the time to keep up to date with all the new indie brands and online stores and controversies and the new "leaders" and influencers. I really enjoy how much you work to create more bonds within the international community. Keep up the good work, Lor; you're doing the world a lot of good! DFTBA!

It is great to see so many resources in one video. Thank you! There does seem to be one resource not tackled yet.... where to find lolita style shoes for ladies with large, wide feet. Regular ballet flats are boring, have thin soles, and aren't really meant for extensive walking. Jazz or tap shoes for dance don't have the right look. I can buy or sew a beautiful dress, but have been procrastinating putting together coordinates because of the inability to find footwear.

My local comm has a discord server for comm members who don't use Facebook, I also know there are old school discord servers too, I think the servers overall may just be more hit and miss.

One time I asked a Lolita Reddit (years ago) about favorite items or specific accessory they enjoy ( as a jump off for a character i was making). I didn’t get any genuine answers the one I got was basically saying don’t or do the resurch yourself by looking up specific lolita’s social media. Im not in the community or someone who wears Lolita but I admire the fashion. It was kinda sad I wanted to hear what items i might not have thought of. (Especially considering sweet or gothic are the most prevalent and I was interested in more “neiche” items exist out their) Anywhooo hearing that the Reddit is active i might repost my question with a bit more explaining that I’m not going to just mishmash DX
