J. Ramanan and Vrinda Ramanan take you along on their journeys through two incredibly beautiful regions, at the two edges of the Indian Himalaya. First to the Pemako region in Arunachal Pradesh - to the East of Northeast, where the Himalayas begin, to have a glimpse of the peaks of Namche Barwa and Gyala Beri. And then onto Barafsar (4,605m), the highest alpine lake in the North Western part of the Himalaya in Kashmir.
The intrepid couple, trained at the prestigious NIM, have been trekking and climbing in the high altitudes of the Himalaya for the past 45 years. J. Ramanan is an architect, photographer and exhibitor, while Vrinda is a Bharatha Natyam dancer. Together they have authored many books and are currently working on a coffee table book ‘The Mountains of Our Destiny - The Indian Himalaya’. This webinar is a preview of this book.
