Waste of money buying any new drone in the UK/Europe until it comes manufactured with a C classification for the new EASA rules, which just yesterday have been put back from their implementation date of 1st July 2020 by "a couple of months" [Source CAA Skywise]

Sensors are a pain in the arse for a pilot with over a modicum of skill. If you are aware and experienced, there’s no need. Reduce the weight and add items from its big brother’s repertoire.. I’ve got an Air, a Mini and a Yuneec Q500 4K (which is a beast now compared with the others).. Not being a professional film maker, the smaller DJI drones have everything I’ll ever need.. When the Air 2 is released, I’ll probably buy it, what else have we got to spend our cash on?

I wasn't expecting a new Mavic Air..especially now but here we are. Will be interested to see what specs it actually has when released.

I 1000% agree with you....my stomach aches with disappointment. DJI is throwing a pieced out bone together and they want to see how many people actually goes for it... like buy them.... I'm not a fool DJI... I know exactly where you are going with this....if fans of DJI and I mean a mass of fans buy this drone then DJI knows they can put anything together and the mass would buy them...

I’ve recently got a parrot ANAFI superb drone 2-3x optical lossless zoom lots of features simple to set up can’t fault it. apart from no optical avoidance but that doesn’t bother me😌

I did just sell a Mavic pro with extras for £450 this week. Can not say I would buy the new Mavic air 2 as only just brought the old one at start the year. The control on the Mavic air 2 looks a bit on the big side and the drone itself looks bigger than the old one. Main reason for me getting the Mavic air was the size. Richard

Should you sell your Mavic Air?...Yes Should you buy a Mavic Air?..No.. I sold mine 6 months after buying it. There were too many problems with signal loss and image Drop Outs. It was vulnerable to signal interference. However, it did have some good points. The anticollision sensors were very good. Flight range over clear and open areas was excellent and almost 2 miles with Return To Home. Lastly, it was Beast, especially in Sports Mode at nearly 50 MPH. Should you buy the new Mavic Air II with OccuSync? YES.. That upgrade alone, would bring it to performance levels of the Mavic Pro series. Would I buy it ..hmm Very Tempting proposition there..?

When are we going to get a decent new drone? Mavic 3? Phantom 5?

Unless the Air 2 has a significantly better camera and connectivity it will be hard for me to justify upgrading from my Air. 💯🤷🏽‍♂️ It's a great all around drone 👍🏽👌🏽

If I were to get a Mavic Air 2 or 1 for that matter. The smart controller would have to be able to fly it...

It sounds like all they have made is the original Mavic Pro smaller and called it a Mavic Air 2!!!

Not Rumored? according to reputable source DroneDJ, FCC has listed the Mavic Air 2 in database. I would not dismiss DJI would anticipate that US consumers would use the Stimulus Money to purchase a new drone since the stimulus package is paid to all citizens of which many that are into tech are probably having jobs still and could use the money to spend indescrimitly. Maybe not the wise thing to do, but for many, they just have to have the new shiny penny when something new is introduced.

With having a mavic2 pro or zoom is there really a need for a mavic air 2 🤷 honestly I don't think so. IMO

A PAN what? 🤒🤧😷 Maybe someone needs to remind DJI !🤔 I just don’t see a need for an air 2...we have the mini now. Unless this air is the all singing, all dancing, go anywhere, do everything thing, it’s a bit pointless. For me it would need to do everything the spark, air and mini can do, plus have a 4K 1 inch sensor and come with voice control! Of course we are talking about a market leader here, that needs to get its company up and running again, so maybe it will be amazing and there will be a pandemic to get one!😂

I am more interested in Autel Evo 2 series, Especially the dual 🤯 at the moment, hopefully it will be a affordable price and not silly money.

I love my Mavic Air, but I'm prohibited to fly it anywhere remotely interesting, so i consider it one of the biggest missbuys i ever did. But i love this little bugger and won't split.

Oh well pass for me , I’ve got a mini , I have a pro 2 . Most of all better things to spend money on right now , especially as most of us aren’t at work earning money. Unfortunately the virus that started in China is the reason we cant afford a drone from China 😗 stay safe 👍
