The converse is also true. I know a very attractive, successful man that recently admitted that he sometimes struggles with depression. I warmed to him much more because of that.

My insecurity I’m over weight. I’ve been single for years and I’ve told myself that when I lose weight I’ll be more comfortable to start dating. But TODAY I will rid myself of that bad energy and never tell myself that I don’t deserve love because of my weight. I will attract my mate at the size I am now and I will lose weight because I want to.

Yes Girl. Me overweight too, I feel like no one will ever want me,MY ENTIRE LIFE . Just put yourself out there. I start online dating couple months a go, and only get good feedback and meet nice people.

The JESSIE D Techniques my insecurity is I am overweight too. I agree loose weight because you want to. I’m loosing weight mainly for my health. When I was young I was thin and pretty. It’s not all that it’s cracked up to be. Someone will always criticise you know matter what you look like.

I'm happy you've come to that realization. I truly hope you keep that momentum going and continue to believe in your value. I"ve been telling myself that for 5 years now. While I have a personal trainer now, and my goal once to be realized until next May, I'm finding success. It comes from making that conscious decision that I am worth the investment whatever that might be. I feel good about me, not for losing weight, but for committing to a lifestyle that is going to let me live longer, and has shown me that this determination and integrity carry into my other personal and professional aspirations. Fuck yea man!!

Kit Kitren did you even listen to the actual words he's saying or are you just trolling because of the tittle of the video and some need for attention. I really do invite you to listen to it because what he is saying is exactly what you are trying to comunicate but with less violent questioning. He says you know what? Just fucking be you and accept who you are today and own it and fuck the rest of the world and the need to finger point. He invites of all as to stop justifying who we are and what we do and just be present and let it all out there. The critics, the pointing, the questioning is negative energy we should learn to stop from making us insecure and self destructive. So there, that's your answer and is exactly why this video is ok.

I actually surprised myself towards the end of this video. When he prompted us to share a physical insecurity, I couldn't think of one. Not because I'm perfect. But because I've been working on my insecurity long enough to stop seeing parts of myself as "bad", but rather to just see them as "mine". I care more about the person I am inside than outside. This obviously isn't a cure all, but I think more people should adopt this way of thinking.

It's good to know that not only me are alone or feeling lonely (both parents passed away, no siblings, no life partner, very few close friends). Other people might be feeling the same despite having families and friends surrounded.

I’m dating for the first time since I was a teenager. My husband left last June, and while I’m much happier than I’ve been in years; I’m incredibly self-conscious about putting myself out there. I’m a 40-year-old college student, a mom to 3 teens, and a plus-size woman. I’m also legally blind and can’t drive after dark, so sometimes I feel I have too many things working against me.
@AZ-su1zg
@AZ-su1zg 3 года назад
yeah but youre still an awesome human and plus size is also attractive (as fuck). people in that age group more so expect people to have kids anyway. I am 28 and it I already have younger friends who either have a kid or date a person with a kid or kids. andddddd it just means you have a sexy curfew to abide by;) I think the fact that you feel your happiest ever is not only super attractive but also means you have soooo much potential in so many different meanings of the word! and, eevn when I get out of a 1-2 year serious relationship, I too feel self-conscious about putting myself out there. I am alays afraid I'll end up with some douche who doesn't compare to my ex, but those douchebags are just the practice rounds to help me figure out my dating strategies. try lunch time dates and coffee dates for starters!!!! or walks and picnics in public/touristy areas because quarantine.

I went on a date with a man who wasn't the right fit for me. He wanted to hook up that day, and I declined. I later respectfully declined to see the man again because I could tell that he didn't have integrity and the kind of character I was looking for in a partner. He messaged me and said, "adios, chubby." Really? I'm not petite, but I always considered myself average and toned. But his 'chubby' played over and over in my head. I'm taking back my power today! I'm so thankful I walked away from that guy after the single date. He will not steal my confidence. I am more than a single part...I'm a whole and worth far more than that man could see. I take back my confidence and power, right now! Thanks, Matthew for your helpful encouragement.

I understand you and it makes total sense. What I have learned is that being scared and doing it anyway is what works best...And how do you do this in real life? Leaders, people with great communication skills, great attitude and amazing capacity to take over in any circumstances, they don't know it all either, but they know that nobody knows it all, so they use what they have, exactly where they are, right away. They make this a habit, so they never allow themselves to overthink things. And the interesting thing you come to realize is that the fear and discomfort soon become fuel for passionately being more of who you really are. You can lead even when you are really bad at something. Let me give you an example, a very physical one, one that doesn't just talk about the fear caused by overthinking, but also about the true danger it can cause: I am scared of water, don't get me wrong, I love water, I am a piscean astrologically speaking, but there was a time when I was sooo scared of possibly drowning that my brain would get completely numb. However, I went to swimming classes several times in my life, and once I almost drowned. Yup! Not because of my physical condition(i am a fitness trainer), or because I didn't know how to swim, but because I was overthinking constantly, I couldn't be 100% present, I would constantly think of the possibility of losing my cool in the water and not knowing what to do...But those were also some of the most beautiful days in my life, cause I could feel everybody's support to the point where I became the strongest there, my fear never really left, but I got to learn how to stay focused in the moment and swim like a pro even if I was actually scared. Everybody else thought I was so great, I became the example, they all wanted to know how I could conquer my mind, nobody could see beyond my courage and skill...but I knew at the end of the day that it was both: courage and fear working together. So...it makes no sense to think of things that make no sense...Just do the things you love and always remember that you must do those things that scare you in particular, cause those are the ones that take down your inner "China walls", your biggest boundaries, the fixed ideas you have built within, knowingly or unknowingly. I believe life is not about learning/adding to, but more about constantly undressing ourselves to the point of absolute vulnerability....and about being comfortable with all of it. Freedom is not about knowing it all, but about accepting that we never get to know it all in this universe where everything is constantly expanding in utter interdependence. Freedom is a deep understanding and acceptance of the fact that control is just an illusion, a mind game...this mind game, of course, mirrors itself in many ugly ways in our surrounding environment. Therefore... one cannot gain, nor lose control, one can only change perception, abort a game all together(any mind game) and focus on a more constructive layer of life or at least on more positive possible outcomes. As Wayne Dyer used to say: "when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change". I should stop ranting...they say we always speak what we need to hear anyway, not what others want and need... so maybe i'm only talking for myself 😷😋...However, hope you're having a great time these days, sending good vibes your way!🙂🤗

GinaG u might have an overly sensitive personality as i do, we feel the good and the bad too strongly, we might think we are depressesd, but we are not, we just feel more strongly than others do, our inner worlds are a bit deeper than other's, and we tend to get lost in it at times. But i tend to enjoy those deep gloomy feelings specially after i knew i was a highly sensitive person. U can look this up and if u feel its true for u as well it can help u alot because it did for me 🤷🏼‍♀️ best wishes.

The imperfection of this video is what makes it perfect. I like how you put it out there unedited "keeping with the theme." My insecurities can depend on my attitude that day, who I'm with, how I think they may judge me and how much importance I assign their opinions. It's not always the same insecurities. As time goes on I care less and less about being judged. I give myself the grace I need and am not waiting for other's approval. I don't need permission to like me or to be happy. Thank you Matthew Hussey and Jameson.

I have not come across a person with more common sense than you lately and wanted to commend you for that. Your advice is genuine and helpful. It actually makes you think, which is so much better than any other coach out there! (I have seen a few really good ones, and the subjects were mostly business and self-education, but I have seen a couple in your area, too. Nowhere near as clear as you.) Insecurities? I have held myself to a certain standard in life: I have always lived with an open heart and achieved real connections. Didn't always lead to happily ever after, but I gave my all: honest, sincere, brave, without holding back. Far from me being perfect, but the love I have to give is pure. To me it has always been about making a real connection, I have not concentrated on anything physical - like a big nose - to ever hold me back on expressing my character and personality. Who knows, maybe it's because of the big nose! But I love it. Never ever wished to change it in my life.... Even now sounds weird saying it, as it doesn't bother me one slightest bit, but I wanted to honour your request (even though I am late to the party) and respond with all sincerity. :D Wishing you all the best and everyone who is listening to your advice, too. Katarina :)

This video is really motivating to me, and just what I needed to hear. I've had a stressful couple of weeks and my skin is the worst it's ever been... I'm breaking out all over my face and I have eczema on my eyelids and my cheeks are all rough and dry, and all I want is to make an impression on my coworker but it's proving to be really difficult to be around him since we haven't had a shift together for a week and I have no idea what to think. Right before watching this I was thinking about how I looked yesterday when I saw him, and was almost cringing because my skin probably looked absolutely terrible. But the way you talked about owning your flaws and just being open about it really gave me a new perspective on the situation and I actually feel okay. Thank you so much. I'm gonna go ahead and watch more of your videos because your intellect and even just the way you speak calms me down

darkfawn A guy I was dating recently had also just had a very stressful time and had psoriasis all over his face and his body. He goes to hospital three times a week for treatment and has a light thingy he puts his face in for twenty minutes three times a week at home. He had it when I met him and he was and still is super hot! I wouldn't change it on him even if he would. There is something deeper that draws me too him despite him being self conscious about it. I don't even notice it and I don't care about it either. Good luck with your guy :)

darkfawn That's really beautiful. Also, eczema is often actually an allergic reaction to wheat/gluten. When I take out gluten, my eczema goes away. So, I keep gluten out, as you can imagine. But when I do eat it, the next day I get eczema under my eyes. So, there a trick. You can be free! (And still own yourself) Love.

Matthew- thank you so much for putting this beautiful, authentic video out. I love what you said about power- acknowledging your own imperfections but going out and unapologetically making it happen. It’s not that you are impervious- it’s a conscious decision to settle into your beingness and not justify. Yaaass!! Interestingly, as a surgeon and doctor, I held this space for other women, but did not for myself. But your words really impacted me. As a professionally trained dancer, body perfection was huge. But a career in medicine/surgery and denying myself self-care, mistakenly thinking service was giving myself wholly to my patients all the time created a big fat stress belly I am mortified by. Despite getting positive comments on my videos- “you’re gorgeous, you’re this, you’re that”- I never believe any of it. I’ve been watching your videos and realizing- oh my gosh- this childhood friend of mine has been giving me these attraction signals for over 20 years, since our teens- and I just block him, even though I love him deeply and am deeply attracted to him in ways words can’t describe. It’s a soul thing. We are both single. Surprise surprise. I am going to accept myself. I’ve gotta be attracted to myself first. Whether he and I end up together is immaterial. It’s about my relationship with myself. Thank you for what you are doing. You are a healer and are a bright light making a difference in the world. And if you’ve actually read this long bulemic purge of my thoughts, then thank you for your time!

By far my biggest insecurity is my skin. Luckily, the skin on my face is nice, but the skin on the rest of my body is highly sensitive, and I break out in rashes very easily. It's to the point where I am not comfortable in tank tops, much less a bathing suit. But I will not let it control my happiness anymore. I am not my flaws. And my flaws will not control me.

This is my absolute favorite video that I have ever seen you and Jameson create, Matthew. I can't even explain to you the different levels that this message spoke to me. I love that you chose to make this a raw and unedited video. This expanded on your message to "practice what you preach." Absolutely brilliant, mate! This is the video that I needed to see today. This video was created and posted 4 years ago, but I found this video through RU-vid suggestion on this exact day at the moment that I needed it. I know you were focusing on the physical insecurities, but today, I was dealing with my insecurity about the way I feel about the way my life is going right now. This insecurity was sparked due to looking at an old high school classmate's FB page because it was her birthday today. I looked on her page just to see what was going on in her life. I became jealous of her confidence, her wit, and her intellect after viewing some of her videos that she creates for a bookstore/bar/ music venue. I felt like, "I wish I could be on the same level of influence and knowledge, but I'm not super great, or knowledgeable, in an specific subject to create, or to step onto, a platform. I'm really lagging behind in my social and intellectual growth." I was just bombarded with negative thoughts about myself. Instead of protecting myself from others affecting my energy, I inflicted the damage to myself from within. It's been a journey for myself to figure out how to love myself as I should. But, anyway... *** Although I'm more hung up on my outward social insecurities right now, my physical insecurity would about to be that I'm not in the best physical shape right now...I'm probably 15 pounds over weight. It's not a detrimental amount, but I got some extra fluff that needs to come off, lol. Matthew, thank you so, so much for this video. It truly made my day! God bless you and Jameson for all the excellent work that you do

I love myself but there are some days that I feel ugly if I'm just in my pjs all day with no make up. My mother has taught me that when I put my hair in a ponytail I look ugly and I always have to have my hair down around her or she gets mad. It's kind of stupid but I wish she would just say that I was beautiful no matter how I have my hair or when I don't have makeup on she says "put make up on so you don't look ugly" and then I told her I wanted to be a personal trainer or someone that helps people be healthier and she said I couldn't do it because I was fat. But I don't believe anything she says and I'm in control of my own life and I'm not going to let anyone pull me back❤️❤️❤️ I am grateful that I have a body and I can travel and go to beautiful places. There are people that are in wheel chairs and they have to just sit at home all day. love yourself and don't compare yourself to other people and you'll be much happier☀️

I NEEDED this in my life and mental space right now !! I thank you so much for this insight and how you said it all! Even though I've heard this before and thought I was trying to live this way, but I've realized this year more and more HOW much I need to grow with this and how much it could help! My more recent insecurities have been my physical injuries and my anxiety . I both a not as strong physically because of not being able to work out like I used to or want to and this made my mental health gonand i gained some weight and I don't feel healthy nor feel in shape as much so I feel "fat" or ugly... also injuries have stopped me from being the leader at work and in my own life that I thought I needed in order to be a leader at all let alone the best.... I'm learning slowly it's not true. And I've also learned that my anxiety is truly caused from how much I worth and obsess about letting everyone down and what they think of me and my every decision and I turned into this GIANT complainer and anxious mess because I feel the need to explain everything I do and don't do away or tonothers!!! I seriosuly need to accept I get anxious about things and not allownit to get worse by letting others who point it out or question me/judge me to get me MORE anxious . Again thank you for this video. I'm going to work on this daily !

Thank you for being real which is inspiring. I’ve always been insecure about my skin. But I also realize that we magnify our own flaws. We need to remember that people don’t see them as clear as we do because we live on the inside of our bodies and they on the inside of theirs. I’m becoming less careless about my flaws and less conscious and the feeling is amazing. Like another challenge or an adventure. Let people see my flaws, and let me be even more liberated of my own judgments and doubts. There lays life.

Hi Matthew, what I really want to mention is that as long as you keep up encouraging people, torching their lives with your insightful tips, as long as you are being Matthew, YOU ARE SOOO WONDERFUL. The way you look, the orange/ brown tan hand white or your hair flipped back using gel, skinny or fat or fit doesn't matter, what matters is your beautiful soul trying to uplift and help other souls, that's very noble, I must say ( just ignore shallow people with their shallow comments) By the way, this video was was very authentic, not commercialized, more like a heart to heart talk which requires no alterations, so great job done there ❤️ .... What's my take away from this video is to fully accept who I am not because I am perfect or by concealing the imperfections I become near perfect, no, but because I am imperfectly perfect in my own way and nobody can ever beat me on that as only I am amazing at being myself nobody else can do it better, so, I might as well wear it with pride :) The second take away would be conditioning .... I will inculcate the conditioning thing in my life as I just scurry when I am near some person throwing off negative energy in order to protect myself instead I need to learn not be bothered by their presence.. Thanks a ton, Matthew! Aditi A fan from India🙏

I just want to say that I loved this punchy-less video, you letting yourself be seen unedited. I'm a self-love and body confidence coach, and one of the reasons I haven't been as 'successful' is because I don't care for making things sparkly in order for them to sell. It feels like it goes against my message that you are enough exactly as you are. And it feels good to see someone like you spreading the gospel. ;) As for my insecurities, it's mostly my dimply, jiggly thighs. But you know what? I've had so many men tell me they LOVE my thick thighs, and I've learned to love them too. Sometimes it still gets me, but I don't let it rule me. I'm a WHOLE person, not just my cellulite.

I have a 3 inch scar across the majority of my face. I've it since I was 18 months old and I will have it for the rest of my life, unlike the causes of most people's insecurities. It's taken 21 years but I am finally starting to accept it as part of who I am, but it's fucking hard. All I have ever wanted is for someone to tell me I am beautiful - not STILL beautiful despite the scar, but that the scar is beautiful and I am beautiful. I realised I could be waiting a while for that to happen to a few years ago I just started saying it to my self, think I'm starting to believe it!

You ARE BEAUTIFUL, not despite the scar, and not because of the scar, but because you are you. @@amyjacquelineg.9541 what a negative way of looking at things. No one feels perfect all the time, but it's nice to meet someone who boosts how you feel about yourself. Hopefully you feel alright day to day and meet someone who makes life even better.

Such a beautiful message in this video and I have to agree. At 42 years old now, I genuinely no longer care about outside judgement. I do what I do, I own what I do/say/mistakes I make I put my hand up and just say, this is who/how I am and you either take it or leave it. I no longer live in fear of other people. And it's the most AMAZING part of my life. I hope people can take Matthew's lessons on board.

Thank you sooo much Matthew for this video and putting yourself like this. Making it raw makes it more real and adequate. When it comes to insecurities, for my entire life I was always ashamed of my belly. It is rounded, it simply is a paunch. To the extend that sometimes people think I am 3 months pregnant...well. I used to hate my belly, until I realized I am the one who is responsible for this condition. So I started to treat it better, nicer. Anyways, now, my approach it totally different. I know I will never have a flat belly (because of digestion conditions and twists in my backbone) but what I do now, is I have a speciall TIGHT dress, which I call acceptance dress, and I wear it no matter what, even on dates, so I intentionally show up myself like this and speak about this honestly, also on dates. And when I do speak about it, I can see respect from other people. I still feel insecure and uncomfortable, but I dont hide it anymore!

My biggest insecurity are my breasts. They're pretty small and yet I have stretch marks on top of them and they're saggy as well. That used to kill me. i use to dwell on how unfair it was for someone as young as me (22) to have to deal with that...and sometimes that feeling still creeps up on me. I used to think about how nobody would ever want me or want to sleep with me and blah blah blah. Today I realize that I am so much more than just my breasts or my body for that matter. I have so much to offer to people and the world. We all do.

+Viviane Bossina I have the same issue. I was 19 when an ex pointed out I had stretch marks on my breasts. I had never weighed more than 104 lbs before that point and they weren't that big, so I didn't know how I got them. Other than that one person just pointing it out, I've never had any complaints. I don't think men care. They're just happy they get to see and touch them. :)

I have the same problem. I look back at my old photos and see myself smile soo big but now I can't get myself to do it because I am embarrassed and insecure about it. It's not as bad as some but to me it's something that holds me back also. So I know how you feel, you're not the only one ♡

Coming from someone who cleans teeth for a living... I love a beautiful smile just like the next person but I have to tell you, I see straight teeth all the time and my favorites are the ones with characteristic imperfections. Don't hide your smile it's an amazingly unique attribute.

First off, you are amazingly good looking and we all know that haha. I found myself going after guys that are in my mind "too cute" for me. I am a thick girl BBW if you will. After my ex and I split about 8 months ago & during our relationship I thought "no one will ever find me attractive, no one wants a woman with 2 kids, a fatty, and a crazy baby daddy" but largely due to your advice I have gotten back to my charismatic, sweet and funny self. And I've lost some weight but that's not even where it came from. My confidence came from putting myself out there and meeting real guys that wanted me! I don't have a boyfriend... yet and I'm still always nervous about what they think about my body but I know now that my previous thoughts were simply false. Thanks Matthew 💙

I’ve struggled with acne off and on since middle school and it’s gotten me so down to the point where I’ve stayed home and hid away from people due to shame, self-consciousness and feeling so depressed about it. This latest time I’ve struggled with it in my 30s, I’ve been very focused on my thoughts about myself and making sure I’m not feeding into/believing the story that I’m ugly/repulsive/worthless/etc. and replacing those thoughts with affirming thoughts about myself. The work of Louise Hay has helped a lot and RU-vid recordings of affirmations by Jason Stephenson as well. Thank you for this video, Matthew! Such an important message to grow in acceptance and love for ourselves, and knowing the more we do so, the better relationships we attract into our lives. 🙏💖✨

jessica thomas if a man finds you attractive and truly cares for you Instead of just having his way with you, then he will love your flaws. I've been with women that I care for and I've never had any problem with any part of their body. If I don't have feelings for a woman those flaws can't hide. Bottom line is that if your man has a problem with your stomach then he is either shallow or doesn't have feelings for you, either way move on and be happy and confident😉

That is the most real and honest video I've seen from you in terms of mimics and gesture and opinions. Thanks Mat for this video. Here it comes: I always have problems with a lot of air in my belly after meals and sometimes in the evening I look like I'm in the 5th month pregnant. When I was younger I always used to pull in my stomach to not look too wide. Now I don't care anymore and whoever has problems with my belly should leave and never come back! ❤️

New subscriber - one of my best friends as an adult was her high school's homecoming queen her senior year. She didn't understand why she had been chosen because she never believed she was beautiful, and she was. Her fiance began to convince her and she began to believe it. I realized in knowing her and her insecurity that we are all truly alike. It is when we accept ourselves and be ourselves that we become our best selves.

I have a hair pulling disorder! Since I was 14, I have compulsively pulled out hairs - and thus have had bald spots (eyelashes and brows) at various times in my life. I used to be SO afraid that people would discover this. But now I have a lot of compassion and patience with myself, and I feel beautiful no matter what. Is it still hard? Absolutely. But it's also helped me grow into someone that is stronger and more compassionate - and more confident - as a result. Thank you for sharing this, Matthew. It's advice that I needed to remember.

Thank you for this video. I really needed to hear this. I am very self conscious about being a bit overweight, I have scars throughout my body and face as well as dealing with thinning hair. It's been difficult to be okay with myself especially having been conditioned to think that as a woman I have to be thin to be sexy and beautiful, soft with radiant beautiful clear skin, beautiful thick and sexy long hair and basically look like a goddess. I know it's crazy but that's how I was conditioned since I was a very small child. 😕

Matthew I have recently discovered you on RU-vid and your videos are awesome. Thank god I have overcome my insecurities and am feeling very sexy and attractive in spite of my flaws and my age. . However it’s always good to listen to someone like you. Your counselling reinforces my mental disposition and I share them with my grand children who are young adults and have a lot to overcome in order to become blooming adults. Among all the coaches I have been listening to on RU-vid, you are the best and the most attractive.

You have a new subscriber here! I’m at a point in my life where I’m just starting to realize and accept my insecurities. Most of mine come from within and aren’t so much about my appearance; they’re more-so about my abilities and personality, but I feel like this video (for me anyways) relates to both the mental and physical side of insecurities. I used to always compare myself to others and how well they might be doing with their lives... but I am slowly learning that NOBODY has anything fully figured out and we are ALL actually weird idiots 😂. Thank you so much for your videos! You truly have no idea how much they’ve motivated me to be better at being good to myself. 🙏
