Imagine being offended by a woman who loves her husband and children. I sensed a disturbance in the Twitter, as if thousands of people who didn't have loving parents at home cried out all at once.

I'm a stay-at-home partner (disabled veteran) and my girlfriend makes a ton of money, so I take care of the house and pets and all that good shit. Hell, I even do the grocery store runs off her lists. It works because someone can actually afford to stay home. Mind you, I still have that vet disability income, but my opinion on taking care of her and the house remains the same. If she works hard, I keep things clean and food cooked. Even distribution of labor.

My mom is a traditional wife, and my father is a loyal husband. Together they taught me so much about life. My mom to this day is my best friend, who I go to for advice when things are hard, or who I call to celebrate my accomplishments. I would not be close to her if she worked. There were very specific time for myself and my sister in which we would talk to her, and she learned through being home that if she did not interact with us she would miss out. Because I saw my mom spending her free time reading a book, I started getting into reading. When she started picking up art again I would ask her for advice when I started my art journey. I think we forget how important having a parent there for the children is for their development. I feel lucky that my Mom was there for me as I grew up, and is still there for me as an adult. As a man who wants to get married and have kids I know that I cannot force my wife to be traditional, but I would bring in the fact that one of us should be there for our children to help prepare them for the world that we live in. Anyway, sorry for the long winded comment. I just recently found your channel, and I know this video is old in internet times, but thank you.

I left my job and got nice chunk of money from the settlement with the company, which allowed me to be a stay at home dad for a few months without having to look for a new job and it was the best few months of post-children life. I woke up early, got the kids up, made breakfast and lunch for my wife, did the cleaning, made dinner before she got home. None of this was emasculating, at no point did I feel like the inferior part of the team. It was ******* great and I wish it could have continued for longer. Hating on this woman for living her life the way she wants to? Insane.

Yeah, in the same way that "husband" is a term that defines a man's relationship to a woman, the same way I am a "brother" to my sister, or that someone is a "boyfriend" to a girlfriend. You can bet that "writer", that individual's relationship to that poor excuse of an "article", was really crunching the deadline.

I am a trad wife. Men are easy, feed them, take care of yourself, take care of your home and make it inviting and your husband will always come home. My husband says the best part of his day is coming home....that makes me happy

A "pick me girl" is simply a girl that wants to be appealing to men. Imagine eating healthy, going to the gym, advancing your career and saving money, only to be called a "pick me boy" by other men lmao.

The only problem with tiktok tradwives is like most of what you see on Instagram, it's a facade for clicks. I saw one where some woman was showing off how she was making cereal for her kids from scratch. Ain't nobody got time for that. The fakeness is part of the reason why social media is fucking with people's mental.

My wife says she hates the feminist movement.. because she used to be able to stay home all day cook/clean . But now is so hard for 1 person to take care of a whole household and had to pick up a job. Now we split all of our household chores but she tells me everyday she would rather much go back to being the (housewife) rather than a "strong independent working woman" .. and is always blamming these girls for making her have to work a job 😂 I always comfort her and tell her dont worry about a job but deep down we both know those days are gone and now the government is fucking us both over on our paychecks to live in a normal house

I’m a domestic housewife but my goal is to become a feral housewife. Joking. But seriously the amount of people that get pissed off at me for having the audacity to make a sandwich for my husband is hilarious. This man goes to work for 12 hours a day 5-6 days a week despite having a health problem. So yeah we show love to each other by sacrificing for each other. It’s not slavery. It’s a truly loving relationship. He is my best friend and I am his.

I remember hearing about the controversy about the "TikTok Trad Wives" a few months ago, and honestly, absolutely none of said controversy makes any sense to me. On the one hand, the women who don't want to live that way can simply choose not to live that way and make it clear early on in their relationship. If the guy isn't gonna be having any of that, then the relationship probably wasn't going to work out anyway. I also find it a hard sell being a "trad wife" means the woman in question is at the mercy of her husband, although that might be due to my personal experience. To quote the ONLY piece of relationship advice my dad gave me: The two most important words for any married man to know are "yes, dear". On another hand, I was under the impression that the whole "trad wife" thing was something that VERY few women wanted to do, which is a bit ironic considering my religious background. On top of that, I also kinda figured that "trad wives" were obsolete because many household appliances and such made the sort of chores that a housewives did back in the 1950's far less time consuming. Then again, I suppose such a role wouldn't be quite so obsolete if the parents decide to home school their kids. On yet another hand, it should also be noted that with the kind of economy there is, not just today, but for the last 15 years (roughly), a man is going to have to pull in quite a bit of money to even make that work. I should also note that over in Japan, "trad wives" are much more common, but I wouldn't say that the husband tends to domineer over them. For one, in Japanese culture the wife manages the finances, such that it's not uncommon for the husband to get an allowance. Yes, you read that right. There's also the fact that it's kinda tough to for a guy to be domineering in the relationship when he's frequently exhausted from having to work an ungodly amount of hours, which is also quite common over there. As for the remarks many people make to criticize "trad wives", I'm sensing a great deal of projecting.

Imagine being so fragile that someone dressing the way they want and being in the type of relationship they want (sound familiar!?) is perceived as a threat.

I think it's that women feel called out for their lifestyle because someone else is displaying how happy they are in a situation that they tried but failed or that they don't want but feel like they should or were told that they should by their parents. Modern women choosing a Tradwife lifestyle reminds people that a large amount of people in the past were happy even if there were serious problems in the country / society.

My mom taught me how to do all the household stuff. Worked out well for me. I’ve had several women leave me because they felt ‘I didn’t need them’… but being self sufficient to me is more important than having to rely on others…

It's insane how much people hate seeing anyone happier than them.

I love the idea that the people projecting their lack of a relationship is some sort of gotcha moment. They're just showing everyone how miserable and lonely they truly are.

As a single guy, who has to work on top of doing all the chores (including the laundry), sometimes I wish I had some assistance. The tradwife gals who willingly take on part of that responsibility would be an absolute treasure that I'd gladly pamper with anything spare time and money I could scrape together. Like girl, if you're willing to make my life easier, I'd make your life as comfortable as I can, not just because you're doing me a great service, but because I love you. Goddamn, that'd be the dream. Anyway, back to reality for me.

I got married when I was young, 19 to be exact (my now husband was 20). I was told after I got married that I was "robbed of my independence" because I didn't get to "grow up" without a man. Ive always liked having my husband by my side, but whenever I tell people that I got married young they pity me and villainize my husband. feminism should be that women can choose what they want. not be forced to live a certain way.

im a stay at home woman with a child and a boyfriend who goes to work and brings home groceries for me to cook for him, and takes care of our baby while i do my things. i’ve been doing this for years with him and i certainly do not see or feel any sort of slavery in the lifestyle i’ve been living in. My great-grandma was the most feminine and yet one of the strongest people i've ever known. She took care of three children after her husband died in war, in a country destroyed by war, in a terrible regime. Her life was on ultra hard mode. Yet despite all that, she was very feminine, very loving and very motherly. She also never once said anything negative about her late husband even after decades, if anything she only talked well of him. That's what you call strong, dedicated and loyal.

Do these people not understand that not all “traditional” relationships in the 50’s, were abusive? Nothing was perfect, but loving (the act, not the feeling) your spouse is such a foundational building block to life and raising a family. I was so lucky to have a “traditional” family growing up.

My question: how the F can people afford to live this way?!?!? This woman looks to be in her 20s, in a huge house, not working....so what does her husband (presumably also in his 20s) do for work? I am 39, a lawyer, and could BARELY afford to support this lifestyle, if I were married.

I also don't understand how these people can't imagine a world where we can have both traditional housewives and modern men who don't beat their wives.
