This reminds me of a story my friend told me, when his sister said she would set him up with someone on tinder, because it's easy, she's already been on a tinder date, more than once. She chose his photos, set the description and started "selecting". Swipe left, swipe left, finally "oh, this one fits" and swipe right... And she was surprised that there's no match. Like "why? Something's probably wrong with app...".

It's wild to me how she's so blown away on how down/negative she felt about what she was experiencing due to the lack of interest/response. As a man, this is "the norm". To the point it doesn't even feel negative any more. You kinda get used to this feeling and brush it off like 💁‍♂️

Dating apps should be banned at this point, it's gotten so bad and so toxic and causes people to have depression and feel horrible about themselves. I believe alot of people would agree with me on this, we need to go back to real socializing and get out in the real world. You can all thank the toxic media for how bad things have gotten. Things need to change people.

Watching the frustration in her voice... completely validating. Hearing her describe that thing where all of us men have done where you're talking to someone in an excruciating conversation but you say: "maybe they'd be cooler in person" - ask them out and they make a point of letting you know they're not interested. SMH Boggles my mind and this is why I got off Tinder for good. Its evil.

I was on tinder for a couple years. I had 1 date. Deleted my account and started going out and doing things i enjoy instead of swiping. Have gone on more dates by meeting people organically than i would in a lifetime on tinder.

I've managed to get people to explain the non response thing, each girl wants to be approached differently, some want you to be super forward, or want a joke or a cheesy chat up line etc, if you don't open with what they want they skip the convo. I need to explain, getting ignored on tinder is soul destroying, but trying to approach a girl in a public place and get rejected is worse.

I actually did this with 3 female friends of mine to show them how hard it is for men on dating sites. They hated the experience and eventually deleted the profiles. It was an eye opener for them.

What a wonderful post! Authentic and straight to the points. And it is nice to experience the honest reflection and expansion of mindset in the young woman taking part in the experiment. Yet, I will also argue that men, in general, must learn how to set higher and better standards for themselves in life, personal, romantic relationships, friends etc .... learning more stoic principles - and from this start choosing more optimal strategies and tactics to achieve what they want = having the courage to stand out amongst the silent frustrated and crying norms. When it comes to dating etc. start segmenting precisely what kind of women you would actually like to date - from the standards of your (men's) own values and virtues in life. Why choose dating apps (in general) where 99,99% works on women's premises, superficiality and cognitive constructs!!!!

I did this experiment but as a woman version of me with a Snapchat filter and I got 99+ likes in 45 minutes, countless matches, and as a male I’ve recieved 2 likes in a month and 0 matches

this is a pretty common experience at my age as well. 42. some girls seem to string you along as an option. some might never reply more than once even though they swiped me. some have been super critical of my profile and conversation to the point it really makes me wonder if they even want a date. It is funny seeing profiles where they say they don't want to text a bunch and just want to go on a date fast but yet don't accept a date even though they matched with me. most all the ones that list their instagram are just there to boost their followers and possibly find a sugar daddy.

Hey Alexander, I enjoy your videos, and I will continue watching and supporting your channel. Just a point: not only as it relates to dating apps, but attempting to connect with women these days on most any social site (platonic or otherwise): I've seen written in the profiles numerous times where some women retch at the "Hi, how are you?" convo starter. They call for more originality/effort to be put into that first message. I would like to think that from the large percentage of men, that is not acceptable (perhaps only if one is ticking all the right boxes.... in which case the woman would likely make the first move, or totally overlook the "hi" line. Now I can understand the frustration that may come with being hit with that approach on repeat (especially when it is often saturated with lust), however conversation is a 'two-way street', and if you've seen my profile, and I yours, or if just a little effort is put in, we should be able to graduate fairly quickly from basic introductions. Personally, I don't see too big of an issue with "Hi, how are you", as a start. What I think might be the issue is that "hi, how are you" has no weight. In other words, people only use it as a passing greeting without the intension of knowing or caring how the person actually is doing. What is puzzling to me (which might be some kind of indictment against me as a "man") is that I can't think of any other way to start a conversation with someone who I am only just meeting for the first time, and who (in a lot of cases) may not have put any information in their profiles from which I could draw questions. Sadly a lot of men (like myself) weren't schooled in the ways of getting a woman (outside of being polite, courteous, and such).. We learned as we went along... Still it is quite difficult (especially these days). Apologies for the lengthy comment.

Social experiments like this should be mandatory every once in a while, whether for women to better understand the struggles of men, for men to better understand the struggles of women or simply for wealthy people to better understand the struggles of regular folks (that's a MUST)! Society would be inevitably better if we understood each other's challenges... Ps: Funny detail, I somehow got a feeling the girl was likely Portuguese in the first minute or two of her call...she just has that modesty and subtleness that often characterizes Portuguese women (not exclusive of them, of course...but very common)...as a Portuguese man, to be able to capture that hint from the thin air, I just think it was interesting...😉

The only thing shocking about the experiment was that she was so shocked at how poorly it went.

My dating app hidden score is so low, the app has started suggesting matches with inanimate objects.

A woman posing as a guy: Convinces 7 girls to go on a date in 7 days, is deppressed and disappointed, considers it a failure. Me, a guy: Gets one match in 7 days, am pleasantly surprised, consider it a success regardless of whether she even replies or not.

I've dated 3 women who didn't believe this. We swapped phones for a while and the exact same process occurs for each one. Phase 1) They start out picky, and without fail they are absolutely shocked when they swipe right that it's not a match. They always exclaim "but you're better than her in every way or at least equal!". Hahaha, this is going to be interesting isn't it. Phase 2) The despair starts to take hold, it doesn't take them long to start lowering their standards, and more exclamations of "what the hell is going on, none of these are matches?! She does a crap job, is overweight and less than average looking and has no interests!!". Phase 3) Then the final stage, non stop right swipe on every account. A couple of matches happen and they immediately go "no way, delete that one!". They tried to send message which is never replied to. Phase 4) No likes left. All of them say "you can run out of likes?!". While I'm on their accounts it's 9/10 chance a like is a match, which is of course expected. After all in one session they had been driven to madness of swiping right on everyone! The take away is always the same once they run out of likes - "how can you actually do this to yourself, don't you find it extremely disheartening and depressing?!". I understand the game I'm playing so not really, but sometimes there's a smart intelligent woman with some common sense and decency out there that makes it all worth it ;) Patience is a virtue and these apps are long sieges campaigns for free to play players, nothing comes easy and it takes time and effort for men, and almost none for women.

You can't open a chat with 'hey how are you?' when you're a guy. You have to open up a chat with all the intellect of a poet, a comedian and a businessman and you have to do this in the first couple of messages in such a way that it will stimulate the girl, and make her laugh, but without layering it on to thick so she thinks you're cheesy and pretentious, and even if you achieve the miracle of making it this far, you'll probably get ghosted and blocked in the next few messages once they find someone who looks like a male porn star, but hey, it's better than no response at all.

My experience with dating apps completely destroyed all my self-esteem and confidence. What pisses me off is that even if you choose not to use dating apps, they still affect you because any woman you meet in real life is also chatting with 10 other guys on a dating app.
