The final episode of the classic duo. What a ride it was. In the words of Picard, “‘Tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all.” (Still hurts tho)
Now we know Woolie is the key to surviving bad games. If it wasn't for Woolie, Omikron would've killed them, and without him, Star Trek has done the job.
looking back on this, i can kind of feel the tension and joke forcing here. feels like they were trying really hard to recapture the feel of their old lp's while pushing something personal to the wayside hard to watch you guys go but in hindsight, maybe we shouldve known
Fun fact: Automatic sliding doors hadn't yet been successfully built when Star Trek's famous whoosh doors were created. Engineers sent fan mail to the show's producers, demanding to know how they got their doors to open and close so quickly. (The answer: stagehands hiding behind the set.)
"One shot may be all we need." _"What the hell is that supposed to mean, Spock?"_ "I have managed to procure a certain sniper rifle from another LP on this channel. My associate Vergin gave it to me, along with this retro 21st century headwear."
I'm not sure what best expresses The Best Friends opinion of this game, the constant time checking or Pat's heavy breathing that sounds like he's about to cry.
After hearing Woolie say those fateful words.... And hearing the situation, looking back at this, it definitely sounds like Pat doesn’t want to be there and Matt isnt as cheerful as he usually is Boy this episode is hard to watch now☹️
Everything got recycled into Warframe. Warframe is like the secret game they were making for a decade before release. I'm sure they didn't even know they were making it when they first started making it.
@@YZaiCreates Always remember: Devil May Cry is a Resident Evil game, and Warframe is a J.J. Abrams Star Trek game. ... And Resident Evil is a Goof Troop game.
that downed state really shows where this game came from, haha also being behind someone blocks their shots because you're in technically in their shot path is something that Warframe did, or at least use to do.
This is why I love this channel, they could full LP something good that they enjoy like Bayonetta. Instead they chose to suffer through steaming piles of garbage just to entertain us with their suffering. We don’t deserve these brave, brave cowards.
God dammit. Looking back at this video with the knowledge of what went down today, it became so much more obvious how not-friendly Matt and Pat are here. Not even in a banter shitposting kind of way, but actual complete "meh" for each other.
We've seen a captain with a never ending bloodlust and a Commander coward out and leave men behind. Starfleet seems to be having trouble with officers in this universe.
Jon and Arin from Game Grumps ended on a Star Wars LP, and Matt and Pat ended on a Star Trek LP. Sucks that they'll never get to the end of this one it really felt like old Best Friends
The fucked up thing is it felt like old best friends because their gimmick and act turned into reality for them. The animosity that was played up as a joke turned into real animosity
Unfortunately we should have seen it coming way sooner ... the fact that they didn’t often play games together anymore and how difficult it seems for they to pass time together. Probably the hardest breakup of people I wish I could know.
For a few months, to me, it felt like Matt and Pat were really awkward together. Especially during the podcast livestreams. There was a subtle animosity between them and it seemed like a lot of the commentary were phoned in. I thought it was my imagination but unfortunately, it was true.
What could possibly be going on that cant be discussed to straight up end the channel and friendship? It almost feels like they wanted to focus on solo projects idk, really struggling with this one
think of them like a band, they start off as best friends, they get work, suddenly friends are seeing eachother and contacting eachother 24/7. one has an idea, the other doesn't like that idea, they start budding heads. not take that and double it for however long 2BFP was going on. @@Tesladite
Guess it was a sign, considering this game was one of the first they did on their machinima plays when they first started out. It came full circle. Thanks for everything guys!
I like to think they’ve since patched things up in their personal lives or at least made amends to some degree. Even if they never make a shred of new content together again. I miss the old days so much
You know they are trying to get this LP to end asap when they put out 40min eps and it isn't a finale or special ep or dlc, just a regular ep and it's 40mins
This is a subpar slog of an LP, so it makes absolutely no sense that I was so excited for this video I clicked on it as soon as the notification showed up.
I wasn't even interested in this series because holy shit this is a pile of garbage, but after this morning and other news, Now I just feel bummed out and feel obligated to at least glance at this.
You guys emblemize the true reality of playing with your friends, and still, with the combined brain-power, make half a competent player. You guys are beautiful. You are all of us.
The "Vulcan Kancho" was the Federation's original name for Vulcan ships' protocol against the Klingons, before the Vulcans sanitized it as the "Vulcan Hello".
This might be the last video of Matt and Pat together. I was really hoping they would've played the new Fist of the North Star Lost Paradise game or the new RE2 remake when it comes out.
