You look amazing! I'm so happy to see this blog and know you guys were safe during Ian. We live north of Clearwater and were in Zone A. We had relatives in central Florida to which we evacuated to. Our home received no hurricane damage, only a slight power outage. I can't believe how quickly the hurricane turned east. We feel so blessed, but we are so sorrowful for the people in Ian's path.

We used to make those “chicken squares”. Back in the day! I can’t remember if we called them that but we loved them! I think your mom and I are about the the same age lol. I love your videos Amanda and am so happy that you are Joey are so happy. Also love your doggies! They make me so happy for some reason lol. Also we were right at ground zero for the hurricane and this one was like no other and I have been through many being an old lady that was born in Florida. We will recover though. Floridians are strong!!!!

Those chicken squares look delicious! My wheels are turning on how I could modify to almost have a pot pie type filling - mixed veggies and some kind of gravy 🤤 Glad you all are safe after the hurricane.

So glad to hear that y’all are safe down there. I am absolutely going to make the rice and chicken squares one quick question in the written recipe they put butter in with chicken and cheese but ur mother in law only puts it on top before baking correct?

This is the mother in law lol...yes the original recipe has some melted butter in the cream cheese and chicken mixture but I don't usually add it because just saving a few calories. I don't think it makes much difference but you can try it both ways! I don't always top the chicken squares with the melted butter either...still delicious!

I had already watched this video and then today my daughter just so happens to ask for Chick-fil-A when she got home. Well, I love pickles on everything and so I got the grilled nuggets, brought them home, loaded with my own pickles and their honey bbq pack. It was so good. hi thanks for another great video and glad you guys were all safe . got to say that pickle part in the video was hilarious and your reaction was priceless when joey said he was going to eat a pickle. made me laugh. also if that's extra pickles wouldn't want to see regular pickles. don't skimp on the pickles. Love pickles as well and hate it when I ask for extra and they give like 1-2 pickles. thanks for sharing some great recipes and showing the pups. must try that Mexican rice recipe it looked delicious and it seemed easy to make. those chicken squares also looked good. can't wait for you next video. thanks again and love your videos! stay safe !

My mom makes the chicken squares she also makes them with the leftover turkey at Thanksgiving. Try putting a little gravy on the top of them.

I’ve been using Sam’s and Targets online app order. When you get there they bring your order to your car. It truly saves me a ton of money. If I go in these two stores I will blow my budget out of the water.

And that is exactly how we make Mexican rice! You can also use 2-3 fresh cloves of diced garlic added at the same time as the onion omitting the garlic powder. It tastes even more amazing and the aroma while cooking it is unbelievable! You can also as well use water instead of broth and use Knorr chicken bouillon instead.

It was absolutely amazing probably the best rice I’ve ever had! I think she added garlic cloves to it because she loves garlic and we had some pealed. I loved it so much I’ve been eating for breakfast 😁

We make a version of those chicken squares. After their filled and rolled up, we put them in a baking dish topped with cream of chicken soup mixed with a little milk. It makes a delicious creamy sauce. We eat with rice or mashed potatoes. Sooo good!!

Oh this sounds so yummy! I definitely can see chicken soup being used as a replacement yes. I was also thinking of doing a Buffalo chicken square with sesame seeds on top and maybe blue cheese inside.
