Re: accidentally trans coding cartoons-- There's a mobile game called Best Fiends. The characters are all insects. One of them is a mosquito, Edward, who is "ashamed of his blood-drinking nature," so he feeds off a tank of coconut water. Female mosquitoes are the only ones who drink blood; coconut water/milk has been used as a plasma substitute during wartime. So Edward drinks something _like_ blood, something plant-based, because that's what male mosquitoes do. Edward is a trans man mosquito.

The drag race performer Peppermint, when she was transitioning chose the name Agnes. Just like we're trying to give love to trans men naming themselves Frank and Doug, I think we should be out there for trans women who want to name themselves Mildred, Agnes, Shirley, and Alice.

One of my clients, a fellow trans man, informed me that he changed his name. Yay! But despite repeating his name a couple times for me, I couldn't quite catch it so I asked him to write it down. Gave me a funny look but he wrote it and gave me the paper. Fred. His name is Fred. I guess all my trans homies picking unusual names completely brainwashed me into forgetting that dudes are sometimes literally just named Fred.

Sad that I still need to stay closeted at home because my parents, especially my mom, are very uneducated and misinformed about the trans community. I relate to choosing the Bob type names though I didn’t choose mine. People just kept calling me Sean before I came out. People would forget my deadname, including my own mother so I just got assigned Sean. Gotta love not having to choose a new name because everyone else did it for me.

Animal Crossing has a Trans Peahen named Julia. she *is* that brilliant blue but because that game also has animals made out of food and robots, its little more than headcanon until they say something about her officially. (But like, they confirmed Isabelle is Bi so they arent afraid to do it)

i looked at a not too long list of personality traits for the adjectives question, and the ones i find the best for me if i had to choose two of them are "deliberate and inventive." i think things over and their effects so i can stand by my decisions, and i am always finding creative ways to approach things and also like making drafts for potential inventions and crafts. also when i was a kid with my own list of boy names i could take if i was ever magically turned into a cis boy, one of the names was Doug

My trans-male friend chose the name Ari, which is considered a very masculine middle aged man's name here(picture a bald man with a beer belly holding a beer). He said it just suddenly came to mind and resonated with him, his first name choise was Mikael(pronounced differently from Michael) but ended up keeping that as a middle name because it seemed like every other trans-man were naming themselves Mikael😂 It felt like going from a young adult name to "fuck it, I'll just be middle aged"

I mean one of my close friends and the activities coordinator at our city's LGBTQ+ center is an FtM guy named Frank and I fucking love it. He occasionally dresses like a pirate (sometimes with swashbuckling-era layered skirts) and makes little "potions" to give out which are just glitter and food-dyed water in mini corked bottles with labels like "charisma +1" and "euphoria draft" and I love him.
