They tape them for hours, and then it's all about editing. You'd be surprised how mean you could be made to look. It's entertainment, not documentary.

Trends always come back so get dressed with whatever you want.

I think it depends on the "trend". Some trends are more common in high end dresses that are less expensive version of couture gown. It's why women still want dresses that give a feeling of Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly, or Princess Diana. It may be a feature not common 10 years from now, but the dress will still be beautiful. Now for "trendy" dresses that feel like a bridal version of Forever 21...As long as your realize you might be smacking your forehead in 10 years, well...your choice.

I love this show because of Monty and the Monty/Lori dynamic... like I love the Atlanta staff. But I hate the people and the drama and the scripted nonsense they have going on with all the entourages

I highly recommend SYTTD Lancashire with Auntie Gok, Curvy Brides with Jo and Al, and SYTTD Ireland. Much less scripted and more authentic and genuine reactions from the entourages, not to mention actual constructive feedback on the dresses, they don't tear down the bride's confidence so much as offering insight into what might look not quite right about the dress.

I mostly watch the us version for Monty. He’s a hidden gem
