If every home owner decides to take on a second house as a rental, maybe the corporations would have some competition and find something else to invest in instead. Families taking on a rental or two, need a little extra income to retire on.
I cannot believe that they are not being held responsible for violating federal anti trust laws…..for decades! In my humble opinion, this is not ‘capitalism’, it’s criminal, and this should be stopped….or at least regulated.
Tired of Americans acting shocked and complaining. What? You folks thought that these Umbrella Corporations was just a movie, and now we will act like this stuff just started? This is what happens when Americans tolerate it. If 2008 didn't teach anything, wouldn't expect people to do anything about it now but what you folks see in the comments.
If only people could read the script, it would make more sense. I know descriptions from China can get WAY lost in translation. But there is a difference between live and live when you read them. And everything makes more sense when it’s not mispronounced.
In my experience, the only way to identify a modular home after it’s finished is the marriage wall(a). A 7-8” thick wall insude the house is the first clue. Running the length/width of the house confirms it.
The "mountain mobile" tiny home on a trailer is known as a "Park Model Chalet" Also my bery small township has a covenant that requires any new home build must have an attatched garage. Jard stop. No accessory structures like pole sheds or detached garages, RV garages, etc can ne built before a permanent dwelling. Keeps our tax base livable & prevents the temporary messes...
I don’t think I could live in a tiny home, I like lots of room. I’ve watched a show on tv, they build them for people, they really cute but How can you have children , kids wouldn’t have much room to move around, I saw a family of six, it might be fun at first , I’d like for them to go back and visit these families, let us know do they still love it. ♥️👍👍
This administration dont expect them stepping in Like old Joe.said.its not that AMERICANS don't have money because they do they are .ad they have to use it🤔
Scary... I wonder if it would be possible to treat this like zoning? No commercial (corporate) ownership in single family zones? Seems like new law is the only way it's going to change.
The argument that "oh, developers can just build more houses" misses that if this keeps going they can just buy up houses as they're built. The endpoint? "SUBMIT YOUR RENT, CITIZEN. NEXT MONTH WILL BE 3% MORE. FAIR MARKET RATE <brought to you by RealPage>!"
If you're actually serious about buying one for land owners to test out, we have a family cabin property in Manitoba Canada for #5 (maybe #3). Ideal for snow load testing, winterizing testing. We know engineers that would figure things out for fun. My brother owns a flat roofing company, which would make him uniquely positioned to beef it up as necessary. My sons do sewer and water hook up for a living, so they'd be well suited to weigh in on how well it lends itself to that (with one of my sons also owning a water treatment company so plumbing it in is no problem).
The whole rental increase can’t occur in areas where rent controls exist.I used to live in an mobile/manufactured home park and they increased only once every year but within the percentage cap allowable by law.
