-Its too wide. It should mirror the first gen Ranger width. -The Mav needs a PHEV model -The Mav needs a LIGHTNING model -Needs a dash mounted grab handle for pasenger while offroad rough trails !
Only reason you cant get one is because ford is only making a limited amount so the price can stay higher than the original msrp. Yall just getting played. If you're spending that much money you would be better off buying a used 3rd gen tacoma
I too have researched endlessly and have also come to the following conclusions. All the bikes I look at have Shimano gear sets and decent hydraulic disc brakes and although I know specialized sells a cool bike I will not spend 4-5 thousand dollars for a bike that only gets 30-35 miles on a charge when the bike I bought will go 60 miles if you just behave a little. The key like he said is to get out and ride but I think in my world if I spent 5000.00 on a bike my wife would send me to get a urinalysis to see what drug I was on. I settled on a bike called Denango and here is the reason why and a good line of logic for everyone to follow to navigate the endless choices of like what he said a ton of bikes that all look the same. I chose Denango because of the amount of service centers and dealers available and the availability to contact the manufacturer which in in Texas not Taiwan or china. I also pick a bike and this is an absolute must, for the certification of the batteries which as far as my bike goes they are double UL certified. Been a few bike shops burn down due to a cheap bike with cheaper batteries that had a lithium fire and as you all know will burn under water. I have ridden high dollar mid drive and I ride my bike and honestly for what most of us will do why spend money on a bike just for the name and upgrades like a fancier derailer, or mid drive which requires more maintenance and wears out the gears and sprockets faster. I also look on marketplace and shop the “I just don’t ride it anymore “ listings and save like half the money cause I paid $850 for a Denango city that cost 1400.00 at the store and they road it 1.1 miles and never road it again. The biggest thing is do the research and make sure if it beaks you can get it fixed or can get parts to fix yourself and enjoy getting out cause the hub drive bikes do a good job. I hear cons to the mid drive also and but I do know the hard core guys go for them but again, are you that guy and if not hit marketplace and find the deal and at least start riding and decide what your next bike is gonna be because so many times people just jump in and buy what someone says is the best only to have buyers remorse and those are the people I buy the used ones from.
OK, you may not like the cheaper ebikes- but lots of us cant afford the expensive brand name stuff- seeing these brand new ebikes being kicked over is really dissapointing. I don't care how cheap of something I may have I still take care of it and would never just kick it over like trash.
Not quite accurate. I sifted through them and none of them have everything as you get up to 1,500. You’re a poor reviewer to lump and dump in one category. The slight difference accommodate different individuals
What you failed to realize is that bikes are way, way, way, way, way overpriced. Telling us about a bike that is normally $7,000 is now selling for $6,000 means NOTHING. The real problem is bicycle companies think they can sell a bicycle at a price equal to or more than what a good motorcycle cost. It's outrageous.
Keep away from these big tyre ebikes. Instead, go for a bike with something like 20 inch, 2.3 - 3 inch tyres. Weight should be 30 kg, (or less). For a decent ebike, you would need to pay upwards of $1,000. Just remember, you get what you pay for !
I just saw this and your story is identical to mine. I sold my new Tacoma TRD Off Road that I had owned for 3 months (even made a $400 profit) and went and bought a hybrid Maverick. I found your channel looking for ways of hauling e-bikes. Glad to see it'll fit a large bike. Great job.
i got wise years ago, and especially to the marketing hype. a cheapo and heavy drive train functions as well as a pricey one for general riding and lasts longer so go figure... why pay ?
A helpful hint... Batteries can be removed from most e-bikes. Therefore that heavy bike can be 5plus pounds lighter just by removing the battery. It's much easier to place it on a bike hitch rack and relieves the unnecessary burden on the rack, making for a safer journey.
I thought your video had some useful information. I was disappointed. BTW All E-BIKES should have disc brakes, modern steering and front shocks. A$$hole!
I asked a bikeshop if they could help me with a new carbon seatpost for my Cannondale Caad13. They sell the bikes but doesnt have spare parts in stock. They wanted to charge me 340$ for the seatpost. That is almost 25% of the bike...
Wow a fork for 600$ what a steal and a bike that has discount for 1000$ because it costs like decent motorcycle. These stupid prices are reason why industry starts to crumble.
I found the smartwater brand bottles fit. Also a stainless steel and a glass one from the oriental market fit. I agree with your peeves. I completely forgot about the EV mode and never use it, but I did switch from regular gas to premium. I read on a forum that we are supposed to be using premium. I came from a Prius C which used regular (fantastic mileage and minimul upkeep). Sure enough the manual says premium gas. Now I got up to 44.5 m/gal up from 39 avg. Can't wait to try the EV mode now
I will say the way a few of the bigger bike companies force their dealer's to sell their bikes, it's a wonder their still in business. For example, here in Japan the local bike stores only sell select Giant bike models, forcing the customer to drive 3 hours to a Giant store which is ridiculous. Just recently, I was looking into getting a new Bombtrack touring bike, nope, they don't carry XS size in Japan. How many sales did they lose because of their stupid company policies? (Rant off)
