I waited almost two months for a stomach appointment, my dad drove me ALMOST 3 HOURS to a city far from our house, waited in a waiting room w/ kids climbing all over me for another 2 and a half hours, sat in the room answering questions for almost 20 min, waited another 15 min for the doctor, and ALL of that for A 5 MINUTE APPOINTMENT, A BLAND DIET, MEDICATION, AND A DISMISSAL OF HOW THE PAIN HAD BEEN GOING ON FOR ALMOST THREE MONTHS!!!!!!! And the doctor was a girl as well (my dad was in the room too)
this is me to a T 😭 my belly hurts so much all the time and im down to 95 lbs. I've gone to the ER multiple times, cat scams, blood work, "everything is normal" but ????
I've been so severely constipated before. I don't even know how this is possible. Never have I ever had diarrhea. Move around a blockage. I don't know how that is possible and yes. I have had severe constipation been dealing with my whole life. I also have gastrophrases, so basically everything. In my digestive tract is f****** slow yet. I don't know what this is. People have talked about it. My doctors have mentioned it.
Wish my doctors had known this … I had had overflow incontinence, and I told them that was what it was like, only fecal. No one knew what I was talking about . Or they thought I didn’t. I went through months of misery . they really weren’t interested .
My dad had that. He ended up with 7 pounds of fossilized poop that stretched his colon to the point of almost tearing! This allowed some of the materials to pass by this mass but it also infiltrated into his blood stream giving him sepsis. It took several enemas and other softeners to help him pass these stones. Nobody had any idea because most times it was gas pressure. It just goes to show you can't tell what's happening inside without procedures ruling out other causes
Yep. I think I literally just had this appointment. Except insert concerns about Diabetes. I’ve had 8 years of high blood glucose, prediabetic A1c results and other symptoms and I got a pat on the head and an order to have my thyroid checked. I’m going to a new doctor.
I was 10kg underweight and had at least 5 doctors say that i shouldn't worry that i look nice and slender. Yeah, with clothes on, without i looked, in my eyes, like an old woman. I couldn't believe it. One of them 'No. You look like a super model'. Yeah, thanks, mate.
My elderly wheelchair homebound mother is going through this same thing. Stay away from Washington State if you want to be treated like a human and not have appointments all pushed out 6 months... patient rights are just a word here they don't respect it until you raise hell and when you do it's because you only want drugs not care...
The crazy part is that this isn't even an exaggeration- ecxept for the "i'll save you time" part, I've had this exact conversation with more than one GP
Actually, it had to be all of the caffeine she hasn't been drinking for 6 months. Caffeine is the cause for her shooting pain, hair loss, fatigue, bloating, etc obviously lol

And this folks, is how my mom was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer two years ago. Her doctor kept telling her to take ibuprofen for her increasing back pain over the course of 18 months. It wasn’t until her “stomach flu” lasted a week that she went to the ER and was diagnosed. 🤬💔
Unfortunately this is so true to not only women but to men too! Im 66 and have numerous medical condition.. My lung cancer was found by accident after having "pneumonia " for a year. I am blessed to have a nurse who visits once a month an keeps tabs on me always. But my son who lives in New Hampshire spent 12 hours in the ER with severe stomach pains. They didn't do anything for the pain and only did a blood test,this happened twice until he suggested Lyme disease. He tested positive and was found to have stomach ulcers as well. He has long hair and is in his 30s. I guess they thought he was drug seeking! My Sister went into the hospital to have tests run 2 years ago. She never came home! Never really got the whole story of what happened to her! The insurance keeps going up and the care is going down! God bless us all!
My great gma used to run a nursing home and she would always give people with diarrhea an enema because she said that’s usually cuz there is a hard blockage somewhere and it used to work!
Did they read my medical records? Sounds like what I went through for a year...after 3/4 MRI, 2 CT's, 1 colonosocopy/endoscopy and a ton of dr visits, the results... we have no idea. So, yeah! I get to just wait for the next attack and debate if I should go to the dr/ER just in case it's something different like appendix.
This happened to my grandmother, severe stomach pain and other issues that they just kept telling her was because of her obesity and then finally when a doctor took her seriously years later she only lived a few months after that from the cancer that had been ravaging her.
I actually got the marijuana talk! That I should stop smoking because of this type of syndrome for long time smokers and blah blah blah….. I have colitis….. I never told him I smoked w33d…. I was experiencing extreme flare ups and intestinal swelling from drinking alcohol the night before 🥲🥲🥲
