Sofia here, I'm in my 20s and trying to figure out this thing called life. I have always wanted to do this RU-vid thing, so, here I am! I talk about mental health, self-improvement, growth and life lessons. I hope you relate to me, stick around, and that I make you smile :)
(If you are curious, I’m Italian but I moved to Canada in 2016)
Live your life without boundaries marked by the borders of the countries available to you. Expand the world in which you live your soul is an infinite territory!!!!
Thank you for the inspiring words! Sometimes it takes a reminder like this to realize that the very freedom of life's uncertainties can be the perfect reason to pursue our dreams. Truly motivating!
This hits home. I had a very similar thought not so long ago, right after finishing my bachelors. I was completely lost and the realisation that nothing really mattered was quite daunting. At the same time I noticed that, even though nothing mattered, there were few things I felt stronger towards. Exploring this came with a newfound sense of freedom, the freedom that it was my choice to continue living. It's been a couple years since and I must say I am living my best life right now. I followed this tug and it has brought me to live in several countries, meet amazing people and pursue a career in a different field. I genuinely think I couldn't be spending my time any better. Something I have also noticed is that it has become quite easy to make decisions that align with my beliefs. And some decisions have come at the expense of economical gain, but I haven't looked back once. Funnily enough, the most tiring part has been having to justify those decisions to people around me that could not accept that I was turning down money or making other sacrifices for reasons they did not understand. Thank you for the video and bon séjour en France! I'll be waiting for your next upload. P.
Thank you so so so much! You put a huge smile on my face. Keep following your gut because, truly, the only person who is and always will be with you is you. My biggest fear is wake up one day and blame someone else for my unhappiness when, in reality, it would be my fault for not having followed my dreams. That's why I make the choices I make, regardless of what others think or say. Thank you for the inspiration, I will treasure this message P.
@@sofiabonixo I think life is made up of choices, many of which we make without even noticing. And every choice comes with a potential unwanted outcome. This is totally fine, if I have the freedom to choose something, it seems only fair that I accept it may go in an unwanted way. Yet letting others choose for you or not choosing when you do have a preference are both decisions on their own (perhaps more "passive" in contrast to the other ones). And they are really tricky decisions, as we don't have the same relationship towards them. We don't feel the same sense of "agency" of having made them, so we reject the outcome strongly when they don't go our way. When you start making decisions that are coherent to who you feel you are, you are closer/more personal towards those decisions. And in a way, nothing can go wrong, as whatever missteps happen along the way, they are just part of the freedom to choose and something you will learn from. I think you are doing great! Don't see you waking up one day and blaming someone else for your unhappiness, especially if you are following things you enjoy (like spending 2 months in France, bravo to that!). And it goes both ways, don't let other people blame you for their unhappiness! To each their own. Have a nice week, P.
Thank you for all your kind words and for taking the time to answer me! I absolutely agree with you, I couldn't have worded it a better way. It is so nice to know there are people out there that have my same thoughts and beliefs. And thank you! I can’t wait to share my journey in France here :) Have a wonderful week!!
Thank you Beatriz🥰 I wish you a beautiful year full of new experiences and adventures! And if you ever feel like sharing some of the things you come across this year (or that you’ve come across so far), I’d be really happy to read them❤️ sending you a virtual hug❤️
Life has been feeling really hard for me lately, facing lots of challenges for going after my goals, and hearing you say the last lesson, made me emotional, it;s like i was meant to click on this video
I’m a native English speaker who only discovered this amazing band last year, and this is one of my favourite songs of theirs. I’ve read a few English translations, but your analysis has helped me better understand the inspiring message behind the lyrics. I will listen to Il Dono Della Vita with a new appreciation from now on. Thank you!
Thankyou so much for this in-depth english explanation. Idk Italian and was listening to this song for too long to hold my curiosity Beautiful song.. I fell in love after the amazing live performance I saw in which Damiano was singing on the verge of crying and wondered what it means or for who he wrote this.. Love Italian song❤Love from India❤
This song reminds me of a Disney princess with a messy background running away from home , starting an adventure to find herself in a vast dark “Tim Burton” style world with medieval and fantasy elements.
I think this song references Zitti e Buoni, where Damiano talks about being smothered and having wax wings, but now Icarus is soaring in clean air, without falling. ❤
Hi✨Let me know what you thought and if there are any other songs you'd like me to translate! So far, these are the ones I have done: -"Torna A Casa" : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sf1BHjXWU7I.html -"Coraline" : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g7zITHPcoiE.html -"Vent'Anni" : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yGx8uGf2J-4.html -“La Fine”: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IPWxAUGgdnI.html
"Is one of the most underrated songs"... absolutely 100% correct!. La Fine is easily in my Top 3 favourite songs of Må. It became my ringtone from the first day it was released and it still is. The grinding, driving, steady riff throughout the song reflects the mood & lyrics perfectly....of which your interpretation of them was fabulous. Bravo👏👏
Such an inspiring video! Oprah's wisdom truly shines through in 'What I Know for Sure.' Self-development and happiness go hand in hand. Thank you for sharing these life-changing advice!
Wow you’re amazing. I’m a Måneskin fan and I am so impressed by your translation and interpretation of the lyrics. I would love you think to dig in Angelina Mango,I was recently following too. I would suggest Fila Indiana for how she’s telling the sad story of the mourning days after her father’s death. So touching, so intense, so genuine…I would really love to watch your point of view over it. Well done again with The End and all the best for your next projects. Cheers
It reminds me of what Damiano said in a solo interview he did last year. In it he mentioned that for years he was striving to get a major hit, a number one song, and then they got it with Beggin. Only it wasn't what he expected of it. And that after that, for a while he just went through the motions, starting to feel depressed. It made him take a look at himself, and what he wanted, and he came out of it realizing his real purpose... producing, writing lyrics, writing music...
I haven’t watched that interview, but what you say makes sense to me. It comes through their lyrics, and not just of this song, but also many others they have. Many don’t pay too much attention to the lyrics and just go with the beat, but I love their songs. They are truly poetry and go way beyond just words that sound good together. I truly hope I am able to get his message right in my analysis, and I’m so happy there are people who are willing to listen❤️ Thank you❤️❤️❤️
In case anyone is curious, the link to the interview is: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3oWIHsjta68.html . It is quite long, so if you want to listen to the part about what @liliaeth mentioned, it is at end of "Being Italian", at minute 49:25 ✨
As requested I did “Il Dono della Vita”! ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wOYpVNTmP68.html ) I'll get around "Le parole lotane" at some point soon. Meanwhile, I hope you like it ✨❤️

@@sofiabonixo Hey Sofia, I noticed that though your content is very nice but audience engagement is very low! Do you know why this is and what action you have taken for this? Please let me know that. Maybe I can help you.
