Hi, I'm Maddie! I love showing vegans how to save time & eat healthier thanks to meal prep. 🌱 If you're newly vegan, plant based or just want to learn how to incorporate more plants into your diet, then you are in the right place. Welcome! 😊
I use frozen cauliflower and coconut cream. It's quick and easy. Add Stevia to sweeten and sugar-free chocolate chips for a zero-carb ice cream. 🍦 Adding peanut butter and cocoa is delicious, too!
Thanks for endorsing the Vitamix food processor attachment! I only learned of it last month, while watching other kitchen gadget videos, and I was so envious! My Vitamix is a few years older than the models that accept the food processor, so I'm bummed. But at least I know it's a great machine to upgrade to someday!
@@LetsEatPlants I saw this on Mia Maples latest vid titled 1star ... She shows where she learned this and you see an example. She doesn't trash the product , she has a way of using her giant platform to get info out and staying a positive channel . ❤
I'm so glad i found you. You have transformed my life! I have been transitioning to a whole foods, plant based diet over the last few months but have found it a bit dauntiing just trying to know what to eat, what food's to combine together and exactly how to cook them for a tasty meal. It can be very time consuming. You make it look so easy. Thank you for these videos. I am now subscribed and will be watching and learning daily. ❤❤
Aww I'm so glad to hear that!! 🥰🥰 I totally agree it is daunting at first! Glad you are finding inspiration here. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any additional help. 🤗🤗
Wohoo! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 While this challenge is over, you can definitely give it a go on your own! Start small and work your way up. 🤗 Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need any help along the way… here or on IG. 😊
Yes definitely! I’ve used it many times for pizza. 😊 Yes add all the toppings and this cheese and cook for 10-15 mins. If your pizza needs longer than that to cook, you could add the cheese when there’s about 10 mins. left. Enjoy!
Hope you are doing well Maddie! I am sure you had your baby and need some space, but I miss hearing from you! Hope everything went well and you and baby are healthy and happy!
Aww thank you! I really miss making content! But I’m planning to start posting again in July. 🤗🤗 We are doing well overall! Just trying to get into a good sleep rhythm with baby. Never been so exhausted before! Hahaha
I actually hit the multigrain setting on my instant pot and it showed 40 minutes so I did 30 minutes to compromise between 20 and 40 and then I checked it and I wanted it a little bit more soft so I added 10 more minutes and then let it cool down and absorb the water and it was beyond delicious with a little bit of sea salt
So many vegan cooks use coconut oil and coconut milk in recipes. THEY ARE STILL SATURATED FAT, having no place in a whole foods plant-based dietary regimen.
Those ingredients work well for ice cream recipes because they help mimic the fattiness of dairy cream. 😊 But I have quite a few recipes on my channel with no coconut, no coconut oil, no nuts, etc. in case you are looking for a lower fat/ WFPB ice cream recipe! Just search “let’s eat plants ice cream” and they should come up. 😁
@@LetsEatPlants The trouble is that so many eat as if what's on the fork is someone else's roulette game. Free oils, as with coconut milk, fat and its cream are not complete. Even whole coconut ought to be ingested in very small quantities. As my dear mentor, Dr. Michael Greger states: "People don't die of old age or natural causes. They die of disease." Atherosclerosis is the main cause of heart and stroke, now proven with even more data, that some dementias like Alzheimer's are also a result of fat not fully dissolving in the blood flow. Thanks for your personal reply.
@@ms.one-town901 yeah also if you keep respining without adding milk it will come thick like mcdonalds ice cream, or do second respin as milshake option because thats the fastest one then do normal respins if needed, good recipe for you to do is oatmilk honey and cardimon! About 10-15 pods boiled in the pan with the oatmilk then strain the bits out
i live in aus, every supermarket carries miso. shocked usa could find it difficult. So your sauce is a dip and if youre naught could be a dip lol. Wonder if you could do a white bean.. you could make that sauce and a regular cashew cheese? ie if you wanted that quesadilla with both. why not.
This one not really… although you could sub sunflower seeds for the nuts if you’re ok with seeds! It might alter the flavor a bit though. I do have 3 other vegan cheese sauces without nuts on my channel though! Just search “let’s eat plants vegan cheese” and you’ll find them. 🤗🤗
I know this is a silly thing, but nutritional yeast should be stored in a dark container, light can hurt the nutrients in it. Don't take my word for it. 😅 Maybe that info is outdated.
Why is there always onion and garlic powder in cheese sauce recipes? When did cheese ever taste like onions and garlic. As soon as I see those two ingredients, I know the cheese sauce is going to suck.
Hahaha omg yes I do see those ingredients in a lot of cheese sauces! TBH you actually can’t taste them as individual ingredients. I mean, they don’t make the sauce taste onion-y or garlicky .. they just add flavor! But you could leave them out if you want to try. I think you’d like a vegan cheese with lactic acid… definitely tastes more “authentic” to dairy cheese. 😊
Great questions! Check out a few more of my meal prep videos and you’ll see how I store produce. Even washed and chopped, most veggies last 5-7 days. 😊 I only notice mushrooms turning brown after about a week of being chopped, so I try to use them before then. Even if they do turn a bit brown they’re still ok to use, it’s usually just from oxidation and isn’t harmful. 😀
You definitely can! If you’ve ever done it before you will know it’s challenging without adding too much liquid, but if you’ve got it down, then of course you can do it that way. 😊 This machine just makes it easier and a lot of people prefer the convenience.
That’s a great question! I’m not 100% sure, but yes I would be weary of beans like that that normally take a long time to cook. I’d stick to quicker cooking legumes like mung beans & lentils.
