I think the big problem with a lot of people is psychological. What helped me stay lean for several years now is not classifying what I eat on a daily basis as a diet. It's just what I eat. I try to make the right selections about 80% of the time and include stuff I enjoy, meals out etc.. the remaining 20% but still try to factor that stuff into my daily macros.

You are not wrong at all. It’s heavily mindset related.

@@danfounder I'm 26, 6'2 240~. Went from 330 to 230 over the course of 2020-21 through fasting walking and heavy weightlifting. I've put back on 20-30 pounds at a time (girlfriends always make u heavier lol) but have been plateauing at this 240 mark for most of this year. I like the "evolve your mindset" part of this video because I did get complacent once I reached my soft goals. I have a hard goal of 210 by end of year. Appreciate all your content man I follow you on Twitter and Instagram as well!

So many of these hit home. I wasted years on overly restrictive dieting before realizing that it’s fine to indulge in things within reason. I just log them or weigh them to stay honest. As far as daily weigh-ins, I don’t like seeing the fluctuations. So, I use a smart scale that sends the data to my Apple Health app, and just don’t look at the number. (I weigh without contacts or glasses in so that the number is a fuzzy blur). That way I get the granularity of a daily weigh-in, and the 7-day moving average calculated, but I don’t SEE the actual number. Big help.

Whats your opinion on the carnivore diet?
@danfounder
@danfounder Месяц назад
Works for a small percentage of people. For most it’s too restrictive, lacks fiber and nutrients you get from fruits and veggies.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 📉 Many people regain lost weight within two years due to lack of sustainable habits. 👨‍👦‍👦 Neil, a successful client, balanced his health with family and career commitments. 🕰️ Adopting a meal schedule aligned with circadian rhythms helped control Neil's eating. 🍽️ A flexible diet with a 90/10 rule (90% healthy, 10% indulgent) ensured sustainability. ⚖️ Regular monitoring (weighing, measurements, tests) is crucial for tracking progress. 🎾 Consistent physical activity, including enjoyable sports, aids in weight maintenance. 🧩 Personalized plans that fit individual lifestyles are key for long-term success. 🔄 Evolving identity and behaviors is essential for maintaining weight loss permanently.
