Hey Dan! Love your videos. In this one you mentioned .9 x body weight. I use a calorie counter that factors in calories burned. Should I be using the straight .9 or be adjusting for calories burned?
Hi Dan, great video, thanks! I found a lot of things i have in common with what you said. I just wanted to ask you one thing, you said you eat mostly single ingredient food (i'm trying to do the same with my diet) but you said you take a protein shake daily which from what I have read are highly processed... do you have a specific type of shake that is not that processed or i'm wrong about believing they are ultra processed? Thanks!
Bad form on your cable face pulls. Your shoulders are internally rotated. Change your grip to make sure your shoulders rotate externally as you do the exercise. Here's a good video explaining proper form for face pulls: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ljgqer1ZpXg.html
Excellent list for living a healthy happy long life. I am 67 and adhere to many of these tips, rules. My kids don’t listen to their mom but maybe they’ll listen to you 🙏. I am passing this video along to them (38 & 40) TY ❤
I really appreciate you bringing up alcohol. I love bourbon, especially when I am cooking outside or in a social setting with friends. I have not had any alcohol in 2 weeks. I’m looking forward to seeing more content concerning this. Thank you for sharing this video!
It's neutral. All comes down to how many calories you're taking in. That said I believe potatoes are better as a carb source as I find (anecdotally) that they help keep you fuller than rice.
Bruce Lee said: “Do speak positively about yourself, even as a joke. Your body doesn't know the difference. Words are energy and cast spells.” Do create neural pathways of self-worth and confidence when you can create pathways of positivity and self-love. Your words hold power.
I too want to live. I’m gonna BE 80 soon …I work out every day. Never miss. I do 430 sit-ups,walk my dog, bike ride and then every other day I lift weights. 3 sets of 15 on 5 different lifts…..I get lots of compliments
Dude, or just play sports. You get literally every type of cardio out of sports like basketball, tennis, soccer, plus you get skills. How boring is just doing 5 different types of cardio?
You also get to train balance, coordination and get to meet new people. Also it's supposed to be fun/play which in itself becomes more valuable as one ages.
I just think of life like it’s the ‘70s. Minus schedule ones lol My childhood was 80s and 90s but real life is a decade behind kind of, people wear old clothes have old furniture, old cars etc and music no one is cutting edge all the time so it felt like basically the movie Halloween lol super calm, outdoorsy, and felt like the 70s. Everyone was skinny, so I just do all that. Sleep when I’m sleepy, stop eating when I’m full, move around a lot, sort of hippy sort of crunchy. I do have some relaxing things. Bc everyone croaks so why not have the chill things. Life isn’t worth living if you’re so ascetic, that’s my view anyway. I’m not trying to be a machine just a fit 1970s person lol. My kid watched Blues Brothers for the first time this week it’s a vibe.
I don't believe that there's any one particular answer. I think it's a combination of factors ie, genes, lifestyle, including diet, exercise, formal and personal check-ups. Determination to live long and healthy. Be mindful of your organs limitations if you don't give them rest and detoxification.
