Same thing with me. I'm Jamaican and I've never eaten this before but all of a sudden because of these videos I wanna give it a try, but I'm afraid I won't like it
I made this flan for my partners birthday this past weekend and he absolutely loved it! He's trying to watch what he eats, but he tore that flan up! 😂❤ Thank you for this tasty recipe. Also gave some to my family and they loved it too.
I’ve never actually followed a flan recipe… I just add what I think it needs and comes out great… I’ve added cream of coconut and cream cheese to it before and omg that’s my fav way to have it… but you have to make sure there’s no lumps from the cream cheese
Okay I just subscribed. I’ve made flan several times before and this is hands down the best flan I have ever had. I think maybe not over mixing the custard ingredients? Idk but well done sir. 👏
I tried this recipe today! Leaving it in the fridge over night. I hope the results come out great!!! You went right to the point and it was logical!! Thanks so much !
I can't tell you how much nostalgia I felt looking at that. My childhood is a mixed bag but my stepmother was one of the few positives. She came from Colombia and the reason I cook today. My memory may be spotty at times but this reminds me how I saw it being made when I was nine. She didn't make it much as she found out my brother and I ate thres leches quicker.
This is the only chef that knows how to count. Says 6 ingredient and it is. If its with other vlog they will only count the eggs and condensed milk hehe
Some other video said to not stir sugar and just pour into mold immediately once melted completely. I'm afraid of messing up the thing Mind trying this trying this out so I don't have to waste sugar?
This isn't leche flan, leche flan uses only egg yolks and is to be mixed gently so as to remove as much air bubbles as possible, not much of a difference rlly tho 💀.
You can also use smaller cups with brown sugar on bottom. It will look exactly the same when you flip them. This way, everyone gets their own individual flan.
Just want to let you know that you actually made Leche flan instead of regular flan! (Leche flan is the filipino recipe for flan which uses condensed milk instead of whipped cream) None the less. Thanks for sharing this recipe! Always enjoy seeing filipino recipes out without needing to search for em!
I'm pretty sure regular flan also uses condensed milk (at least that's how my mom & fam makes it). From what I looked up, I think the difference is that leche flan has more eggs
Here's a little tip just use egg yolk to the mix. Thank me later. And also you can add little flavoring you want to it. Like little coffee,Choco, strawberry etc what ever your emagination takes you as long it is edible and will not ruin the flan.
