Yi Jin Jing ( Muscle Tendon Change Classic) is one of my all time favourites. Depending on your goals you can use it as a gentle morning routine to activate the muscles and nourish the joints or use it as a deep stretching practice to build core strength and increase flexibility - there are no limits when it comes to Yi Jin Jing. There are many variations of Yi Jin Jing Qigong. This complete Yi Jin Jing version is good for beginners and older adults.

Very relaxing. Having the mirrors helps enormously too. And the music, used also in your other videos too, helps with setting a feeling of calm relaxation. Keep up the great work🙂🙏🏻

Thank you, this was beautiful. I was looking for a version of this exercise that I could teach myself as I used to practice a lot. Looking forward to checking out your other videos 😊 Question: I know that the focus is pretty much always about releasing and loosening tension but is there a certain amount of "extra tension" followed by release, for example when you're making a fist? I ask because I have seen other versions that seem to use more tension than with other exercises, which I understand is part of how this exercise works?

Hi Philip, thanks for your message. I'm glad you like the videos. Well, it is and it isn't. It depends on what goal you are trying to achieve from a practice. Morning sessions can be done with a lot more effort to stretch the muscles and boost circulation. Evening practices can be done softly with less effort to encourage relaxation and cultivate yin energy.

@@qigongwithkseny Thank you, yes, I'm having lots of fun remembering. I hadn't practiced for 15 years and now I can't stop 😊, yes , more Yang in the morning and more Yin in the evening 🙏

Too bad, I failed. I am used to practice it in a "mirror imaged"-way (I usually do Lee Holden Qigong) and so it is very difficult for me to keep in moving AND thinking in which direction the movement really has to be done. Problems started at 5:39 and at 7:20 around I totally fall out of the routine. Don't get into the movement although I know PanZi Gong. But I was too concentrated on how you move and how I should move then, so that I was far too deep in my head and then it blocked the movement completely. I am very sorry, because I liked the way you do it very much. And Lee Holden doesn't practice Yi Jin Jin and so it would have been a nice upgrade for me learning this new technique. I hope the length of my comment is ok, but I want you to give a direct feedback. And perhaps you have an advice, how I could better join your videos ... if possible. :-)

Hi Mac Daddy, many thanks for your detailed feedback. This is one of the reasons why I started my membership site, where I break down the movements and provide verbal instructions. Here is the link to the Yi Jin Jing course ksenygray.com/courses/muscle-tendon-change-classic-yi-jin-jing If that's something you could benefit from, it would be great to have you on board. Kind regards,

How to manage breath in every move?
@qigongwithkseny
@qigongwithkseny 2 года назад
Breathe as naturally as possible, don't change it.Inhale when the body opens/expands, exhale when soften and relax

Technical note: for future recordingsI notice I choose the gym exercices less often because the reverberating sound is less pleasant to work with.
