Big thanks for the yacht tour Dennis. There’s nothing better than spending some quality time looking at great sailboats. PS. My first cruising boat was a Shannon 28, identical to the one you were looking at with the tiller steering :)

Great video! Love dock walking. Love Valiants! I have a Texas built Valiant, and I love it so much, my daughter will have to sell her after I'm gone. Thanks for the fun tour.

Thanks for joining us, Bob. I was on Beaver Island, in Lake Michigan, in an earlier episode, when I took my first really good look at a Valiant. I should have put it in the video. All the hardware is just bigger! My coastal cruiser is just what I need and serves me very well - but a Valiant does pull at my heart. "Dallas" compels me to mention that the Lions may likely see your Cowboys in the NFC Championship Game. Hope so. My best to you and yours, Sir.

Hey, I appreciate your kind comments. This boat is great for now - and in the Great Lakes - but limited offshore. A Shannon or something heavier would help getting past the Bahamas. Good luck ahead with your adventures, as well.

I was waiting out the storm and thought others might like the wander - the video was the fastest to 500 views of any, yet. Expect more boat profiles, DB. I've also been doing some real sailing - in gusty conditions. Fun but challenging physically. I dropped anchor and passed out a couple days ago. Likely back underway tomorrow. I need some sunshine for the videos!! Overcast and cloudy a lot while sailing. Remnants of Ophelia? Perhaps. Fun stuff ahead - thanks again for watching Danette. If yours isn’t the most beautiful boat in the marina, you have the wrong boat! 😄 Many of those capable boats with traditional lines (no Frog boats!) you pictured have been on my shortlist for nearly 30 years. Gozzard, Pacific Seacraft and Caliber are some others and I’ve had the tremendously good fortune to own a Cabo Rico and, presently, an Island Packet. Fair winds!
