A superb walk starting from the parking area at Lanthwaite Green, next to Crummock Water in the Lake District.
The walk climbs up fairly steeply to Whin Ben before reaching the summit of Whitside (707m). From the summit of Whiteside the walk continues over a superb ridge before reaching the summit of Hopegill Head (770m). The walk then follows the clear path over to Grisedale Pike (791m) The views from all three summits are superb and far reaching. From Grisedale Pike the walk then heads down to Coledale Hause before the final section through the valley of Gasgale Gill. The valley has some really nice waterfalls as you head back to the starting point. Distance is around 6.5 miles.

Great shots Eddie. You were lucky to get Crummock so still. Looked like a mirror. Amazing shots. Love the 4K too. Sets you apart. Pssst - a secret. If anyone is reading this who loves the lakes and solitude, even at bank holiday weekends Hopegill Head is really quiet. There are two valleys to ascend from. You'll have it all to yourself. The views on top are gorgeous.

That was a steep climb up, especially for a first one back in the Lakes but it is brilliant to be back mind. After what looked like a right slog to the top, the walk along the ridge was breath-taking, amazing scenery and a couple of cracking still shots. Really enjoyed it and Happy Birthday to Carol today, cheers Alan

Very well shot videos, with good (not excessive) commentary. Music is well chosen and unobtrusive. Often people put loads of their favourite rock music which ruins the video and detracts from the scenery.

Thanks Peter, I must admit, I fell into the trap of putting rock music on my earlier videos, but learnt that it did not really go with the scnenery or create the right atmosphere for the views etc. Producing the videos is a constant learning process and I am always looking at ways to improve.
