You are a legend Richie, my dealer fitted my heated grips last year when it was new and I have been disappointed with the shite heat, just watched this video and discovered they were in 125 mode booooom what a difference proper heat yaasss. Thanks for the video bro....Si
THanks for this video. I'm actually commenting just after you mounted the left side grip and I'm not sure if I missed it. Is the heated grip with the controller unit wider or shorter than the stock grip that you have removed?
Michael , thanks for stopping by and for your kind words👍 Yeah sydney has been frosty this week . This morning the ride in from north west was a chilly one . Do you hav a Mt10?
Hi Richie, couple questions for you. How have these held over over time? Also have you had any issues with uneven heating? Saw a couple other videos where people have had issues with uneven heating. Currently trying to decide between the Yamaha HG or the Oxford HG for my MT-10.
I would NOT use any kind of lubricant on throttle tube or bar where grips will go. Compressed air, and spray a little brake cleaner in each grip and slide them on.
Is there anyway you may know of how to have Both LOW beam Lights going please , as living in a rural area dual low beams on would be better , i am contemplating an MT10sp but want to know if this is possible as the Local Dealer couldn't tell Me, thanks from JOHN 👍🏍
Careful with these. Even with grip glue the throttle came loose frequently. Then mine broke after a year. They started working intermittently and caused a parasitic drain on my battery that left me stranded a few times till I figured it out a ripped them off...
Hey mate, Your right, while i did have a loaner bike once that had the oxfords fitted, they were hella warm, however I chose the Yamaha ones for 2 reasons really, no separate controller and the wife works for Yamaha and I got them at a excellent price.!
I think they're also programmable depending on what capacity bike they're going on so you need to do that before using them. I assume if as bigger cc bikes can generate higher amps for the heating elements so you need to take that into account
My Tracer 9gt OEM grip heaters easily get TOO hot! I never set em over 5 out of 10 levels...I am toying with upgrading to MT10 but not if I cant get decent grip heaters
@@dougiequick1 I think the Tracer grips are different. The Yam ones on the 10 are controlled by buttons on the inside of the left grip. Wouldn't let it put you off a great motorcycle (I've still got mine 5 years after posting the comment starting this thread)
flatlina69 , Cheers bud for reaching out 👌 Rizoma Retros are the mirrors Fitting link is ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PmoUipkFQMQ.html
Total turn off if Yamaha wont offer these as standard WTF? I dont even see where the SP has em even with Yamaha getting premium money for that model....maybe Ill pick another model to lust after damn
